Poz breaks Jags tackles record

Paul Posluszny set the Jaguars unofficial franchise record for tackles (231), breaking Hardy Nickerson's 2001 record of 230.

The Jacksonville coaching staff was liberal in their tackle count, also awarding WLB Russell Allen (201) the third-highest total in franchise history. The Florida Times-Union suggests there may have been some "fuzzy math" on Posluszny's total, as he broke Nickerson's record by one tackle. Posluszny graded out near the bottom of Pro Football Focus' ratings for 2012.

Poz is terrible in coverage and was never worth the $ the Jags gave him. The bills screw up a lot resigning their own guys but they made the right decision letting him walk away.

Yeah, we have Sheppard and his 75 tackles and his cement shoes on third down passing plays.....

good to know for idp fantasy leagues - jags hand out tackles like candy.

i know we had a rep for that too, and used it wisely. we gave out like 1.5 tackles per play while league average was 1.2 per play one season! (i forgot the actual numbers, but remember it being like an extra tackle every 3-4 plays being awarded)

that usually happens with a real bad defense. What it means is the Jags D was on the feild a whole lot more then the offense. Poz is good but more tackles is a very deceptive stat

In fat it looks like an average of 5 minutes more per game on D
