This ^^^ The weekend Draft was great!!! This Prime Time Schedule ruined it for me and my buddies a bit...Don't get me wrong...Still love watching the Draft...But before, especially Draft Saturday...It was always an event for my die-hard friends and I...Now...Get together for the first night when everyone has to work in the morning? Whatever...They killed it...

Oh good grief!!! 16 picks were traded in the 1st Round of the 2012 NFL Draft...This idea that is SO impossible to find that mysterious trade partner is laughable...The Rookie wage scale has changed everything...There will be plenty of opportunities for the Bills to trade down if they wish to do it...

At the end of "Path To The Draft" today Charley Casserly said he's hearing the Bills like Barkley or Glennon in the 2nd... Just thought I'd pass it on...

Well...Buddy did say there are at least 3 QB's that The Bills see as quality starting prospects...So we know already they believe in at least 3...He also said this QB class is much better than folks are giving it credit for...I think it's safe to say The Bills are not sold on just one guy...At least that's the way I feel after listening to the Luncheon Presser...

I like Manuel...And I don't think he's half the prospect Johnny Football is... I understand concerning Manziel...But he would have to really fall off if that is going to be the case...As it stands now all he has to do is stay the same and he's going to be just fine... I just think, at this point...From the evidence we have so far...The kid is a sure fire Top 5 pick in whatever Draft he ends up in...He's really young...He could get bigger...He will get stronger...And he should get better... Heck anything can happen...But I see Manziel on the Andrew Luck path...He's the next coming at this point...I think he's driven to be the best...even a little cocky...I would not bet a plug nickle against the kid...But we'll see I guess... When folks are looking at Manuel they are looking at the total athletic package he brings...Which is very good, and that part can't be argued...The projection with Manuel comes in the differences between what he was asked to do at FSU, and what he'll be asked to do in the NFL...Some, like me, feel he could excel in the right Offense, with the right Coaching...I have no doubts whatsoever that if a Coach like Jim Harbaugh gets a hold of Manuel he's going to find a good NFL QB in there...And I'm assuming the Bills new Coaching staff can get that done too (though admittedly that's just hope)...I don't have any doubt though that if Manuel lands in the wrong spot he'll struggle with consistency and accuracy throughout his career...But like Mike Mayock said, if I'm going to gamble, I'm going to gamble on the 6-5 kid who's smart, runs a 4.6, and has real arm-talent...If you're solely going off his FSU career than I can understand folks not liking Manuel...He's a projection, and I admit it's a risky one... At this point I don't see any of the same risks in Manziel whatsoever...I just think that kid is fantastic...

I find these anti-Manziel comments kind of laughable...A Red-Shirt Frosh who completed 68% of his passes...in the SEC mind you...threw for 3700 yds in 13 games, averaged 33 passing attempts per game, and won the Heisman...But his best attribute is scrambling? Scrambling is certainly a part of his game...But his best attribute is he's a hell of a good QB... I swear some of Y'all would not know a great QB if he hit you in the head with a 90 yard pass through a forest of trees... I would not bet much on it... Exactly correct...Manziel may fall off from this point on...But there is ZERO evidence to support such a theory so far...

I think it matters not... Milliner will go before #8... And for that matter Nassib will go before #41...So...IMHO, and no offense to the OP, this thread is basically a pipe dream...

I was just thinking the same thing... Can the Bills now say they had a successful off season because Revis and Welker are out of the Division?...

I know value-chart-wise this is close...But it's just not enough to trade down that far...I would then ask the Niners to include a 2014 pick...Maybe a 2nd Rounder to make a trade like this happen... Like I've said in previous thread the risk of trading down, especially this far, comes down to two main factors...Does Geno (or any other QB's for that matter) go from 1-7, and how many QB's do the Bills have with similar 1st Round Grades on their board?...If a QB (likely Geno) goes from 1-7, the risk is immediately too high IMHO...But if not, and you have say...Smith, Nassib, Manuel, and Barkley all graded about the same in the later 1st-early 2nd area, then it's worth serious consideration... Still..I want more to trade down that far...If you're the team coming up 23 spots in the Draft you have to give more, not less, than the value chart...Usually that's done with a high pick from the next Draft...That's what I would want along with the picks you included to get a deal like this done...

