  1. there is no guarantee he is there if we trade down either. If the Bills think he is their QB of the future, he should be the pick at 8.
  2. I think the list you provide as comparisons is funny. The last 4 have not sniffed a Superbowl yet. Brees was a second round pick, so nobody thought he was elite. Kaep and Wilson were also passed over more than once by most teams in the league. The draft is a crapshoot. Teams find quality QBs every year. Let's hope the Bills do it this year. I don't care which guy they take or what round they take him in, I just want them to identify their guys and go get him.
  3. Totally agree. Time will tell. I'm glad we didn't hire Whisenhent or dig up some other re-tread out of nowhere like we did with Gailey. I'm going to give Marrone a chance to prove one way or the other if he was the right hire or not.
  4. A lot of former players on the coaching staff.
  5. No thanks. He was great in college but has flamed out in the pros. Add to that his legal troubles and apparent stupidity and I would vote for the Bills to stay away.
  6. Who cares? Why are people trying so hard to be mad about this hire? There was not a candidate out there besides Jon Gruden and Chip Kelly that I would have prefered over Marrone. Gruden and Kelly will not be coaching in the NFL this year, so we got the next best thing.
  7. I don't know enough about any of them to have an intelligent opinion. I liked Manuel in the one game of his that I watched. I was not impressed with Glennon in the one game of his that I watched. The scouts put countless hours into scouting these guys. I just hope they identify one of two of these guys as potential studs and pull the trigger this year.
  8. Sign Dannell Ellerbe and Rey Maualuga, please.
  9. My question is this: If they are seriously considering a new stadium in the next 5-7 years, why are they wasting over $100m in renovations to RWS? I wish they would just do whatever structural improvements they need to and save the rest of the money for the new stadium.
  10. Unless they make a trade for a starting QB between now and draft day, I will be completely shocked if they do not stay put at 8 and select the top remaining QB on their board. I'm not saying that this is the correct move, I'm saying that this is what I think the Bills will do. I think it is a virtual certainty that pick #8 in the draft will be taken by Buffalo and will be a QB. I could be wrong, it's happened before.
  11. The report is poorly written. The 6yrs refers to the other receiver that was signed.
  12. Exactly. The most important position in the NFL is QB. We don't have one. We need to get one. Identify whichever one they like and take him at 8. Then come back around and grab another one in Rd4. Sign Matt Moore and you have your 3 Qbs to work with.
  13. You've got to feel a little bit bad for Mike.
  14. I think we need to keep him for his ST ability alone. But I am interested to find out if he will fare better with a more aggressive style of defense. He may do better in man coverage where his athletic ability is most important rather than a zone scheme where he needs to use his brain to make reads and such. Unless somebody gives him a huge payday, I think he will be back.
  15. Ryan Nassib - draft. Hopefully Rd2, but would be fine with Rd1.
  16. it is way to early to talk about specific players or positions in the draft. It's like trying to predict the weather a year in advance. We have to wait and see what base defense we are going to run, which of our our free agents we bring back, what other players we cut, what player we pick up as free agents, what players do at their pro days and the combine, which players fail physicals or get arrested or some other red flags pop up. Way too much happens between now and the draft to really talk specifics, with the exception of Nassib because of his relationship to Marrone and Hackett. I think we all agree that the Bills need to address QB, LB, CB, WR and TE along with depth elsewhere. Whether that is done in free agency or he draft remains to be seen.
  17. Oh no, he lifted his foot. He sucks.
  18. Now we don;t want to draft him because he lifts up his foot on his follow through? Does it matter if the pass was completed or not? Seems like people are trying pretty hard not to like this kid.
  19. Glad you are so sure you can predict the future, can I get this weeks Lotto numbers? Exact quote from Buddy Nix "If you like a guy in the 2nd, you'd better drab him in the first." Based on what Buddy said, it sure sounds to me like he plans on grabbing the guy he likes with their first pick, assuming that a guy they like is still available at 8. We will see.
  20. That would be pretty sweet I'd have to think that the Bills FO would be on pins and needles waiting to see if Nassib would fall to them in round 2. Probably similar to waiting for Cordy Glenn last year. That worked out well, maybe we can get lucky again. Let's hope.
