  1. I think SD is a very capable team overall... When they are good they are very good... But like every NFL team they have their weaknesses... The Bills have some major factors going for them in this game...Playing a west coast team coming off a must win game vs the SB Champs at 1PM at home... The Bills home D has been good...for the most part...dating back to 2013... They are playing smart protect-the-ball-football...And they have good depth... But I don't see this as any easy game regardless...The Bills will be challenged in a big way Sunday...I think it goes down to the 4th Quarter and the D will have to make some big plays to pull this one out...
  2. Exactly... Bingo...He regained control of the ball...That was clear...As soon as any part of the ball crossed the front of the endzone while he had control it's 6...I think everyone got too carried away with the pylon and the ball dropping...He had control and it crossed the enzone line...however briefly and barely...As soon as that happens it's a TD...Don't get me wrong...It was SO close...But it was the right call...
  3. 2 score (two TD'S and two conversions) game...
  4. And the refs missed the most important penalty on the drive...A false start on 4th down...You have got to be kidding me...
  5. Still can't believe they missed that false start...That was a HUGE moment in the game...
  6. False start on that 4th down? WTF???
  7. Whole 2nd team D-Line in?
  8. If we could have just punched one of those red-zone opportunities in... Oh well... I'll take a shutout half any day...If this thing ends 18-0 I'll be just as happy as 35-17... GO BILLS!!!
  9. That GD zone read to Freddie...Twice in the red-zone I knew exactly what they were going to run...I'm fairly certain the Fish knew it as well...Got to come up with something more down there...
  10. I don't think this game is going to be as close as the two teams actually are talent-wise... I think this is going to be "one of those games" for the fish...Kind of like the Home opener in 2003 was for the Patriots...The Pats were a very good team that year, but they walked into a buzzsaw...Even the 78 Steelers lost twice...Games like this happen in the NFL most every year, to most every team...The difference will be the atmosphere...This is going to be nuts... I see the Bills winning big and fairly easily... Bills - 35 Fish - 17 GO BILLS!!!
  11. I really don't see Miami with the talent edge in this one at all...And I don't think that's a homer statement... I think player for player the Bills have more talent overall... If ever so slightly...
  12. I'm doing the same thing... It may seem nuts... But if I'm going out, I'm going out on a high!!!
  13. Marrone was 2-0 vs Philbin last year...So...
  14. I do find it interesting that there is an assumption (by some) that the Bills will be the team that has the letdown after a big win and not Miami... The Bills are the team with better vet leadership (IMHO of course), and our young QB is playing at home where he had a 91.8 QB Rating and completed 62.8% of his passes last year...EJ also had 7 TD's to 3 INT's along with one rushing TD at home last year...In comparison Tannehill had a 79.9 QB Rating on the road in 2013...His 12 TD's to 9 INT's on the road was not bad...Not to mention the fact that he had a terrible game at Buffalo in 2013 when his team had everything to play for and the Bills were going nowhere... Miami is seen, for whatever reason, as the favorite in this game...They are walking into a pretty major buzz-saw, a crowd that is going to be out-of-it's-mind pumped up, against a team with a strong Defense at home...The Bills were MUCH better at home Defensively in 2013...And their D looks to be even better (and deeper) this year...Especially vs the run...Opposing QB's had a combined 64.5 QB Rating in Buffalo last year, and only completed 54.1% of their passes...The Bills D had 14 INT's at home last year and allowed only 12 TD's...The Bills D also had 35 sacks at home last year which was 62.5% of their total last year... I think there is definitely a team headed for a letdown in week #2... I don't think that team is the Bills...
  15. Definitely very mistaken... Though one can easily assume that behind the scenes they were fine with the idea of a Toronto move...Their statements about the Bills and Buffalo were carefully structured IMHO...
  16. I think with most teams you would be right Joe... But I don't think there is any way this team loses focus... Just too many years of that...The vets will see to it that they are ready. They know Miami is no joke... But a bit of confidence based on the way they played the fish last year won't hurt either... This game is far from a given... They know it...I think they'll be ready... I certainly hope they are lazer focused...
  17. I think so... I'm still going to pass...But it's more of a musical preference thing again...
  18. Anyone who knows me knows I'm the biggest Bills fan they know...I make it abundantly clear to anyone I meet, and those who are closest to me understand it's a huge part of who I am...Always has been since I was 5 years old and saw that Buffalo on the helmet...I was hooked...And that was 44 years ago... Over the past decade or so I have been inundated with smart-ass comments from friends, family, acquaintances, and anyone else who wanted to get on my last nerve...I've heard the Toronto Bills...I've heard the LA Bills...We all have...But I always remained steadfast in my opinion (not hope...my honest opinion) that somehow, someway this team would stay in Buffalo regardless...I am not an eternal optimist...But for some reason I was convinced that regardless of all the noise there was no way the Bills would move...And in the end, thank goodness, I was right... So...I will pass this message on to all those who gave me grief over these years...And the message is simple...Suck it losers! GO BILLS!!!
  19. Just... What a great two days huh? GO BILLS!!!
  20. I don't know... While I agree you can't base everything on last year the Fish beat NE at home 24-20 last year, and they beat them 33-20 this year...NE had a blocked punt early that basically gave Miami a TD...So the results were awfully similar to last years game... The Bills Defensive personnel gave Miami fits last year, and they (The Bills) have only gotten better on that side of the ball...EJ is better than Thad no matter what anyone thinks about EJ...And now we have Sammy and Mike Williams on Offense...Not to mention Boobie...If anything I think the Bills have improved more than the Fish...Not saying it's going to be another shutout...Miami is a tough team...But I think this is a good match-up for the Bills still...And as long as they don't turn the ball over, and they keep Knowshon in check, the Bills should win this game...
  21. It's amazing...I understand it's difficult for the defenders...But those helmet to helmet plays are called 99.9% of the time in games I watch...And I watch a LOT of games...That was clearly helmet to helmet, and the defender was clearly coming in helmet first...But yet it's a no-call? That one baffled me... But how about the concentration Woods showed by not only coming down with the ball, but also holding on to it while taking a hit to the head?...That was sweet!!!
  22. The stats may not look like much...But this game is going to be absolutely huge for EJ's confidence... Just huge...