I have loads of respect for Mayock...But no one is perfect, and he's WAY to close to that Notre Dame program to be considered unbiased in grading Te'o... I'm not a big Te'o guy...I do think he will be serviceable...And it's just my opinion...But I would not Draft him in the 1st or 2nd...I think his value is in the 3rd and later...Maybe he'll prove me wrong... That's more like it...

We better!!! That's no where near good enough...Value chart or not... Maybe 23, 52, and 83...Or 23, 52, and the Vikes 2nd Round Pick in 2014...Maybe even 23, 52, 102, and 120... But it HAS to be more than 23, and 52...That's just not enough...

OK...That's good... I still think the chances of The Jets taking a QB in the 1st are slim and none...But like I said, I could be wrong...People say a lot of things at this time of year...But common sense usually wins out... I did say usually...

Agreed... How has Joe Thomas (6 time Pro Bowler, 3 time 1st Team All Pro, 2 time 2nd Team All Pro) done? Greatly impacted all that winning in Cleveland right?... Without a top QB the Bills will continue to be nothing...Period...End of story...

The bolded is a REAL interesting take...I love Mike Mayock...Respect the hell out of the guy...But I have openly accused him of doing this exact thing...Unlike many TV Scouts Mayock is in really good with a boatload of GM's...When he hears a name enough, suddenly that guy skyrockets up his board late in the process...It's exactly what he did with Chandler Jones last year...And Mayock is closer to Belichick than he is with any other GM... So anyway...Agreed...

With all due respect...You could not possibly be more wrong...They asked him to do everything including cover slot WR's at times...His stat sheet was what it was due to how they used him at Oregon...Period...

Well...I'm an admitted Manuel guy...I would give that 3 Round Mock and A+++...I would LOVE to get Manuel and Woods... I could certainly be wrong...But I think the chances of the Jets taking a QB at #9 are slim and none...And Slim just left town...

I really, really doubt Jordan will drop to #8...But I have to say...He is the one single prospect that I would be willing to re-consider my QB in Round #1 obsession for...I think the kid is going to be a major player...The difference with Jordan and the long list of hybrids that have come out in recent years is that Jordan really isn't a hybrid...He only looks like one...He's a legit OLB who could play in any Defense...He's got tons of experience dropping in coverage and he did it pretty well too...Then add to all that he's just a freak athlete with MUCH better football instincts and technique than say Ansah, or Mingo... I like Jordan a lot...And I would be thrilled if somehow he landed in Buffalo...

Agreed...I doubt very much Pugh gets out of the 2nd Round...Some Scouts are really, really high on him...

It all depends on how the Bills rate the QB's...For example...Lets say they have Geno, Manuel, and Nassib rated FAR ahead of the other QB's...They get to #8 and all 3 are still available...The chance that all 3 go before pick #23, especially in this Draft, are very, very slim... On the other hand...Lets say the Bills have Nassib rated higher than any other QB...And Geno goes in the Top 7 picks...If the Bills want Nassib they better take him at #8 or they're probably going to lose him in a trade down to #23... So...There are a lot of variables here...I think, IF the Bills were to trade down that far, Bills fans can rest assured that they have at least a couple QB's they feel will be available at #23...Because if it's really just one guy they're after...the trade down, at least that far, is too risky...

It would take Minnesota's #23, their #52, and something more to get it done...Maybe a 2nd next year? But I'd be all for it...I think #23 is the perfect area to take a QB in this Draft, and all but Geno will likely be there... I think maybe, and I have no idea really...but just maybe, with the loss of Harvin and what he did for that Offense and ST's, Austin would be the Vikings main target...Remember Austin is a very good Kick Return guy as well...And when healthy Harvin averaged over 35 yds per Kick Return in 2012...Austin would seemingly be a perfect match for what the Vikes lost in Harvin...And no way Austin lasts till #23...
