If Huma and Hillary Were Emailing

by Bari Weiss

Dear Hillary,

I'm listening to "Stand by Your Man" on repeat and baking cookies. Also considering joining Twitter—@MrsCarlosDanger has a real ring to it, don't you think? ..............Kidding.

Seriously, just when you think it can't get worse, here comes another 20-something from another dank corner of the Internet. And this woman— her last name is Leathers, you can't make this stuff up—is straight out of "Jersey Shore" with that above-the-lip piercing. Except she's from Indiana. It's like a vast fright-wing conspiracy.

If you're Weiner, I'm not sure how big your ego has to be to stay in this thing. If for no other reason than because he has become the ultimate political punchline.

His campaign manager quits, and the the online joke is: Weiner's Staff Shrinks

Weiner remains in the race and Drudge's headline: Sticks it out.

Anyone who watched him think he could lie his way out of it in the beginning, and then came back to watch him fake his story last week, knows that this isn't over.

What an embarrassing mess. And here's the thing; it's the double-whammmy for progressives, who don't have the collective nutsack to shut him down, so now you have to watch him tarnish your already painfully weakened ideaology. I mean, if Obama isn't bad enough, you throw in Weiner, and is it any wonder all you see around here are a few random progressive going-down-with-the-ship liberals?

Better clean that spot off the bed from your nocturnal emmission LA... You and Weiner got something in common. :nana:

Bill and Hillary Clinton are 'livid' at comparisons to Weiner’s sexcapades and Huma’s forgiveness

Bill and Hillary Clinton are angry with efforts by mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner and his campaign to compare his Internet sexcapades — and his wife Huma Abedin’s incredible forgiveness — to the Clintons’ notorious White House saga, The Post has learned.

“The Clintons are upset with the comparisons that the Weiners seem to be encouraging — that Huma is ‘standing by her man’ the way Hillary did with Bill, which is not what she in fact did,’’ said a top state Democrat.

If Weiner had just run after losing a Congressional election, he would not be doing this well. He is despicable. Not because of what he did--that's just bad judgment and his own little fetish--but because he thinks he's still entitled to hold office after getting caught doing it.

Go away and do something else in your career. Take this as a rock bottom and go get a job with a charity. Rehab your political life in a decade.

Weiner may not have the common sense to back out, but at least NYers are finally backing off him.

New Quinnipiac has Weiner coming up short.

"With six weeks to go, anything can happen, but it looks like former Congressman Anthony Weiner may have sexted himself right out of the race for New York City mayor," said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

"And with Wiener in free-fall, it begins to look like a three-way race again."

After the punchlines and defections, Mr. Weiner will just have to stiffen his resolve.
