  1. I don't mind Brown as the 1st Pick...IMHO The Bills MUST add a DE/Pass Rusher with the Pick at #11...Whether it's Brown, Ayers, Jackson, Maybin if He slides a bit...It matters not to Me...As long as The Bills get someone who can get to the QB with that Pick I'm OK with it... In the 2nd (based on this Mock) I'd rather see the TE Ingram go to The Bills...I REALLY like the way that Kid looks...As long as Our Doctors say He's OK I'd LOVE to see Him in Buffalo...I think he's a 1st round talent who is being pushed down a bit by the injury...I realize He's WAY raw and not the best Blocker right now...But I think the sky is the limit for that Kid once He gets a Year or two of Pro Coaching...Plus I think The Bills need another Player named Cornelius to turn this thing around... In the 3rd a LB or an OG...In the 4th whatever they don't get in the 3rd...
  2. Why not? Are You freaking kidding Me?
  3. And that's encouraging how? Seeing as though they've been pretty optimistic for a while now...Until reality set in...They continue to ignore the fact that their HC is a proven loser...Forgive Me if The Bills FO optimism is no longer fooling this lifetime Fan...
  4. Based on My many, many Years of "contribution" it's tough to argue that point...
  5. True... And if Peters does not have a new Deal He won't be at that one either...
  6. Jimbo... Do I really have to explain? That's what I thought...
  7. Agreed Bro... Crow would flash at times...But that's about it...I never felt He was all that...I think there are better LB's still available in Free Agency, and I expect The Bills to Draft a LB somewhere in Rounds 1-4...
  8. I said the same a couple weeks ago Pete... I'm not saying that is who I would prefer necessarily...Though I admit Ayers REALLY impressed Me in those One-on-One Drills at The Sr. Bowl...He looked unblockable at times showing great quicks and strength...When He made Plays in the backfield at Tenn He looked REAL impressive doing so...I also like the fact that He has a bit more Size than most of the other DE candidates... What I can't understand is how a DE with that much natural talent only earns 3 Sacks in a College Season...I just don't get it...I'm not sure the Kid is self-motivated enough, and for that reason I'd pass if I were The Bills...That being said, put on that tape of Him at The Sr. Bowl Practices and You can see why the Kid is REAL high on some NFL Boards... We'll see...
  9. I don't disagree with a lot of what You wrote...But I would not refer to the Doc release to further Your point...Dockery underachieved BIG TIME based on his bloated Salary...The guy was being paid like an All-Pro and played like an All-Girl at times...He was a HUGE disappointment! Just because the Redskins overpay for a Player does not mean He's worth it...Let's not forget it is the Redskins We are taking about... Otherwise point well taken...
  10. It was Wilson saying He remembered that Modrak wanted Cutler...He mentioned this when He elevated Modrak to the "Inner Circle."
  11. Sorry but I just don't buy this logic...Ever...We are not all alike...Jason Peters is already a millionaire...There are Players all over the NFL who take less than their Market Value...It's all about the influence of The Agent over the Player and the amount of greed/pride involved...I'm not saying Jason Peters does not deserve more than His current Deal because He does...But He could give The Bills a Home Town Deal and still be a multi-millionaire even if He never Plays another Game for the rest of his life (His Signing Bonus would be guaranteed and possibly as much as $20 million)...There are PLENTY of Folks who would gladly settle for around $10 million per Year and $20 million guaranteed...PLENTY of Folks... So is Peters REALLY doing what anyone would do? Just saying...
  12. Agreed Bill... But what You gonna do?...You know? I think We are not only dealing with an Organizational philosophy (DB's over Interior Lines on the priority list...See Whitner over Ngata...) but we're also dealing with a Team that simply does not want to pay Peters what He wants because Buffalo is a "Small Market." Or whatever excuse they want to use...So the deck is stacked from the get-go... I'm only in favor of Trading Peters cause I'm convinced The Bills will not be able to work out a Deal with His Agent...Not because I want to see Our 27 Year Old Pro Bowl LT leave Town...I just don't see The Bills moving towards an agreement with Peters...And if they can't get it done now I think it's time to move on, get what You can, and cross Your fingers The Bills hit on a few Draft Picks in 09... What Ya gonna do? We'll see...
