I think this is the biggest problem with the fanbase. None of this has any effect on the current QBs on the roster yet it is held against them. Just because we haven't had success developing a QB doesn't mean that EJ will never develop or the next young QB we bring in is doomed to failure. Fans need to let the past go and they need to realize that it takes a couple years for a QB to really develop. On rare occasions, a rookie QB will be good from the get go, but that is rare. Most struggle. The issue is that our fanbase has no patience for that struggle. Dumping a struggling young QB without a dramatically better option on the roster just sets the team back in terms of development.

Its possible Orton has looked his best against the Jets because the J-e-t-s suck suck suck.

with a 9-7 finish, I think its a safe bet that Marrone gets one more year. 8-8 and then its a toss up. 7-9 or worse and he's gone. Just my opinion.

I thought the same thing. Their OL was moving a half second before the snap on several occasions.

I was at the Pats game and I felt that we never had a chance to win that game. NE was the superior team all day. Yes, we beat the Dolphins. I don't think they are a very good team.I think there are a few VERY good teams in the league right now (NE, Denver, GB) and then A bunch of teams all jumbled together. I think the Bills are in the bottom part of that jumble. The Bills are pretty much what their record says. Just above Mediocre.

The Bills looked great against possibly the worst team in the league. Lucky for the Bills, we got to play them twice. The Bills are beating bad teams. The only good team they beat was Detroit and that was because Detroit does not have a kicker. When we played the *Pats, we were embarrassed. I think the Bills are a decent team with questionable playcalling and inconsistent OL and QB play. The next 5 games will tell us a lot about the Bills. If they find a way to get to 9 wins, I will say they are a good team.

I heard it mentioned after the KC game that Marrone had taken over playcalling on the offense. Not sure if true or if anything has changed since that.

I've always liked the idea of the open air stadium and playing in the elements. But as I get older, I realize that the smarter move is to have a dome. This opens up the potential client base to older, more affluent fans who choose not to go sit outside. If we had a dome, I think it would increase the number of families at the game and reduce the numbers of drunken idiots. Like many others, I too would prefer a retractable dome so it could be open during the early season and nicer weather games.

I think this is b.s. 1.) Marrone is terrible and clueless. The fans know it, the media knows and the players damn well know it. 2.) The players are not stupid. They can see that Orton is not getting the job done. 3.) The players are paid to work hard and play ball. I could care less what their opinions are. Do your job and STFU.

Someone else pointed out that not having our #1 pick in the upcoming draft could be a hindrance in recruiting a top tier coach/GM or football person to the team. This made we wonder, do you think the Watkins trade was (at least partially) done to intentional sabotage the team's chances of getting a new coach/GM in 2015 and thus extending the careers of Marrone and Whalley for another year?

Perfect post Alpha. I'm wondering if all the EJ hate is because he wasn't the QB people wanted to get drafted. I could care less. He's young. Give him some slack. The same as Orton gets. Both have strengths and weaknesses. Both have had good and bad games and have made good and bad passes. Some people are so convinced that EJ can never improve, yet they talk about giving Orton time to get better in the offense after he's played for 10 years in the league.

That's been going around since yesterday. It would be AWESOME to get Cowher.
