  1. Cowherd - "This version of the Bills reminds me of the Steelers team under a young Big Ben that lifted trophies. Just because you have a QB with 'God-like' talent, doesn't mean you have to use up every ounce of it every game. Sometimes it's OK for him to be a complimentary piece and just have him put his cape on a few plays a game. This is the version of the Bills that could lift trophies."
  2. Cook is very slippery and tends to get a lot of yards when he leans sideways while being tackled so the defenders can't get a good piece of him...that reminds me a lot of Thurman...teams never got a clean hit on him, they only got little pieces of his body.
  3. Go to -1:29:00 of this video and then watch Dion Dawkins block his man almost 20 yards downfield and plant him on his ass...
  4. One of the absolute greatest start to finish play by play/color commentary calls of all time...perfect timing for everything...might be my favorite playcalls ever Dierdoff right before the INT: "Right now, this New England offense has got to get off it's butt and do something!" The ball is snapped and Dierdorf continues "Your defense just had a 3-and-out, reward them for it." And before he can even finish the sentence Brady throws the pick to Adams and you hear "Interception!" and all Dierdorf can do is laugh "ho ho!!" The announcer keeps going "Picked off right side! There goes BIG! SAM! ADAMS!!!" And all Dierdorf can do the whole playcall is laugh and the yells "Oh no!!!" when Adams rumbles into the endzone...I still laugh out loud every time I watch it...then they show Adams shoving Bledsoe away from him as he tries to come joke and take Adams arm and put it around his shoulders to help carry him to the bench after that INT return... Another one of my favorite plays from that era...Spikes starts the 2006 season with a sack/strip/fumble of Brady and London Fletcher scoops it up for a TD on the first play of the year...Spikes was such a dominant player for us until he tore his achilles...
  5. Hall is damn good, so yeah, a lot of it is they know the passing attack is virtually no threat so they can load up to stop Hall. If they get that corrected next year, Hall is likely a better player but not by much.
  6. I don't know how they don't give the job to Brady...he has really turned things around and unlocked a new dimension to the offense. And turned Cook into a top 5 dual threat in the NFL at RB. And unlocked some nasty along the OLine.
  7. If Shaq Leonard was making a difference he would still be in Indy. He is a shell of his former self.
  8. He is, but mostly he tells it like he sees it and people really reach to try and paint him as some homer...Chris Brown is a homer. Sal is definitely not. At least if you listen to him for more than 20 minutes and don't interpret it the way you want to instead of listen to what he is actually saying.
  9. You mean other then when he kept driving his legs and pushed 5 Cowboy defenders for 3 yards and then had the OLine come in and push them for another 5. Yeah sometimes he is going to get brought down by arm tackles. Sometimes he is going to break multiple tackles on long runs. It's not a "1 or the other" situation.
  10. This team is mentally tough...we saw it in 2021. We saw it last year. We are seeing it again this year. When things get tough and this team is backed into a corner, they are like a wolverine that nobody wants to mess with. Usually it leads to them playing their best football. With so many teams that fade when the going gets tough, it's great to see ours plays it's best.
  11. And yet they did far better than O'Brien has on offense this year. Except in their first game against us.
  12. Like our chances with McD's track record against young QB's with not a lot of game experience. Stick will be looking like a deer in the headlights and likely will throw a couple of easy picks to us.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised to see him as our punter next year. Ironically while it sucks for him he had to go thru this and fight to get back in, it may benefit him financially as now he is a free agent and not subject to the rookie wage scale limitations of a late round pick.
  14. Wow...this one likely won't age well based on Patricia's track record outside New England... https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/sports/nfl/report-eagles-replace-sean-desai-with-matt-patricia-amid-defensive-struggles/3723981/#:~:text=The Eagles have replaced defensive,Patricia%2C a league source confirmed.
  15. Yes, then it was called against Toney, that was 12 and then again in the very next game with the Eagles-Cowboys, for 13.
  16. 2nd in the NFL in rushing and 3rd in scrimmage yards...I'd say Cook is everything Hall isn't right now. This take aged about as poorly as one could.
  17. He broke a lot of them today and now finds himself 2nd in the NFL in rushing to McCaffery and 3rd in the NFL in total scrimmage yards to McCaffery and Tyreek, so I think he has been doing quite well in that department...
  18. What have the Fins done this year against good teams or really over the past 2 decades in December that makes you think they are going to win ANY of those games, let alone 2 of 3?
  19. Christian Benford said it best when asked what he thought it meant for the Bills to be playing their best at this time of the year...he was quiet and thought about it for a minute and then said "It means we them dawgs that can win it all." Don't think anyone is disagreeing after the performance yesterday.
  20. Yes...he didn't take out his own players for once on hits that came after the offensive player was already on the ground
  21. Why? It's been a point of emphasis this year that teams were told about in training camp and has been getting called throughout this season.
  22. Remember last year and every other year just about when a team's starting QB went down and they just folded like a cheap tent? This year it seems the offenses are playing just fine with the backups...it's kinda crazy.
  23. Ugh...that Ridley overturned TD likely sealed a loss for me in my fantasy playoff
  24. This is one of the reasons I loved the Torrance pick...the dude is a just a big, nasty player that brings attitude to that OLine and also is good at anchoring in pass pro. Sure he has had some issues a few times in games against some elite players, but by and in large he has been a huge upgrade at RG They ran the ball almost 40 times and had 0 offensive holding penalties. That's hard to do.
  25. When I screamed that Rasul Douglas was going to be a perfect scheme fit for the Bills, some didn't seem to think he would be and others were unsure. Hopefully everyone has come around by now...that lockdown D the Bills have been executing has been in large part to his ability to play as a perfect scheme fit.
