I just keep thinking about that WGR interview earlier this year...I think it was right before the Seattle Game...But anyway...Buddy Nix basically said they liked Wilson a lot, and that his height was not an issue...Not an issue for the Bills that is...Knowing this, and granted knowing what we have seen from Wilson, if you liked the kid and had no problem with the height issue?...TJ Graham? Really? T...J...Graham?...It was the 3rd Round...Are you kidding me?... Agreed...100%...

What should the Bills do at #8?

I agree...But the problem is Kaepernick and Wilson are rare dudes...And we had our shot at both of them...I just don't see anyone in this Draft that mirrors those skills and smarts...Maybe in 2014 with Bridgewater...Or 2015 with Manziel... -
Bleacher Report: Value free agents for Bills

Josh Cribbs? Why? He can't even become the top WR for the freaking Browns? He is a good returner though... -
Have you actually watch Kline throw it? He needs a TON of work in that area...He's not a natural passer...He makes it look awkward at times...If you're talking about a 5th Round, or later, developmental prospect...I can see it...But I'm not a big Kline guy right now... And I don't think it's a coincidence that just about every NFL Team disagrees with Skip Bayless where Tebow is concerned...But that's probably more about Bayless than it is about Tebow... I remember Charles Davis on the NFL Network saying that once he got into the NFL and learned a system, Kaepernick would be the best QB from that Draft...I did not think about it much at the time...Now I can't forget it...

I think Kaepernick and Cam Newton are completely different animals, albeit with similar skill-sets, than Wilson and RGIII...Newton is a HUGE dude at 6-5-245...He's a small DE size-wise...Newton is bigger than most of the open field tacklers he faces...And Kaepernick is 6-5-230...Newton and Kaepernick are rare in that they can take a bit of the pounding that would easily knock a QB like RGIII, or Wilson loopy...So even though I agree it puts your starting QB at higher risk, if it's a QB with size like those two, and they play smart, they can stay healthy...

Alex Smith might be easier to get than expected

Jackson is a UFA...And Fitz sucks...So...There you go... -
I think EJ Manuel would be the closest thing to a Newton/Kaepernick-type in the 2013 Draft...Not saying he'll ever be that good, but from a skill-set standpoint Manuel may fit the mold a bit...Manuel ran the ball 10 times or more in 5 different games his Sr. season (102 yds vs Clemson)...Another is Logan Thomas if comes out...But IMHO Thomas is just...Not very good...He needs a TON of work and should stay in school...Collin Kline is a great running QB who actually looks uncomfortable throwing the ball at times...Zac Dysert can run it a little too... So anyway...From a legit prospect standpoint I'd say it's Manuel, maybe Dysert, and not much more in this coming Draft if you are looking for a QB that can run it effectively...

Agreed John...And well said...QB has to be the priority...Like I wrote before, I'm hoping they can trade down a bit from #8 and still land the QB of their choice not named Geno Smith...And if by some miracle Smith is there at #8, grab him... And to answer your question about Miami's QB I would think that Smith and Tyler Wilson would be considered every bit the prospect Tannehill was...I personally think a few QB's in this Draft could post a 76 QB rating in their Rookie year given the right situation...The Bills situation is not bad, with the O-Line, Spiller, Stevie, a healthy David Nelson, and Freddie...So... -
David Lee to be Jets QB Coach? (now official)

Is that even possible at this point? Can he get worse? -

Agreed...If The Bills were to trade down and grab an extra pick or two, I could live with taking a QB like Nassib in the 1st...But at #8? That's too high for Nassib IMHO...Just too high... -

Exactly!!! It's one thing to do it...But it's clearly another to not only do it...but also to get away with it, while still being called one of the best Football minds in the NFL by the guy running your team... -

