I'm not terribly concerned with this election. If Obama wins again perhaps it will be cause for the Republicans to restructure as a fiscally conservative party and put this middle of the road triangulation strategy in the grave where it belongs. I prefer the strategy of educating people on why they should share your view than bending to try to accept theirs. Morons like Dave who think government spending to create demand creates growth  are never going to swing your way no matter how many times their idiotic theory is tested and fails, but it seems there is a big effort to reach out to make the morons feel accepted.

It might not matter any more anyway. The bus is going over the cliff, it's just a matter of how fast we get there and where we land. This election might just be to determine who's going to be behind the wheel when it happens.

It is getting old, isn't it? We always have the normal idiots but these cowards who drop by to leave a turd and and then run and hide and don't come back for a month or two are pretty low.

Compounded by the idea that knowing the difference between "revenue" and "profit" makes someone a die-hard Romney supporter.

Obama cancels Election Season Meeting with Egyptian Islamist, Morsi

President Barack Obama has quietly cancelled a politically risky plan to meet this week with Egypt’s new Islamist president.

The plan was cancelled amid a wave of riots and attacks in Arab countries that have damaged Obama’s campaign-trail claim to foreign policy competence.

In 2011, Obama had “bilateral” meetings with 13 Arab and world leaders during the annual U.S. summit. This year, amid the foreign policy meltdown, his schedule shows no so-called bilats” with any foreign leaders.

The cancelled visit with Morsi was mentioned in a Sept. 23 New York Times article about Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, an Islamist who now governs the Arab region’s most important country.

President Obama finally clears his schedule. Now has time for sit-down

with Honey Boo-Boo and lunch with Snooki.

and don't worry, he can meet with him after the election, you know, when he has more flexibility.....

This:

One can understand why they might do this, given the fiasco in Libya. The men who organized this attack knew the ambassador would be at the consulate in Benghazi rather than at the embassy in Tripoli. How did that happen? They knew when he had been moved from the consulate to a “safe house,” and switched their attentions accordingly. How did that happen? The United States government lost track of its ambassador for ten hours. How did that happen?

What are you implying?

Where would you rather be? In a room full of angry Muslims pissing and moaning about the United States, or sitting on a couch checking out Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

Look at them legs :w00t:

He's the Celebrity in Chief. I do believe he prances around like he's the captain of his HS basketball team. He thinks he's Wilt Chamberlain. Trouble is, he's really Neville Chamberlin. Romney goes around like he the captain of his HS chess club. He's smarter than anyone in the school - including the teachers, but he can't dance.

Benjamin Netanyaho should get on a plane to Virginia Beach and wait for Obama outside his urgent government business here

Netanyahu should just start courting China more closely. A close alliance with the US is becoming less and less in Israel's interests...
