  1. Ignorant comment? What not PC enough for ya Bro? This is a Football message board not a political campaign...And if you think NFL teams don't care if he's gay or not (and I'm definitely not saying he is) you have to be the most naive member in this boards history...You seriously think an NFL team does not care about that? Don't get so offended...And don't play PC cop around here...Thin skin has no place on TBD...You'll drive yourself insane...Just saying...
  2. Are you talking about Dion Jordan? You might want to go back and look at the tape...He dropped a ton in College...Charles Davis commented the other day during the Combine that the reason Jordan's Sack numbers were down was due to the fact that they dropped him a ton at Oregon...Even against WR's at times...He's one of the most fluid drop OLB's, if not the most fluid, in this entire Draft...Yes he projects best to OLB in a 3-4 due to his size and big-time upside as a pass rusher...But teams have ZERO concern about his ability to drop...In fact he may very well be viewed as an answer in coverage to these great young TE's teams are utilizing nowadays...He's got the size-speed-athleticism...etc...But Jordan can, and did, drop in coverage at Oregon...No doubt about it...
  3. I think the Bills will look to upgrade from Dickerson...But I agree about Smith...He's definitely not a bad blocking TE, and he can catch a few too...It's hard to say the depth is bad with Smith...Still need at least one TE to contribute though...
  4. I disagree...Reed was also pretty darn good at getting production out of QB's not Drafted in the 1st Round...He obviously likes Smith and feels comfortable bringing him in to run his version of the West Coast...I don't see that as being a knock on this QB class whatsoever...We all know there is no Andrew Luck in this Draft...But saying the Bills should stay away from a QB in the 1st two Rounds is ridiculous...There is plenty of QB talent worthy of a 2nd Round Pick in this Draft... And lastly...Who the fug really cares what Andy Reed may or may not think about this QB class? It matters more what Marrone and Hackett think...It's not like Andy Reed has a line of Pro Bowl QB's a mile long in his recent past...He's good with QB's, don't get me wrong...But I would not call him a guru...He's more of a Buddha...
  5. This is true...That happened to be an extraordinarily bad Draft...Though most would be surprised at the average percentages after 5 years or so...They are pretty low...Especially after you get out of the 2nd Round...I read not to long ago that something like 6% of 3rd Round Draft Picks end up being Starters in the NFL for 5 or more seasons...That's crazy low...And the reason I crack up when I read any Mock Draft evaluation that projects these great later Round finds to be starting material...It's really, really rare when that actually happens...
  6. Smith to KC was confirmed today... Right...Well...It's a good question...Of course the rumor mill has Az preferring Barkley to Smith...Would that not be a crazy scenario? Az takes a QB, and it's NOT Geno...That would be awesome drama...
  7. RB...FS (assuming Byrd is back of course)...That's all I've got...
  8. Matt Ryan is a Top 10 NFL QB for sure...He's probably just behind Rodgers, Brees, Brady, and P Manning... Top 10? Here's mine for 2013... Rodgers, Brees, Brady, P Manning, Ryan, RGII, E Manning, Flacco, Luck, and Kaepernick (just barely overBig Ben, Cam Newton, and Russell Wilson)... That was actually tougher than I thought it would be...The influx of young, talented QB's is very evident...Here they come!
  9. I think that is...more or less...a product of the letdown from the top rated QB's in the past two Draft...While some Scouts do not rate Geno as a Top 10 Prospect, I have to say that I cannot think of a single analyst, ex GM, or ex Scout on the NFL Network this past week that does not have Geno the #1 Rated QB in this Draft...Some even commented that there was a wide gap between Geno and the #2 QB, who most believe is still Barkley...Tools-wise, and production-wise in College, Smith clearly has a lot of upside... So while I definitely do agree that he does not have the buzz of Cam, RGII, or Luck...He's still pretty well thought of overall...And I don't think anyone would blink for a second if the Bills took him at #8 overall...
  10. Last night on NFL Network Charley Casserly said some teams have Fisher rated ahead of Joeckel...He said Fisher had a better workout, and is more of a "move the pile" type-OT than Joeckel is...He thinks Fisher may go as high as #3 overall...
  11. After looking at the Mock a bit more it's actually not great...But I like any Mock that has the Bills getting Geno... I too think Joeckel will end up going to KC... I think there is a good chance Milliner will end up in the top 5... I think Werner is solid but unspectacular, and teams will struggle with Drafting him in the Top 10... I think Fisher and Lane Johnson join Joekel in the Top 10...Fisher likely Top 5... I think Sharrif Floyd, not Star Lotulelei will be the 1st DT taken...And I think Scouts have always seen it that way...Not sure why so many assumed Lotulelei was the #1 DT... I think Dion Jordan is a sure fire Top 10 pick, and Mingo is not... There are a ton of folks who are comparing Cordarelle Patterson to Julio Jones all of a sudden...I'm not saying I agree...But I am saying that kind of buzz could easily land him in the Top 10... I can't see how Chance Warmack does not go higher than #9...That is of course if it's really true that many Scouts consider him the highest rated player in this Draft...I know he's an OG...But he's really highly thought of... I think somehow, someway, the Top 10 should come from these 12 players...Joeckel, Milliner, Fisher, Floyd, Warmack, Jordan, Geno, Johnson, Patterson, Jarvis Jones, Werner, and Ziggy Ansah... We'll see soon enough...