  13. Agreed... And I'm afraid I know where this thing is going... I'm fundamentally against Trading Jason Peters...I think when You get a LT in House that is capable (yes I know he was WAY down in 08) of playing at an All-Pro level You keep the Guy...Period...The thought that The Bills will be able to replace Peters with a Rookie, or move Walker to LT...well...it's risky thinking... I also feel VERY strongly that The Bills cannot afford another lengthy Hold-Out by Peters...Shuffling around the Line again and showing The League how stubborn both sides can be is going to do NOTHING for morale (Locker Room, Fan Base, Organizational...etc...) overall... This is The Buffalo Bills Organization of 2009...I think We as Bills Fans know exactly where this situation is headed...I don't believe The Bills are going to do what it will take (Salary-wise) to keep Peters...I hope I'm wrong, but I think I'm right... I think they have been seeking a "Home-town-discount" type of extension from the get-go...And there is NO WAY Peters' Agent is going to agree to that type of Deal...Peters is a 27 Year Old, 2 time Pro-Bowl, LT...His People will never accept anything but being the highest paid LT in the NFL when He Signs the Deal...And They know beyond a shadow of a doubt there are Teams out there, probably a few of them, that will give Peters the big deal...If The Bills won't, I don't think they have any choice but to Trade Peters now and try to get a ton in return...It's step up or get the heck out time... It's still REAL risky, but JP's Trade Value is about as high as it's going to get...And if The Bills are not interested in making Peters the Top paid LT in the Game, they might as well move on immediately...I was watching "Path To The Draft" yesterday and the feeling is just about every Team in the Top 10 Needs a LT...We all know Philly has a HUGE need there and two 1st round Picks...Might as well see what You can get Buffalo...By no means am I saying Peters can be replaced by a Draft Pick or two...In fact I kinda doubt this will work out all that well...But it is what it is...And if You assume the Bills are not willing to pay Peters what He wants, I can't see how there is another viable solution...Plus if You hit on the extra Draft Picks along with your own, it could turn into a REAL bonanza...Buffalo's Scouting Department aside...Come on! It could happen... We'll see...
  14. One thing is certain...Peters had a drop off from 07-08...I imagine that drop off was directly related to the Holdout...The Bills CANNOT go through another Hold Out from Peters in 09...This is some VERY dangerous territory because We are talking about the LT Position...But enough is enough...Peters Trade value is pretty much sky high...And it's not going to get any higher if He continues to underachieve in 09... I'm reluctantly in favor of Trading Peters...Chances are the Bills get a 1st and something for one of the Premier LT's in the NFL (at least if You ask Peters' Agent He is...)...Unfortunately, chances are also good The Bills see a drop off at the LT Position this coming Season...But at this point I don't see how they are going to bridge a $3 million per Year gap...Especially considering the fact that The Bills don't seem willing to pay ANY Player top cash at their Position...At least with a couple extra Picks in Rounds 1-3 The Bills will be able to fill a couple more holes...And IF the Bills get lucky and grab the right Kid, they could very well fill the LT Need in this Draft... My gut is telling Me Peters and The Bills are never going to see eye to eye again...If there is a Team willing to give up a couple Premium Draft Picks for Him I think it's time to cut all losses and move on...No more distractions at the LT Position please...
  15. Well I'm not sure about the two 1st Rounders thing...But I know Adriana Lima does not want to bang You first of all because You spelled Her name wrong...She hates that! And secondly cause She's already banging Me...
  16. Mayock has him #12 Overall...I did not need Mayock to tell me the Kid has some serious talent though...I just watched those Sr. Bowl One-On-One's...I was like..."Who is that Kid?" Honestly I have no idea how a DE with that much natural ability only has 3 Sacks in a Full Season...And I admit that is a bit worrisome...But a DE with that much upside at a solid 270 lbs...I think He's exactly what the Bills Need short and long term... We'll see though...
  17. I'm almost always in favor of Trading Down and getting extra Picks...If The Bills can grab an extra 2nd Round Pick I would do it in a heartbeat...Especially in this Draft where I doubt there is a lot of difference between Players you can grab at #11-#20...That being said I'm pretty high on 2 Players at #11...DT BJ Raji and DE Robert Ayers...I think both Players would provide immediate help...I'm REAL high on Ayers...I think those who are selling him short are insane...Just watch the Kid in His one on one drills at the Sr. Bowl...He's a monster...And He's a true 4-3 end at 270 lbs...I doubt Raji will be there at #11...But if He is I think it's a no-brainer...Other than those two I would Trade Down, get the extra Picks, and stockpile talent...I would target Ayers, Pettigrew, or Maualuga in a Trade Down scenerio...
