  1. Right...I understood that part...But you have to figure all these Teams with more 20 yd-plus plays have at least a few of those screens or swing passes that broke for a nice gain...I'm thinking in the end it will all average out to The Bills being no where near good enough...Big surprise!
  2. Of all the embarrassing statistics tied to The Bills 2012 Season, this has to rank near the top...If the 16th and 17th ranked teams have 40, and 39, 20 yd-plus pass plays respectively...And The Bills are sitting at 7??? Really? 7? That seems impossible...
  3. Agreed... I like Smith a ton...And despite the fact that some want to push him down the board a bit, which would be awesome for The Bills, I don't see it happening...In the end I just don't believe you complete 71% of your passes in major College Football by accident...Smith is known to be a Football junkie who prepares extremely well, works hard, and is smart...His arm is more than adequate, and I think he'll show at the Combine that he is a pretty decent athlete...Sure he's not a prospect on the level of Luck...But who is? And Luck is not in the 2013 Draft anyway...I think for all these reasons, and more, Smith still ends up going #1 overall...A Team like KC simply cannot afford to pass on Smith and be wrong...Though I hope they, and a few others, do...
  4. While I like a few prospect QB's in this Draft, Barkley is not really one of them...I don't think he's a 1st Round QB prospect...Though I will say the kid showed me a TON of toughness this year...Watch that Stanford game...He's got absolutely mauled in that game and kept bouncing back...It's tough to 100% evaluate Barkley's Sr season because of that USC O-Line and the fact that he was facing some big-time pressure WAY too often...Still...I'm not crazy about Barkley's arm, athletic ability, or his size...I'd rather see The Bills pass on him...We'll see...
  5. We'll have to wait and see about that...There is talent in this class...Big time arms, and big play ability...Judging an entire QB class before they even get to the Combine is the definition of premature...I'll let the process play out before I make any blanket judgments ..I can all-but guarantee there will be at least a couple QB's in this class that become regular starters...Many of these Kids have very good arms and smarts...Some come from Pro-style Offenses...I know they may not be the best examples, but certainly no one thought Brady, Brees, or even Rodgers were going to be as good as they turned out to be...There is some luck involved in the Kid you take...But I think there will be a good one...or two...or maybe even more in this Draft...I really do...
  6. We're seeing eye-to-eye on this one for sure...It's not so much about having to Draft a QB to me...It's MUCH more about Nix and this bunch, and their ability to Draft the right guy...That definitely scares the heck out of me...
  7. Not if they don't fix the QB position... Otherwise I agree 100%...
  8. It depends Sir...If Te'o runs a 4.8 at the Combine like some believe he will...Then he'll drop a bit...If he runs in the 4.5-4.6 range he goes very high... Well...They are going to take a QB, and regardless of whatever Buddy is trying to spin, I would say the chances are better than 75% that they do so in the 1st Round...I think the chances are 100% that they will take a QB by The Bills 2nd Pick in the 2013 Draft...So your concern is valid...Because I think they're doing it no matter what...
  9. Honestly the guy makes me dizzy when he's spinning... My take on this whole deal is simple...Nix and Gailey know their backs are against the wall...They know the HAVE to take a QB, and they know Fitz is not the guy to get The Bills where they need to go...But he can't say it...And it's frustrating the hell out of them internally, because they know what they are going to do...basically at least...at the QB position...But they can't say it, and they don't want to disrespect Fitz...So...The frustration builds and you get these loops in the QB talk that basically mean nothing...The only thing that is certain is that they are going to take a QB sometime early in the 2013 Draft...
  10. I think you're 50% right...It is Gailey, but it's the QB as well...That's why I don't fault Gailey completely...If he had a better QB to work with the team would be better despite his shortcomings...The same way the team would be better with Fitz and an outstanding HC or OC...It's both of them...And the combination of the two results in way too many losses on Sundays... And we can't forget about how bad the Defense has been at times as well...UGH!
  11. One of my favorite songs...like ever...
  12. ^^^ This I'll add to this statement by saying the opinion of Fitz by Nix/Gailey is what disabled the upgrade at QB...Nix said it in his interview this AM on WGR when asked about Russell Wilson...He said they liked Wilson a lot, but felt the need for a speed WR was greater in the 3rd Round...That statement speaks volumes about the way Nix/Gailey evaluated the QB position here...Sure it's time to Draft a QB now...Their backs are against the wall and they know it...It's got nothing to do with solidifying the future and blah, blah, blah...It's got everything to do with the fact that they now know internally Fitz is not gonna be the guy for long...And now, after 3 years, they have laser focus...That's fine when you're fortunate enough to get in a position to Draft a Luck, RGIII, Cam Newton...We'll see if The Bills get lucky enough in this next Draft...But to be perfectly honest I'm concerned about how they have backed themselves into this QB corner...That's why I think they should take two in 2013...Just my opinion...
