  1. Probably... In the ends he gets to pick where he plays... After hearing the story of the Cowboys recruitment it sounds like the kid was pretty star-struck...Pun intended...That's where he wanted to play...
  2. I'm not saying I disagree necessarily...But right or wrong at this point we as Bills fans have to believe Marrone and Hackett were exactly the reason EJ did not get much better... And I think there is evidence in favor of that possibility...The Offense they placed him in was a run 1st Offense that could not run with an O-Line that progressively got worse in pass protection as well...It seemed like a poorly executed Offense overall...Not exactly a perfect scenario for a young QB...It took a 9 year vet to come in and make it barely respectable...And he could only do so much... I'm not saying EJ will ever amount to a thing...I am saying there are plenty of folks around here who recognized quickly that Marrone and Hackett were woefully over-matched as NFL coaches...So...we'll see...EJ is now running an Offense with an OC that has proven himself in the actual NFL...He's a 1st round pick with potential and he's only 25...At the absolute very least I want to see what the kid can do under Roman before I make any judgement on them for not taking a flyer on Petty or any other QB they could have had in the 2nd or 3rd round...We'll see how it plays out...
  3. Exactly...And Carrington was going to be a project regardless...He was a 3rd round pick out of Arkansas St...How NFL ready could he really be? Carrington worked hard, got better, earned a starting job only to get hurt and miss the bulk of his contract year... I felt Carrington had really improved in 2012...It may not have shown up a ton on the stat sheet...but it seemed obvious to me he was playing with more confidence... If he's healthy, he'll help...He'll only be 28 this season and he does not have a ton of wear and tear on him... I'm loving the depth on this Defense...
  4. Oh wow! LOVE it... Our D-Line Depth is crazy good now...I was always a Carrington fan...probably more than most...Hope he stays healthy...
  5. A good number of the "experts" suffer in the same area... In all seriousness there are plenty of posters on this wall...yourself included Yolo...that have a FAR greater understanding of what is best for the Buffalo Bills Roster at this point in time...There's no way most of these experts can keep up with every team...There's simply not enough hours in the day...So they wing it...
  6. This is going to be a popular pick...and for good reason...He's got a better than decent chance to stick...
  7. If we Draft a C that's an entire O-Line Drafted in only 2 years... Food for thought...
  8. Let's hope the 3rd Rd Louisville luck continues...
  9. That's good because I was a REAL big fan of the Cockrell pick last year...I really like that kid and I'm excited to see him this year in Rex's D...That's partially why I was surprised by the Darby pick...No one remembers Cockrell...The depth at CB is looking awfully good right now...
  10. I'm guessing he plays some CB and Safety depending on the package... I do think the Darby pick is more about 2016 than 2015...
  11. I'm not saying their right...I am saying I seriously doubt the Bills pick him at #50 this year if they only view him as a future Nickle CB...
  12. I'm guessing they've seen more than that... Seriously though...Whaley Drafted them only one year ago and used a 2nd and a 5th...I just don't think that fact can be overlooked...And yes, I think Rex and Roman had a say in it...
  13. I think it has more to do with locking up the other side for the next 4 years...I think they see Darby as the starter opposite Gilmore from 2016 on...
  14. Very true...Forgot about Henderson...
  15. Whaley Drafted 2 O-Linemen last year...I don't think that can be overlooked...They were his picks as the GM...And they both looked REAL bad under Marrone...The only thing I can surmise from this is that Rex and Roman have determined Kouandjio and Richardson are going to be WAY better than Bills fans think they will be...
  16. Agreed...Not a big fan of this pick at the moment...It's a bit confusing...The Bills have some serious depth at CB already...I really liked the Russ Cockrell pick last year...I think he's got good upside...But due to that CB depth Cockrell could not sniff the field last year...I get that you need depth at DB...But man...It seemed to me like there was a lot of talent still available at areas of need... Now that being said...Darby can really fly...And his upside would certainly seem to be better than Cockrell's...It gives the Bills crazy flexibility and depth in the secondary...I mean...This secondary could be the best we've seen around here in a long, long time...
  17. Maybe...Regardless...The Bills are pretty stacked back there...
  18. Have to say...Regardless of the obvious off-the-field stuff...Never in a million years did I think Gregory would get this close to #50... If someone told me during the Combine that Gregory and La'el Collins would be available in the late 40's I would have laughed...hard...