The more I look in to Nassib the more I find that there is a massive gap in the way folks are viewing him...Just for the heck of it yesterday I Googled "2013 NFL Draft Top 100." I specifically wanted to see where Nassib was being projected currently...I saw anywhere from the 30's to some big boards leaving him off their Top 100!!! That's a serious gap!!! A couple things...First and foremost Nassib is listed at 6-2 and if he measures under that it's not going to help his Draft stock... This Scouting Report on Nassib would lead anyone to believe he's got huge potential...But I have no idea who wrote it...I do know he was rated #52 overall on the big board that linked this report...http://www.buffalobi...couting-report/ From the film that I have watched on Nassib, and the two games I saw him play live (on tv...Lousiville and West Virginia), I came away impressed...Not blown away by any means...But impressed...I'm impressed by his consistency...Not necessarily his accuracy all the time...But his consistency...Nassib's LOWEST QB rating for an individual game in 2012 was 107.1 vs. Pittsburgh...Looking at his 2012 spilts is very interesting...He was a MUCH better QB in the 2nd half of Games when compared to the 1st half (+12.3 higher completions, +41 QB Rating, and 14 more TD's in the 2nd half of games)...I REALLY like that about him...It tells me he reacts well to in-game adjustments, and he's a gamer...He's playing better when the game is on the line...I don't think that stat can be attributed too heavily to stat padding late either because Syracuse lost it's 5 games by an average of a TD and a 2-point conversion...They only lost 2 games by more than 10 points...Anyway...Just some food for thought... The more I look at Nassib the more I like him...I do wish he was a couple inches taller, and I also wish his completion % was over 65 (it was 62.4 in 2011 and 2012), but you can't have everything...The fact that he may be teamed up with his College Coaches back in Buffalo would certainly be a big reason for The Bills to consider him...I've watched a TON of QB film from most of the top prospects already...And I plan on watching a ton more...Honestly, I can't exactly put my finger on why just yet, but I like Nassib more than any other QB I've seen outside of Geno Smith, and Tyler Wilson...And in my mind right now he's about even with Tyler Wilson...I think Nassib is a better NFL prospect than Ponder and Locker for sure...Maybe just as good as Dalton...Definitely more NFL ready than Kaepernick (though Kaepernick is clearly the superior athlete), or Ryan Tannehill (again Tannehill is the better athlete)...Now before anyone jumps to anything, I'm not saying Nassib is a better prospect than Kaepernick was, just much more NFL ready is all... So it makes me wonder...How high can Nassib go if he measures out at + 6-2, and has a great 3 months of workouts??? It's a big time mystery right now... -

I think if we get to Draft Day and we see The Bills Trade down once, or even twice, then secure a QB with their 1st Pick...Only then will I believe Buddy is no longer in charge...Because I believe strongly there is no way in Hades Buddy would ever Trade down in the 1st Round...Ever... -
Makes sense, though I'm not sure Banks should be quite that high...Still, it's hard for me to see Milliner getting to The Bills at #8...And I do think Banks, or Xavier Rhodes, will be in play due to our new DC...And the fact that the CB position opposite Gilmore was a complete and total train-wreck in 2012...But I think they are better options with a slight Trade Down...
-
Mocks are...well...Mocks...The Draft advisory board has better information than any Mock Draft out there...I doubt very, very much that Lacey gets out of the early 2nd Round area...We'll see though...
-
I'm not saying I know anything more than any one else...But based on what I do know about the guy, I think Pettine will be pushing hard for Milliner...Not saying he'll get his way...But he'll still be asking for it...A lot... I think it should also be pointed out that Milliner is the top CB prospect in this Draft, and it's VERY likely he will be gone in the first 7 Picks...

I hear you...Just wish he would have learned those lessons BEFORE he actually became a GM... And I don't want Buddy trading up either...I'm not a big trade up guy...I mean...I can see it when there is a Luck, Newton, or RGIII-type QB available to be had...But otherwise I'd MUCH rather trade down...Of course you still have to pick the right guys...But you get more chances!!! -

Agreed...Some teams understand how you can make the Draft work for you...Others with Good-ol' boy-ex-scout-GM's who are forever locked in the past...not-so-much...I guess it takes too much thinkin'... I would LOVE to see the Bills lock in on the QB of their choice (assuming Geno Smith is gone), Trade down a couple spots, pick up a Draft Pick or two, then take the QB in the 1st...It is a bit riskier when a QB is your target...But I think if it's a kid like Nassib you covet, it may be a safer bet...We'll see...If Buddy is still in charge we can forget about a Trade Down...It's not gonna happen... -
Kinda doubt Lacey would come out if the Draft advisory board told him he was only going to be a 3rd or 4th Round Pick... I agree on Milliner though...If The Bills don't go QB at #8 he's definitely going to be a possibility...I think our new DC will push hard for him...
