  1. This stream sucks...I've got a top of the line gaming rig...Extreme cable internet speed...I stream stuff all the time...This thing...whatever it is...is crashing my graphics driver constantly...Stuttering...Constantly re-setting... I thought the NFL ticket was EVERY NFL game?... This is a joke...It just hard locked/black screened my rig and forced a re-start... It's working better on my laptop...No full screen though...
  2. No surprise I guess... It will be interesting to see, assuming they stay healthy enough, if this Defense starts clicking as the year goes on...I think it is understandable to have some scheme-related growing pains...But it can't last too much longer...
  3. I'm FAR from believing EJ can reach Dalton status...Especially 2015 Dalton...But unquestionably this is something the Bills failed at miserably with Manuel...We may never really know how much of his inconsistencies are due to mishandling...But I'm pretty certain it's a fairly significant factor...That was a 1st round pick at QB...It could have been handled better for sure...
  4. It is interesting to me how Schwartz was able to take Pettine's guys and improve the D...especially the run D...Then Rex takes the same guys (basically), installs a similar system to Pettine's, and once again is getting mixed results...Maybe the schemes are too confusing for the players...Maybe they do leave no margin for error...But I certainly think there is a chance that complex or not, after all these years of seeing it, teams know how to attack Rex/Pettine's Defenses with more precision...Especially teams with good QB's...So I think it's a combination of things...
  5. Starting to look like it's just another bad-luck year for the Bills... I think it's fitting that this game is in England because the Bills Offense is looking more and more like an NFL Europe roster...
  6. Right...That's all it is...I think it's the formation before the shift that does them in...The red-zone match-up nightmare TE shifts out and it's already all-but over...
  7. Saw NE use an almost identical play earlier this year to get Gronk a TD...
  8. That's just about ALL LeBatard and his buddy do is wild speculation...To their credit though they are usually very honest about that fact...
  9. Probably too early to tell...But it's not like it's looking good either...
  10. "Well, it seems like Rex Ryan is suddenly determined to put square pegs into round holes by putting his scheme over talent, at least he was Sunday. We know that the Bills have four dominant defensive linemen who fit best in an attacking 4-3 scheme. However, Ryan has mostly been a 3-4 guy as a head coach. His father, Buddy Ryan, utilized the 4-6 zone, which might as well be a sister to the 3-4, as defensive coordinator of 1985 Bears to lead that team to a Super Bowl win. People were interested in seeing how well he would mesh his philosophy with the skill sets of the highest paid guys on his roster. Well, results are in and it ain't pretty." Bingo...And I have to say this was the one single thing I feared most about Rex...I was afraid he would not be willing to leave well enough alone when it came to this Defense...His ego would not allow it...And...so far at least...that appears to be the case...
  11. Well... I'm 100% for at least pursuing it... Being an NC resident for 21 of the past 26 years, 20 of those years in Charlotte...I'm well aware of what Smith brings...Even at this age, and in his last year, I'm a pretty big fan...
  12. I agree... I honestly think we're going to need a Defensive score, or two, in order to win this one... I really don't like our chances much...I think this team is banged up bad...physically and mentally...It's just a bad vibe I'm getting overall...Certainly hope I'm wrong... Yep...
  13. Well...Figures...Does it not? Just our luck...Have to say I was really encouraged with the Watkins, Woods, Harvin top 3...Now it's Woods, Hogan, and maybe Easley this weekend? Or Denarious Moore? Good grief this Franchise is so snake-bit...It would actually be funny if it was not so sad...We obviously angered the Football Gods at some point years ago...And they don't seen to be the forgiving type...
  14. I'm not saying this to be a debbie-downer...I'm really not...But I think the Playoffs are already all but impossible...Too many key injuries, and it's only Week 7... I would love to be an optimist...I really would...But I don't see it...If the Defense was playing out-of-their-minds-good at this point I could definitely hold out hope...But it's not...And I think Rex's system is just a bad fit for the personnel on the D side...I honestly don't give them any better than a 50/50 shot to beat the Jags Sunday...They are SO banged up right now on Offense it's almost laughable if it was not so depressing...And if they lose that game, I think they're done...I know that sounds ridiculous with 9 games remaining...But 3-4, and 1-3 at Home, with the stretch coming up after the Fish Home game that will see the Bills play 5 of 6 on the Road including at the Jets and Pats...The only way they have even an outside chance at a Playoff spot is to hit that stretch at 5-3...And even then it will be tough for them to come out of that stretch better than 8-6...This team, as it is currently, is not beating the Jets at NY, and definitely not beating the Pats in NE...The Redskins are tough on Defense, the Eagles are getting better, and it's never exactly easy to win at KC...Even if they do come out of that stretch at 8-6 they still have to beat the Jets at home and a Cowboys team that will have Romo and Dez back in order to get to 10-6...I just don't see it...Not the way this team is playing now... Sure the Bills can get better...I'm 100% sure they will get healthier eventually because how can it get much worse? But I just don't hold out much hope for this team, this year...I know a lot of people are optimistic about the AFC currently, and being 3-3 right now...I look at it more like they should be 2-4 if it was not for a super conservative HC in Tennessee who basically gave us the game by not being more aggressive early on when they had the Bills D on the ropes...The Bills are just not very good right now...and the surprise to me is the Defense...I don't care how good the Offenses are that have carved them up...If you build a team around a Defense and they can't stop good Offenses at Home I don't think there is much hope...I really don't... I feel like I've seen this movie before and I'm all out of optimism...
  15. Well sure...But I wonder how this is going to effect NFL rosters in the future?...I have zero problem with them landing on the side of caution...It's good all around...Just wondering if something will need to be done to expand rosters if it proves to be a significant amount of time missed...
  16. That's brand new information!!!
  17. Well...To be fair it's not like there were a lot of positives from that game to discuss...
  18. This was driving me nuts while watching yesterday...And they were constantly standing up...Especially in the 2nd half and on 3rd downs (from what I could tell anyway)...It just seemed so out-of-synch and bizarre...
  19. Well... Pretty sure Jones (OSU) and Goff (Cal) are on pace to go top 5 this year...Even if they are not necessarily top 5 prospects...They are QB's after all...and both have decent upside... Cook (MSU) should also be a 1st round pick... So why wait?... These injuries keep piling up and the tank will come like it or not...
  20. I think 99.9% of Bills fans agree with what you're trying to say...And it's been said a million and a half times here, on WGR...everywhere...Even Whaley admitted they are in QB purgatory...Maybe he could have done more...But the fact remains it's almost as effective to be blindly lucky looking for a Franchise QB (see Tom Brady) in the NFL as it is to be diligent...It's easier said than done...
  21. Well...He's had 4 NFL starts...4...A game and a half without Sammy...A game without BOTH top RB's...Behind an average O-line... He's completed 70% of his passes...9 TD's to 4 INT's...187 yards rushing with two additional TD's...Plus he's had a passing and a rushing TD called back on VERY questionable penalties...He's 6th in the league in QB rating, 11th in total QBR, and 8th in yards per attempt... Compared to what we've had here over the past...well whatever...I think he's done pretty damned good...And common sense says he'll improve simply because he's played SO little...
  22. It depends on whether or not alternate reality is being taken into consideration...
  23. Almost assuredly at this point right?
