He is still very young, and like I said he's got great potential...If he's in great shape he has monstrous athletic ability for a DT...But excuses aside, he's been a disappointment so far...So far... He still has plenty of time to turn it around...We'll see...I'm routing for the Kid...I really am...

Dareus sits in the middle of one of the poorest Run Defenses over the past two years...He has been a HUGE disappointment...I'm not sure how anyone could come to another conclusion...He's not a difference maker...At all...He certainly has potential...He shows flashes no question...But considering he was Drafted ahead of at least 5 players who are among the best in the NFL at their positions (AJ Green, Patrick Peterson, JJ Watt, Julio Jones, and Aldon Smith), I think it's safe to say Dareus has underachieved in a big, big way...That's not to say he can't turn it around if he gets back down in weight...But so far, not so good...

Glazer is plugged in big time...If he's reporting Nix is gone he definitely knows something...You can pretty much take it to the bank...

David Caldwell, Falcons Director Of Player Personnel... http://www.atlantafalcons.com/team/staff/David-Caldwell/45a2f524-d9cd-4a73-8926-119c585e9e86

Yawn...

That's why Caldwell is SO intriguing to me...He actually has a legit reason to WANT to come to Buffalo other than being grossly overpaid...

No offense, but this is a pretty ridiculous statement... There are only 32 NFL Head Coaching jobs...It's the absolute pinnacle of the Football Coaching Profession...There may be 8-10 of those 32 jobs available...Of all the great up-and-coming Coaches both in the NFL and College Football, you're trying to tell me that all The Bills can do is Chan 2.0? No way...They can do as good as anybody else, they only need to identify the right candidate and hire him... Just because The Bills have bundled these types of moves in the past does not mean that history needs to repeat itself...I'm quite sure there are PLENTY of over-qualified HC's, and GM prospects for that matter, who would come to Buffalo gladly...Now, maybe 25% of those candidates will actually workout and turn this Team around...It's certainly not a given...But to assume there may be nothing better than Chan and Buddy out there available to this Buffalo Bills Franchise is just ridiculous...It's inaccurate and defeatist...It's loser mentality...

I don't know...He's not good enough...Never has been, and never will be...So what's the point?...I'd rather go with a Rookie in a scaled back Offense and let him take his lumps for a year to learn...I just don't see the upside in bringing Fitz back unless he is the unquestioned back-up with a re-done contract...Just my opinion...

Don Banks - great quote about Nix and why he should go

I wonder...Do we have a desperate GM, an incompetent GM...Or both? -
Maybe...But Schwartz has 3 years remaining on his deal...And I'm sure McKenzie and Allen have at least a couple...They were only hired a year ago...Not sure either Team wants to eat that kind of cash...
-
Agreed...I get the same feeling, and he can do Buddy a solid by simply stepping down... Oakland came out a couple days ago and said the HC and McKenzie were safe for another year... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000115079/article/report-raiders-to-keep-allen-mckenzie-eye-anderson Schefter says Schwartz is safe for 2013... http://profootballzone.com/nfl/report-jim-schwartzs-job-is-safe-in-detroit/

Kyle Shanahan and Geno Smith = The perfect combo

I hear what you're saying...But if it is (in fact) a bridge to the new Organization, which Jim is to be a big part of from all accounts, it was going to happen anyway...So...It is what it is...

Kyle Shanahan and Geno Smith = The perfect combo

I understand that...Not sure how this whole thing got turned into the notion that I was knocking RGIII or his abilities...I was simply trying to point out that, IMHO, Geno Smith may very well be more prepared for the NFL passing game than RGII was...And it's a bit of a splitting hairs comment...It was not meant to infer that RGIII was not prepared, just that Smith may be more prepared coming out...No question RGIII was very prepared...But he also has incredible running ability that makes him even more deadly...Again I'm not trying to compare to what RGIII is now...But what he was coming out...And he was damn good coming out...Which to me means Geno could be damn good too in time...And heck maybe I am wrong...We'll see... -

I love RGIII...I really do...And maybe I should have worded my statement better...But I do think that, as a pure passer, Geno comes into the NFL more prepared than RGIII...Now...RGIII is so good in that Offense, which is designed around his abilities, no question he's already proven how successful he can be...But there was questions about how his Game would translate...Whatever he had to overcome he did so quite well...And I think Geno will do the same...Could be wrong though... The other point about NFL readiness comes from my belief that a player like RGIII, who runs THAT much, is on borrowed time...He's going to get hurt faster...Whereas a player like Geno who is athletic in his own way, but is more of a Pass first guy, can stay healthier long term...Who knows though...I understand the level of player that RGIII is...He's fantastic...I just think Geno is being undersold a bit for a guy who will go #1 overall in April... You're wrong...I totally got that action figure... Seriously? You have a MAJOR reading comprehension problem...I don't know what to tell you if you think I was knocking RGIII...I was not...Whatsoever... Here's just one article about Geno...There are more...http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/page/football-121003Maisel/west-virginia-mountaineers-quarterback-geno-smith-focus-solely-football -
Kyle Shanahan and Geno Smith = The perfect combo

By me...And if that's not good enough for you I could really give...He's a Pass 1st College QB who has thrown a million balls at WVU... So you think Baylor's Offense is more closely linked to NFL Offenses than WVU's? You think RGIII is a better passer than Geno? He's a better runner, no question, but that may also result in him getting hurt more often, which was the basis of my borderline ridiculous statement... Who the f*** said RGIII was not dedicated to Football? I love RGIII...He's a great kid and super dedicated...The statement was a about Geno and it's 100% true...just read up a little on the kid and you'll learn that...I'm not trying to say Geno is the next RGIII because they are different animals...I am trying to say anyone doubting Geno's abilities as they project to NFL is going to be surprised... -

True...And I'm guessing that's a negative? Geno is MUCH more of a Pass 1st QB...And granted he does not have RGIII's sick athletic ability...But Geno is plenty athletic...It could be argued that Geno is more NFL ready than RGIII, and that his playing style will help him stay healthy longer...Smith is also super dedicated to football... Too bad he's going #1 overall...I'd give anything to see Geno in Buffalo... -
Seriously? I mean...Really?

Gailey's Stubborness - "Fitz Gives Us Best Chance"
KOKBILLS replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed...Based on their careers so far it's tough for anyone to come to the conclusion that Jackson would be worse...And at some point you would think they would be curious themselves...But more than anything this reeks of Gailey and Nix going down with the ship they built...