  12. And...
  13. Wow! I agree with just about everything...Great job! A few things... The only way The Bills can get a pick for Levitre would be to tag him I believe...There are no sign and trades in the NFL due to the signing bonuses mainly...And I love, love, love the idea of trying to get something for KW now...Never thought of it to be honest...And I absolutely love that idea... I also agree with the Draft strategy...Take Geno at #8 if he's there...Try to move back and collect picks otherwise...If the Bills don't get Geno the only QB I really like after him is EJ Manual as a developmental prospect...I also thin Bray has huge upside, but I'm worried that he's Cutler times 100 between the ears...And I want none of that... I do believe Levitre will give the Bills a bit of a Home Town discount to come back...Just unsure whether or not it will be enough... I don't think the Bills will have enough cash for all the UFA's you listed...But they would all be good additions...I think Landry is going to be their main target because he wont break the bank...And they almost have to sign at least one Vet WR and LB...I'm just not sure how much they'll be able to afford after Byrd get his... Definitely don't want VY back again...I'd rather Draft 2 Rookies and let them develop under Marrone and Hackett...Manuel early and someone with upside late... Overall though I like your thinking on this...I already have more confidence in you than I do in Buddy...But to be perfectly honest that's not really saying much...
  14. Honestly...At this point at least...I would say the problem with this team can be summed up in two words...Buddy Nix... Nix hired Gailey...He believed in Fitz...He reigned over a Scouting Department that not only made many poor evaluations on the players they took, but also under-valued a slew of Pro-Bowl caliber players...Some of those Pro Bowl caliber players were QB's who could have almost instantly given this Franchise hope (at the very least)...Nix proved from his very first Draft pick as GM that he was deficient at the team building concept...He continues to throw out quotes and anecdotes that are false when researched...He's in WAY, way over his head...Unfortunately for Bills fans, Ralph and Russ greatly overestimate Nix's abilities as a GM...Heck, even if he was a great scout at one time I think those abilities have to be questioned when you're 100% in charge of a Football operation that values Aaron Williams as a prospect over Kaepernick and Dalton, or TJ Graham as a bigger need for the team than Russell Wilson... Want to know why the Bills are where they are? It all starts with Buddy...The good ol' scout...
  15. He just got a little carried away... Still...No question this Roster built by Nix is an absolute mess at this point...Not that it can't be turned around, even turned around quickly...But it's a freaking mess in way too many areas...
  16. Ahhh...It's all good...Somebody has to go down with the ship...
  17. Right there with you Bro!!! We'll have to plan something right here!!! I'll keep some booze on ice...
  18. Seriously? You have got to be freaking kidding!!! I'm thinking NFL Football might not be your thing... Just saying...
  19. Exactly...If I was not shocked or surprised, I'm pretty sure most scouts and GM's weren't either...
  20. Disturbing analogy...Talk about painting a picture!!! But well said nonetheless...
  21. I do agree with you...But in defense of those calling AW a bust...He has been exceptionally bad in comparison...I mean...He has got toasted more than a box of pop tarts...
  22. The simple answer to the question you seem to be posting is that Fitz is a QB...And I'm quite sure you understand the scrutiny that is attached to that position in comparison to others...QB is king and everyone knows it... I do find it interesting that you see Fitz as this guys who scores points regularly despite the fact that he's overcoming this terrible lack of talent...When in reality Fitz is a proven turnover machine with the most turnovers (INT's and fumbles lost) of ANY NFL QB over the past three years combined...Fitz turns the ball over at a clip of 1.5 times per game...You can't hide that, nor can you make excuses for it...He's #1...Period... Your assessment of the Bills O-Line as it is now is just off...Do the Bills have the best o-Line in the league?...No they do not...Is it light years better than it was 5 years ago? You bet it is...I've seen Fitz have plenty of time to throw over and over again only to throw the ball off target, or chuck and duck at the last possible moment...He cannot extend a play to save his life...He a decent straight ahead runner but his pocket presence and ability to slide in order to get a completion is terrible...His accuracy plummets when he's asked to anything besides take the exact proper drop and get the ball off on time perfectly...He's the polar opposite of the-type QB that excels in today's NFL...Even tall, lanky, and much slower QB's like Brady and Flacco are 100 times better at extending plays and making something out of nothing than Fitz is...Don't even mention the QB's like Brees, Big Ben and Rodgers who are the best at extending plays in and out of the pocket...It's like they are in a completely different league than Fitz... I also think you're selling Chandler WAY short... But this gets back to the same thing some of us have been trying to explain for a while around here...The Bills have needs all over this Team...That does not excuse Fitz whatsoever...The two, or three, or four things can and have coexisted on this team for some time now...Just because folks don't complain as much about the other shortcomings on this team does not make Fitz any better...And to some of us, Fitz was never good enough, and we warned Bills fans like you of that exact fact 3 years ago...So sure we're tougher on Fitz because we knew he was not good enough then, and all he did to change our minds was have a decent 6 game stretch at the beginning of 2011...That stretch was surrounded by the fact that Fitz , once again, lead the entire NFL in the past 3 years combined in turning the ball over...So darn right we're going to be more critical of Fitz...It's a QB's league...We've watched the Bills pass on young QB's who are light years better than Fitz already, just because the Bills Coaching Staff and Front Office believed Fitz was the answer at QB...Something many of us never believed...Ever...So yes!...Absolutely we're tired of Fitz...And no question he takes the brunt of the blame...He should...He's a QB who lacks the physical skills to be a consistent winner in this league...He's now had 5 NFL seasons in which he has started at least 8 games...And his best record in those 5 Seasons is 4-4...And that was in 2009... The guy is now 23-44-1 as a starter in the NFL without a single season over .500...Is it all his fault? Of course not...But the evidence is pretty clear Fitz is what he is...The sample is more than big enough to make proper evaluations on Fitz...And the final evaluation should be he's not good enough... And even if it's 100% unscientific, why in God's name would any team want to place their Franchise in the hands of a QB with the foul stench of losing and turning the ball over on him that Fitz has? Why? Move on...Cut your ties and move on from that guy...He was never good enough, he's not good enough now, and he'll never be good enough...So why bother?... Anyway...
