Please...Don't even try to bring logic into this particular effort to discredit EJ...There's no need...

True...But they sure as heck asked for it based on their actions would you not say? And I'm not even saying I disagree with what they did...Especially concerning the cap dollars saved...But still...It's not like this was good for EJ purely from a "how it looks" standpoint... Good thing they know EJ is a classy guy who is going to put team 1st 100% of the time...

That's all I'm saying...he's human...I don't see any way, based on how things played out and how much EJ obviously improved, he could feel anything other than pretty bitter disappointment...I mean...Go back and listen to everything Roman and Rex said about him during camp...It was fairly clear they were happy with EJ's development...Then all this and he's still #3? If I was EJ I would be begging out of Buffalo at this point...Especially considering the fact that he lost out to Cassel who is absolutely not the future in Buffalo...If I was EJ I would be pretty insulted to be perfectly honest...

I think this is a more than fair assessment of the situation...I really do... But it's not us that the Bills need to convince...And if I'm EJ, I'm pretty much tired of the whole experience with this team...If they can't even commit to him as the #2 then the writing is clearly on the wall...Unless they are selling something amazing to him that I don't know about...I think any human, no matter how good and positive, would be all-but-fed-up if they were put in EJ's shoes...Having Cassel in front of you as the starter would be hard enough...Having him in front of you as the #2 is a clear indication that you are going nowhere in Buffalo...Just my opinion...

Well...In fairness there was something like $4 million in cap money as a reason for that...

I had my 2-QB league Draft yesterday and TT went WAY higher than I thought he would...I had him targeted for my primary back-up...Or QB #3 ...He's on another teams roster as their #2 QB...Which is a starter in my league...I was surprised...

That's all likely true... But if I'm EJ, I'm not buying it...Especially after being dropped to #3 again... If I'm EJ I want out of Buffalo as fast as humanly possible...

Well...Most QB's don't do as well under pressure...Yes the elite one's are better at moving in the pocket to get the pass away...I'll I'll certainly admit EJ has got a bit panicky at times under pressure...I think that's more due to lack of experience than anything...it's growing pains... But I think I saw an improvement with EJ in that area this preseason...Like the TD pass vs. Carolina when he had to step up out of pressure and delivered a 50+ yard strike...He is getting better...I really believe that...The problem is he landed in a city with very little patience when the entire football world warned the Bills he was a developmental prospect...Then he gets a new coaching staff that has no loyalty to him...Pretty much a lose/lose for EJ...But that's just life...

I really doubt EJ is going to see it that way... Yesterday he was the clear cut #2 QB...Now he has to take a backseat to an average vet QB yet again... Oh well...We'll see in time...I was never 100% convinced EJ was a shoe-in to develop into a solid NFL QB...I was however VERY encouraged based on what I saw this year...And I think EJ's upside is sky high...Thing is...It's looking like we're only really going to get the answers on EJ when he is playing for another team... On the plus side EJ will handle this with class like he does everything...But I agree with those who are predicting this does not bode well for his future in Buffalo...Unless of course some really bad things happen and he gets his shot this year...

Interesting development... Not a big fan of this move though... I guess I should just realize this team is going to do everything they can to assure EJ is gone after next year... So be it...I certainly hope TT turns into Russell Wilson 2.0...Then none of it really matters...

We'll see... One thing is certain...As a Bills fan I'll be pulling for him hard... The same way I'll pull hard for EJ to improve and become the Franchise QB he was Drafted to be...

They're too busy...They've moved on to witch doctors to solve their EJ hatred...Maybe a hit-man... Saw a couple more in the shoutbox this AM...Someone is going to have to explain to me how a Bills fan...an actual fan of this team...can be so actively campaigning against the kid...Like it's far more important for them to be right about the kid being a bust then it is for the kid to turn into a Franchise QB under Roman...It truly does boggle my mind...I just don't get it...

Well...We'll see won't we... I doubt very much your experience and expert knowledge is going to sway anyone who thinks differently...It's about as insignificant as the data you sighted or the amount of time you've been judging QB play... Anyone who thinks they've seen enough to make a final judgement on EJ based on what he did as a young player running a college offense in the NFL is far to proud of their inner ability to see the future...And that's not to say at all that EJ will ever amount to anything...It is to say that there is a 50/50 chance that you are right and you're taking that bet and drawing a definitive line choosing to be negative about a player who, if your a Bills fan, you should probably be routing for...Heck even praying for...Because it is clearly in the best interest of this team to see EJ reach his potential...I don't think that can be questioned whatsoever...Which really makes the anti-EJ campaign well beyond confusing to me...Because it's not coming from outside...It's coming from some Bills fans and a good number of Bills media...I just don't get it...Constructive criticism is understandable, if not warranted in EJ's case...But this goes well beyond that IMHO...I think some people, for whatever reason, just want him to fail... But anyway...Carry on with your effort to align yourself squarely in the middle of the I-told-you-so's should you get your wish and EJ falls on his face...Good on you...

You're exactly right...It does not matter...And that was the point I was trying to make...All that negative reporting when all that mattered is how they finished when they all had a grasp of the offensive system...

So...I guess we can at least put all the "he was #3 throughout camp" garbage to rest...The coaches have confidence in EJ no matter what was reported throughout camp, or there is no way they make this move... I hope most Bills fans will get behind this move...It's entirely possible that we now have two developing young QB's with a lot of promise... I guess the WGR group can now proceed to predicting doom if/when EJ gets in there...That should be their next move...

I do trust Rex and this staff...At the same time I took some heat a couple years back when I came out against Marrone early...So...We'll see... You're on a Buffalo Bills Message board...Most people here pay pretty close attention to this stuff...