  13. I've posted here a couple times already that Sal Capaccio on WGR said Glennon is the name to watch for The Bills at QB in the 2013 draft. A few weeks ago Cappaccio said The Bills are very high on Glennon and have been down to see him in person a lot this Season...Sal seemed to have some inside info on it... To be honest it caught me off guard a bit...Then I went and read a bit more about Glennon's move up...And watched vids on him...I'll say this much...He's a definite possibility for The Bills, and I definitely think he gets Drafted before Barkley...Watch the Clemson tape on him...He's not perfect...But he makes some very nice throws...He's definitely got an NFL arm then some...His mannerisms remind me of Peyton Manning a bit...Just the way he looks throwing the ball in the pocket...I'm not comparing him to Manning...He's not exactly surrounded by top talent at NC St. either...His WR's have dropped a ton of balls this year... Nonetheless, I could live with The Bills taking Glennon...No question about it... Sorry did not see this before I posted...
  14. "Fell On Black Days..." by Soundgarden "How would I know That this could be my fate..."
  15. Well...If so...Good luck with that McLovin...
  16. If his 40 time is slow it can happen... Some feel he may be a 4.8 guy...Others feel he will run much faster after dropping the weight...But a 4.8 would hurt him big time...I don't think it would drop him out of the top 15, but ILB's that run that slow rarely go top 5... I've said here before that Te'o, to me, is far more Rey Maualuga than Ray Lewis...And that's not necessarily a terrible thing...It would still be a HUGE upgrade for the Bills...But I don't see Te'o as a top tier NFL LB just yet...I want to see how he runs first...
  17. Less experienced? Well...Sure...So is Andrew Luck, and RGIII for that matter...Damn rookies... McCarron is not a great athlete like Cam Newton, but he's certainly a better athlete on the hoof than Fitz, he already has slightly better pocket presence, and though he does not have a great arm like Stafford, it's a hell of a lot better than Fitz's noodle... McCarron would go no later than the 3rd Round in this Draft...If he continues to improve next year, which I'm sure he will, he can work his way into the 1st in 2014...And he's a considerably better prospect than Fitz was coming out...
  18. I'm uncertain if NFL Scouting is your career goal...But if so, you may want to hold off on that dream just a bit... I'm not saying McCarron is a sure fire 1st Round Pick either...But with another year of seasoning, I don't see any reason why he can't work his way into the 1st Round...McCarron is going to score some serious points with Scouts due to his competitive nature...And if everything goes right for him he could have 3 National Championships by the time he enters the NFL...That would be amazing... But anyway...McCarron is WAY ahead of McElroy as a prospect at this point...He'll likely go in the 1st-3rd Round area...And he'll start in the NFL at some point...He's a very decent prospect...
  19. No...What you obviously don't get is that Fitz is not good enough...Period...End of story...And defending him is the greatest waste of time imaginable...WTF is wrong with folks like you? I disagree with your 1st statement...To say most posters here are looking for the next Brady is a bit ridiculous...It's the typical over-exaggeration that brings this board down to gutter-level most of the time...Most poster want a better QB than Fitz...Which, to be perfectly honest, is really not asking for much...The majority of poster on this board are level headed...Not the other way around...
  20. Well...They may not have been before...That's fairly obvious at this point...But now they have no choice...And they know it...Believe me, they know it...
  21. Consider him? Compared to what we have now I'd give the guy anything he wants... And for those of you who think Saban is blacklisted in the NFL, or whatever, you're completely wrong...The guy left a weird Ownership situation in Miami, went to a down Alabama Program, and build the best Organization in College Football...He walked the walked and proved how good he is...They'll be lined up for Saban if he wants back in the NFL...And The Bills should be 1st in line IMHO...But they won't...They'll just let him pass by...Like idiots...
  22. I heard the "winded" comments by Gailey this AM and I was thinking, what? Does CJ have a breathing problem or something? I can understand taking a break for a play or two...OK...But this kid is in amazing, I mean...incredible shape...I just could not understand the way Gailey made the comment because it sounded like it's a regular thing with CJ asking out because he was winded...It really struck me as being a bit strange...I'm glad CJ set the record straight...Now Chan can file that excuse I guess...
  23. Exactly!!! Not that I don't follow the ratings systems...But come on folks...Use your eyes!!!
