Oh ya, things are going just fine! https://www.axios.com/2025/03/28/elise-stefanik-mike-johnson-trump-un-ambassador President Trump's dramatic rug pull of Rep. Elise Stefanik's (R-N.Y.) UN ambassador nomination has given House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) a new series of headaches. Why it matters: Johnson has to reassure GOP lawmakers after their president said he's nervous about a Trump +20 district. He also must reintegrate Stefanik, who was planning to bolt town next week, into a leadership lineup that's full. Stefanik was crushed and scrambled to reverse Trump's decision before he announced it on Truth Social, according to people familiar with the matter. But for Trump, the margins were too close for comfort. Driving the news: In explaining his decision, Trump undercut the NRCC line that there was no risk of the GOP losing any special elections this year. "With a very tight Majority, I don't want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise's seat," Trump said on Truth Social. Republicans are "afraid they will lose the special election to replace her," Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said Thursday. What we're hearing: Stefanik's congressional staff has mostly resigned. She surrendered her slot on the House Intelligence Committee and had one foot out of Washington. Her Instagram was a showcase of that extended goodbye. She'll have to slink back to the House and reintegrate herself into Johnson's leadership structure, even as Trump dangled the possibility of joining his administration down the line. Inside the White House, there's a view that under Trump there isn't necessarily a need for an ambassador to the United Nations, according to a person familiar with the matter. In a first, Democrats were tripping over themselves to agree with Trump. "Republicans and Donald Trump knew they were on track to lose the special election because of their deeply unpopular, disastrous agenda," said DCCC spokesperson Courtney Rice. "A few weeks ago, they were too scared to face voters at town halls. Now, they are so scared they can't even face voters at the polls."

There is a national narrative that Mahomes' high ankle is the just same injury he suffered vs. Jags in divisional two years ago, a game to which he returned. It is not. This injury is more serious. And yet, the Chiefs are reluctant to announce they'll sit Mahomes. They will maintain their pursuit of the one-seed is the reason. But the real reason the Chiefs fear sitting Mahomes is exposing to the league precisely what they are without him. KC has developed a mystique in its dynasty. This mystique keeps them atop power rankings. With the preponderance of one-score games won, this mystique gives the impression that KC pours out just enough rocket sauce to win...but has vast stores of it when needed. We hear how great the team is, with Mahomes having a rather low to middling season, yet so many wins. We constantly hear how the Bills are carried by JA17 and would be mediocre or less without him. Well, that's correct as it's a QB league. I submit KC has been carried by Mahomes and his absence will demonstrate how average the team actually is. And that's the last thing the mystique-riding Chefs want to become public. A Buffalo Bills Public Service Announcement

Deport a loved one? Extend tax cut cuts? Ship you and/or a loved one to a detention camp? Decree a national abortion ban? Now is your chance to go on the record with your top dictator Trump fears. We want to be sympathetic to your feelings while also giving you the opportunity to point to this in the future and say I told you so.

The GQP playbook: when you can't win on your own merit - the GQP resorts to manufactured culture wars and propaganda. CRT, banning books, erasing LGTBQ, pronouns, woke military... blah blah blah It's time we just categorize them here and we will start with this coked up idiot:

Thought it might be fun to put out some scenarios that would make AFC more competitive than it already is. Rodgers to Denver doesn't worry me much. Russell Wilson to Pittsburgh or Cleveland would really upset the AFC. Adding a top 5 QB to either team would make them legit SB contenders.

Because the AFC standings are so close and jumbled this year I was thinking about which teams I'd fear the most in the playoffs. Here's my list: 1. Chiefs Yea I know they're a bit off this season l, but it's Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Kelce, enough said 2. Colts It might be recency bias, but I think they're a tough match-up for us. Wentz is playing pretty well and I think Frank Reich is one of the better HC's. They might not even get in, and that's what I'm rooting for because I think they're good. 3. Bengals Really good QB, excellent WR Corp, good RB, defense is good. Who the hell is covering JaMarr Chase. I think Burrow has what it takes to put together a magical playoff run. 4. Pats Next week will tell us a lot, but as of now they are playing well. I think Mac is due for an "exposed" type game, but Bill B. @ HC is as good as it gets 5. Browns They might not make it & many woud have the Ravens or Titans here instead, but I think the Browns have a similar recipe as the Colts in the way they can play. Bakers not playing well, but chances are he'll be a lot healthier come playoffs. 6. Titans No Henry knocks them down some, but if they've got AJ Brown and Julio ready in the playoffs they're still a viable team. 7. Ravens I'm lower on the Ravens than most. I think McDermott's proven he's got a nice defensive formula vs. Lamar. I dont think Lamar has what it takes as a passer to make a deep playoff run. If the Bills dont take credit of business & get in the dance I've got a gut feeling we are going to play them and I welcome it. 8. Raiders Meh. Not good, not bad. 9. Chargers Seems like they should be higher, but something is off with this team. They're like the anti Pats. Have all the name cache, but lose way too often 10. Steelers Probably won't get in, but we have seen what their D is capable of when healthy. 11. Broncos Teddy Bridgewater in the playoffs? Sign me up, Id love that matchup It's a strange year because in my eyes there's not a huge gap between 2 though 7. The chiefs are comfortably by #1 most feared opponent, but after that it's kinda like pick your flavor....... Where am I wrong?

