  1. If we are going to get a new coach, do it up. Go get a guy with a proven winning track record. Cowher, Harbaugh, Gruden, Dungy. Get someone who has proven that they can win and win consistently in this league.
  2. You can't predict what he would or wouldn't have done. But if we are going to try, I predict he would have avoided some of the sacks where Orton stood in the pocket like a rookie for 5 seconds and got crushed. I predict EJ would have protected the ball better than Orton because with the exception of the terrible INT to Watt, he has proven to protect the ball. And I predict that he would have gotten another game of experience against a good team and maybe learned something.
  3. Orton gave NE 10 point single handedly. How did he keep us in the game? I honestly don't get the blind love for this bum. He's Fitzpatrick without the beard. And Orton nearly single handedly have Detroit the game last week if their Kicker was not god awful. The excuses for him are mind blowing.
  4. Orton is already not better than EJ. Yes he has thrown for more yard, but the result is the same. Bad turnovers, missed receivers and losses. EJ is 2-2. Orton is 1-1. What are we getting from Orton that EJ hasn't done? Orton is a veteran who has proved over his career to be mediocre. EJ has played 14 games. Play him and develop him. The rest of the team sucks anyway and is not going anywhere. I'd rather lose with a kid than with a 31 yr old, fat JP Losman look-alike.
  5. If there was a penalty, then why the Ball not moved 5 yards forwards and then it would be 1st and 5? My opinion is the refs just screwed up.
  6. I guess it really doesn't matter. Change the Captain on the Titanic after it hit the iceberg and it still would have sunk.
  7. I don't know if I would say he was the biggest problem. He made some huge mistakes. Bad INT, bad fumble, standing in pocket taking sacks, missing open receivers. All the things EJ is criticized for. But we had many other problems (which I've been saying all along). The QB gets too much blame when things are not going well. We had bad coaching, Bad OL play, Spiller missing open running lanes and fumbling, Duke Williams stinks. Far too many wide open NE receivers and too much time in the pocket for Brady. This was a team loss. But Orton needs to be better of the benching of EJ was a waste.
  8. I need to see more from Orton. If we are only getting slightly better play than EJs worst games, I'd rather let EJ play and see if he gets better with experience. Yesterdays game was a huge reality check. It showed me how far we still are behind New England. We were outplayed in every facet of the game and outcoached by a wide margin. At this point, I am getting to the point where I think this is a lost season anyway. I expect big changed at OBD and I do not expect Marrone and his staff to return.
  9. awesome. Defintely holding back the emotions as I read this letter and as I listened to the presser. This is truly the greatest day in the history of my Bills fandom.
  10. maybe he's faking injury so he doesn't have to play behind his banged up OL and get eaten alive by our D line and LBs.
  11. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't Stork already their third string center? They've had a bunch of injuries at the position, I believe.
  12. Why to all the CJ lovers say "he's a threat to score from anywhere on the field". That's simply not true. He never has and never will be that home run threat people say he is. He get 30-40 yard runs, but he doesn't "score from anywhere" like Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson used to do.
  13. I'm still suspicious of Kim, I think her plan is to build a new stadium in Fairport. Just Kidding. RWS will go berzerk when the Pegula's are introduced. I read that the ceremony will start at 12:40. I will be in my seat earlier than usual (and I'm usually early).
  14. why are you trying so hard to prop up Kyle Orton? He's a decent veteran QB. Sometimes those types of guys flourish in the right situation. Hopefully this is that situation for him. It is far too early to tell and none of us, no matter how hard we try or how much we want it to happen, can do anything about it. Let's just sit back and see what happens. If we are lucky, Kyle will have a good season and the Bills will make it to the post-season. GO BILLS.
  15. Bills win a close one. 23-16 Brady throws an interception as the *Pats are trying to drive the ball to make a comeback.
  16. Just think what a different conversation we are having if Sammy tips that last pass in the air and it gets intercepted and run back for a TD or close enough that Detroit's crummy kicker actually makes a game winning FG? Then a lot of people are saying how mediocre Orton was, how he cost us the game and how EJ should go back in. Orton was lucky on Sunday. He's going to have to play better than that to beat New England and to get us to the playoffs. He's not the answer to any long term plans at this point. He's barely the answer to this week.
  17. I'm curious what value you think you can get for him? Especially if his numbers don't increase, why would someone want him as a rental for the rest of the season.
  18. Wow, I thought there was some crazy rule about owning two teams in two different leagues. I hope nobody finds out about this.
  19. The funny thing is, the pass that Sammy caught that set up the winning FG was about 1 inch away from being intercepted and returned for the game losing TD or FG. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We won last week. This week is going to be a TOUGH game.
  20. The thing is, when he talks about "fan experience" he's not talking about the game day experience that you are I are talking about. He's not talking about the tailgating or the raucus crowd or screaming until you lose your voice. He is talking about making money. He is looking for things that the owners can charge you for at the stadium to maximize their profits. So everyone sniping about the half empty stadium or Khan's stupidity, while you are correct, you are off base. The new stadium is not really about giving you more fun at the game, its about adding more things that they can charge money for. It will happen, so you should probably get onboard.
  21. Carbon copy of the Don Beebe one several years ago. Very scary. Glad he is OK and back at practice. Absolutely hate seeing guys carted of the field on the backboard. Always makes me feel a little sick to my stomach no matter who the player or what team he plays on.
  22. Somebody please make it stop.
  23. At this point, I'm not concerned with the long term future. Let's worry about this Sunday and take it week to week. It is possible that Orton could be our answer at QB for the next few years. Its also possible that he could flame out in the next few weeks and we could be back to the drawing board. Why do we need to have an answer today? Lets just enjoy a nice win against Detroit, First place in the AFC East, the start of the Pegula ownership and the *Patriots coming to town for a game on Sunday with a lot on the line. GO BILLS.
