  1. Or if he could complete a pass to an open receiver with multiple opportunities.
  2. Without the change, I think we'd have the same record. EJ was 2-2. Orton is 3-2 including a game Detroit gave us my missing 3 FGs and a game NYJ gave us with 6 turnovers. Orton is marginally better than EJ.
  3. Ironic post of the week. C'mon Man
  4. Anything less than 9 wins and I believe Pegula makes big changes.
  5. swing pass to Bryce Brown for 7 yds
  6. Enough with the pathetic excuses for Orton. He's in the prime of his career. He's healthy. Did not throw in training camp. He can handle 40 pass attempts especially since many were very short anyways. It not like he's out there throwing 95 MPH fast balls.
  7. Be patient. It'll happen soon enough. The question is, which has great odds of happening? Bills make the playoffs this year OR Marrone gets fired during this season.
  8. I believe the answer to that question is "without a doubt, YES"
  9. It would be pretty cool, but I don't have a ton of confidence that it's going to happen. The loss to KC really killed our playoff hopes, I think. That was a game we needed and was there for the taking, we just could not take it. I don't believe we are a good enough team to win. I guess the bottom line now is that we still have to win the games against NYJ, Miami, Cleveland and Oakland and then we need to steal one from Green Bay, Denver or New England. This is very possible, but I'm skeptical. The rest of the season really is week to week. Me MUST WIN tomorrow.
  10. 12 game season? Are we going back in time to the 60's? LOL
  11. I think Marrone has to get to 9 wins to save his job so he probably sticks with Orton
  12. I just cannot stand Gruden. His face makes me angry.
  13. Fairly simple. If Alex Henery makes one of 3 easy kicks that an NFL kicker should make, Detroit wins. If Kyle Orton makes one of 3 easy throws in the red zone to wide open receivers, which any NFL QB should be able to do, we win.
  14. I would probably rather see them play Orton the rest of the year. 3 of our last 4 games are guaranteed losses no matter who is QB. I'd hate for EJ to take the blame for that from all the haters who already know that a 23yr old with 14 starts is a lost cause. It will be fun to see what excuses the Orton nut huggers come up with to explain away his failures.
  15. Alex Henery is the only reason the Bills have a winning record with Orton under center.
  16. LOL. I didn't even notice that. I did catch the "to" but never saw Expection. Priceless.
  17. Hopefully they get 6-7 more tomorrow night.
  18. Orton didn't single handedly lose the game. But he should have won it for the Bills. All he needed to do was not suck. He needed to complete ONE pass to a wide open receiver. He had more than one try to do it and fails. Whatever criticism he gets is deserved. If you don' see or can't admit that then you are either "a) trying to further some "agenda," b) didn't really watch the game, c) thinks that "passer rating" has some statistical relevance, d) doesn't understand football, or e) all, or some combination of the above."
  19. You might be right but I think 10 wins gets us in. I don't think we will get 10 wins but if we do, I think we get in. Regardless, 10 wins would be a very impressive season.
  20. What's the point of this thread? I think this is basically an elimination game. While the loser will still technically be alive for a playoff spot, they are basically done.
  21. I think this assessment is spot on.
  22. Orton for this week. If he sucks again, its time to reconsider, since order is starting because we need "production at the position".
  23. Did you know that EJ and Kyle have almost exactly the same career completion percentage? (KO 59.1/EJ 58.6). EJ had some bad games before getting benched but he's not as horribly accurate as the haters keep saying. Orton has had 10 years to improve his accuracy and hasn't done it yet so many of you believe he is great. EJ has started 14 games and those same people are convinced he can never improve. I just don't get the Orton love and EJ hate. Here's my honest assessment: As of today, Orton is a marginally better pocket passer than EJ is. Orton has Zero mobility and is not a threat to run. He has reached his peak. He is a journeyman backup. EJ - is a young QB who has mobility, has had some success and has lead some game winning drives. He lacks experience and confidence. I believe he has upside. I like having both QBs on the roster. My problem is the coaches. I don't have any faith in Marrone/Hackett to develop EJ.
  24. Marrone was trying to save his job by playing Orton. Seems like players were frustrated with EJ. Marrone felt Orton gave him the best chance to get to a winning record and keep his job for another year. I don't blame him for making it. The question is, should Russ and Whalley demanded that he continue to develop EJ? I say no. Marrone should have authority to decide who plays and control his own fate. From the beginning, I understood the move but disagreed with it. It seems like a wasted year for a first Rd pick. But maybe the benching was hood for EJ. Maybe he comes back in with more fire when he gets his next chance. Who knows. I would not say this was a Strength. He was better than EJ but still towards the bottom of the league in red zone efficiency. Excluding Sunday's game, we were 8 of 16 in the redzone with KO. 50% would be tied for 25th in the league. Not really a strength although the Orton lovers always wrongly say it is.