Let me start by saying I wouldnt trade Diggs for any receiver. I love that guy and he is elite. However, we have an aging Cole Beasley, 57 year old Emmanuel Sanders, and Gabe Davis who hasn’t taken the next step. None of those guys are gonna run away from a defense. They are only good if they are schemed wide open. I am pleased with Dawson Knox. He’s an athletic tight end that looks to be on his way to being elite. Very happy there. Our running game is a complete disaster. It’s so bad. I couldn’t care less what the “stats” say and what our ranking is in run offense. The point is, we aren’t scaring anyone at all with our running backs. In fact, our run offense is mainly boosted by our quarterback, which is a problem in itself. We lack a speedy weapon and that missing piece is showing up more and more each week as defenses keep figuring us out. Our lack of spending premium draft capital on the offense is starting to catch up with us. I do not disagree with taking Rousseau last year, but I strongly disliked the Basham pick, mainly because we seemed complacent in spending draft capital on the offense. We literally have no one other than maybe Stephenson in the cupboard to step up after Beasley and sanders are gone. I know draft position doesn’t always equate to on field success. Diggs is a fifth rounder and is elite. I get that. But look at our defense. How many first round picks are on that unit? After Allen, the highest bills pick on offense is Cody Ford and he’s a bust. After him, it is a string of third rounders. My point is this…we need to value offense in the draft more than waiting to get leftovers while more and more premium capital is poured into defense. We don’t have any speed on this team and our line is a complete mess. Darryl Williams had plays today where he completely whiffed on his guy. We had over 100 yards in penalties. It’s a disaster. Please Beane…start prioritizing offense. We are resting on our laurels from last year and seemingly expected the same results this year without adding the one thing we need most…speed.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are (and I'm a fan, so I don't have to take it one game at a time). I do think the Bills have the best team in the AFC. The playoffs can always hinge on a few bounces of the ball, but I really like our chances to get to the big game this year. Maybe it's PTSD from 20 years of Brady, but the idea of him waiting there for us is kind of like "the sound of inevitability" from the Matrix or something. Just this thing that won't go away, that we can't avoid and that seems to have some weird paranormal edge over Buffalo. But well beyond that is a team that - when healthy - has units that are almost at an all-pro level in terms of personnel. The defense can be fierce, and the offense has more weapons than any team in the league. They made KC look like amateurs last year (granted, the injuries to the O-line really hurt KC in that game). It would be a great challenge, but personally, I'll be rooting for any other team in the NFC once the playoffs start. Am I overplaying it?

During the beginning of Covid in 2020, I made some video's of me on bass (and some selected keyboard, yes, it's a Casio). There are some flub ups in each of the video's. I didn't select easy songs. (Like 8 of the 9 videos are Rush). The only thing I ask, is please be gentle. But I would like to get your feedback. And maybe I should practice these songs again so I can remember how to play them... https://vimeo.com/kenhoffman

It has taken forever - but the Bills ARE feared

As Bills fans we thrash and gnash our teeth over whom it is they will play. Fear not fellow fans....THEY are worried about the BILLS. Rightly so...... https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/analysis/preston/bs-sp-ravens-preston-bills-20201222-m5fgdhxnanaszcbpe5i5gta6su-story.html -
I think Jim would instantly become the 2nd best coach in the division. I could definitely see him quitting on Michigan. They aren’t worthy of him.
-
It will be interesting to see how he performs. Great college player, but Bama hasn’t lost a beat with his replacement. He’s also very small for an NFL QB.
-
Ok it wasn't so great last year. Episode one last week was great.....basically all Morgan. Episode two was mostly good. Actually everything was good except the ridiculous villain.

He does not instill calm. Please cite examples using Rule #2.

The Cowboys are fearsome inside the NFC East, but when they have to play other teams, their record isn’t exactly playoff-worthy. No, for this team, success is all predicated on winning the worst division in football. The Cowboys are 4-0 against the NFC East and 2-5 against the rest of the world. A year ago, Dallas reached the playoffs riding a 5-1 division record while going only 5–5 against outside competition. The Cowboys know what they like, and it’s lining up against Washington, New York and apparently even downtrodden Philadelphia although that game at The Linc on Dec. 22 may still decide the NFC East. https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2019/11/27/20984680/cowboys-news-antwaun-woods-out-for-thanksgiving-leighton-vander-esch-jason-garrett-urban-meyer

How long will it take for the Bills' coaching staff to get this team to jell? With so many new players from trades, free agency, and the draft can we expect that all these moving parts will operate together at the level they need to compete? We know they have talent, but will it take more than a few months to get this talent to win?
