  1. I'm going to be sitting out in that crap. 40 degrees and rain is the absolute worst. I'd rather have 10 degrees and heavy snow. When you're wet, you're cold. It going to be a crummy weather day. Hopefully the Bills kick some butt and we don't care about the weather.
  2. "He didn't say anything I was really surprised by. The most interesting thing was he said Orton at practice is yelling at the receivers, and told them if they weren't trying and open in practice he wasn't throwing to them in the game. And they all smartened up quick" Maybe I am naive, but shouldn't that be a coaches job, specifically the position coach? If these guys are not trying in practice that is a BIG problem.
  3. I think Cowher will coach again and it will be in Buffalo. (In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if he was waiting for the Pegula ownership of the Bills all along). As for the Jets, Harbaugh is my guess. I think they trade a pick to get him and give him all the power (Ryan and Idzik both get canned). If not Harbaugh, I could see Jon Gruden. He's an egomaniac and would love the NY stage. Plus they'll have a pick in the top two or three so he can choose his QB.
  4. I hope you're right. I just don't see them beating NE, Denver or GB. So that is 6 losses. I don't believe we will win all 5 of the remaining games. But that's why they play the games. 10-6 would be fantastic.
  5. This describes the Bills too.
  6. I think this conversation is better for the end of the season. Let's see how things play out. Let's not get too overboard with Orton beating two of the worst teams in the league. He did not look like the long term answer against New England. As others have said, if he continues to play well and win then he is your answer for this season and probably next. After that, who knows. There is a ton of uncertainty with this team heading into the Pegula Era. We may have a completely new coaching staff and/or front office next year.
  7. I don't know what people are so consumed with predicting the future. "Orton is our Rich Gannon", "EJ will never be good", "Watkins will be one of the best ever", etc. Time will decide all of these things. Don't be in such a rush to pick the future. Enjoy the present. Orton has played pretty well and the receivers have responded. The team has won some games against competition they should beat. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Hopefully they continue to win and get back into the playoffs. At the end of the season, we can decide just how well Orton performed. He is a solid NFL QB. Hopefully this is the right situation for him to flourish. Time will tell.
  8. it would be good for the economy because they would need to hire atleast one person to follow them and pick up the poop.
  9. I don't expect the Bills to make the playoffs this year. I just personally don't feel like they are a playoff team. That said, I hope they keep winning and atleast make it interesting. Would be fun to head into the final couple of games with playoffs still a possibility.
  10. I would disagree. I don't think there is a team besides the Raiders who would hire him right away as a Head Coach. I think he will go back to DC for a year or two or go onto TV for a while so he can hear himself run his big mouth.
  11. I had one in lot 5 on Sunday. Nobody said anything. I bring a fire pit to keep it enclosed and controlled. And I just checked the Bills website and it doesn't say anything about fires being prohibited. The only thing I could find was: "Please extinguish all flames and grills before entry or departure from the game."
  12. One thing that always drives me crazy is how pedestrians walk right down the main driveway instead of walking in the marked pedestrian walkways. This causes major slowdowns for paying customers in the parking lots and creates safety hazard for the pedestrians walking in the driveway. I would like to suggest parking lot security directing pedestrians into the correct walking lanes, as well as barriers along the walkway to keep separation from cars and pedestrians. As it is now, their are concrete or metal poles dividing the areas but those are easily skirted by the pedestrians. There should be fencing of some kind to keep walkers from randomly stepping out into traffic.
  13. Beating the Jets on the road will be a challenge. Their strengths do match up in their favor to some of our weaknesses but our strengths also match up well to their weaknesses. On a neutral field I think we win this game more often then not, but going to their house gives them the edge. That said, this is another must win game for us.
  14. My guess would be Cowher
  15. I think it is a combination of several factors. The quality of players is not great, but teams have been able to get decent play out of less than great OL in the past. The coaching is questionable. The Head coach, OC and OL coach are all in over their heads in the NFL, in my opinion. I think a better position coach would have them better prepared technique-wise to handle stunts and such and would have them better disciplined to avoid stupid penalties. A better OC and Head coach would have schemes and plays designed to take advantage of the things our players do well and mask the things we don't.
  16. why do people get so rapped up in what somebody else thinks might happen in the future? Who cares? He has no idea what will happen and no influence on it. His opinion is like a fart in a wind storm.
  17. That play really ticked me off. We were sitting there watching the safeties line up literally 21 yards off the line of scrimmage and backing up at the snap. The Bills gave them that first down.
  18. I think she called me some bad names, I wasn't listening.
  19. Same here. I generally just tune them out and watch the game. My wife will sometimes comment about something they said and I'll be like "I have no idea, I wasn't listening to those babbling idiots". She asked me how I tune them out, I replied "Well, we've been married for 21 years..."
  20. I want to see Boobie bouncing all over the field. The rest of the team needs to support Boobie. I'm concerned that Boobie will be exposed in pass blocking. I'm hoping Boobie goes untouched all day. Is it coincidence that Boobie takes over as our starting back during Breast Cancer Awareness month?
  21. I think embarassing is the wrong word. I am annoyed that the game went the way it did. I'm thrilled that we won and impressed as hell at that last drive. But overall, the offense played like crap. O Line is terrible. Play-calling is mind boggling. Orton made some poor throws and held the ball too long. Dumb turnovers, penalties, dropped passes. The defense played well for the most part although I hate some of the soft defensive call on 3rd downs. But, when it really mattered, the team came together and pulled out a win. The Defense held Minnesota and got the ball back and the offense overcame a few errors on the game winning drive. The final 5 minutes of the game overshadowed and probably up some huge areas that need improvement. We stayed alive for another week. Now we need to go on the road and pull of a victory against a division opponent in their home stadium.
  22. I believe he did have 4 game winning drives in 4th qtr or OT in his 14 starts.
  23. I like EJ and still want to see more from him down the road, but Orton is the starter now and I am behind him. He has some bad moments during games that drive me nuts, but when it comes down to it, he comes through. The biggest thing he brings to the position is confidence. He is not afraid to make a mistake and he instills confidence in the players around him. The offense was pretty crappy for most of the game yesterday, but that last drive was impressive. Even for an Orton skeptic like myself, I give him wicked props for that drive. Lets hope the offense shows up this week and beats the Jets. This will not be an easy game on the road.
  24. I honestly think our biggest issue on offense is coaching. We have talent on that side of the ball. Pears, Urbik and Wood have all played decently enough under previous regimes. The current staff is not getting the most out of their playoffs. I don't think these coaches belong in the NFL. Keep the same roster and bring in competent coaches and we'd be in the playoffs.
  25. the Bills text out the inactives and many local reports will tweet them when they come out. JoeB from WGR comes to mind along with Mike Rodak.
