  1. You don't get the logic because there is none...
  2. Take it to the bank then...IMHO Glazer is better than the rest with this sort of thing...He's rarely wrong...
  3. Clearly? Did you see Karlos in that 1st game? The kid runs possessed...I don't think it's clear at all... The Bills are just loaded at RB and Freddie is the oldest...Can he still play? Absolutely...It's not like this was an easy decision for the Bills...But I doubt they thought Williams would look as good as he has...And Boobie is a ST's animal...Fred just got squeezed out...I hate it too...But I don't think it's going to make any difference on the field...
  4. From a football standpoint I can understand it...I think in the end it was going to be Boobie or Fred...And Boobie is one of the better ST's players in the league... From a personal standpoint I really hate this... Oh well...
  5. Speak for yourself... Sorry upfront for my frustration...But...Good grief...What is wrong with people like you?... Can you not clearly see the difference good coaching has done for EJ? I mean...You obviously can remember the bad things EJ did...Why can you not, for a second, consider the possibility that the light has gone on and he's going to continue on the path of reaching his potential under REAL NFL coaching?...It may be preseason but it's preseason for everyone...and there are only 4 QB's with a better QB rating than EJ this preseason...their names are Stafford, Bradford, Ryan, and Brees... This instant gratification mentality is a joke...If you're going to cast away a young QB like EJ before his prime in a QB needy league you do so at your own risk...At this point EJ is clearly getting better when the likes of RGIII, Gabbert, Locker, Ponder, and Weeden fall...Did you see Derek Carr last night? Young QB's make dumb decisions...It happens...It's part of the learning process...Andrew Luck was the the next coming...His rookie year was not great by any means...Every QB is different and to think you can simply use the same formula for evaluating QB's, or make absolute judgements after only 14 starts is ridiculous...EJ's career beginning is almost identical to Ryan Tannehill...The difference between the two is that Miami had patience, while EJ was coached and handled by morons...How is that not understandable? His former HC and OC could barely get jobs in the NFL after they left...EJ looks like a completely different QB now...Coincidence? Come on... All this is not to say that EJ will ever reach his potential...But it's WAY too early to be making that judgement...That much seems so crystal clear to me... For the record I would probably start TT if I was Rex...But I would be getting EJ ready...He's still a real young QB leaning a new system...I just think he needs to get this entire offense down under Roman...And I would be patient...I think the Bills can win with TT...But they could be really, really dangerous if EJ continues to improve and gets in there in the second half of the season... Anyway...
  6. Just going to throw this out there real quick... EJ Manuel is 25 years old, he's 6-5 and has a great arm...He is getting better because...for the first time in his career...he is getting REAL NFL coaching... QB's...Young, old, or whatever do not grow on trees in the NFL...If EJ Manuel is not on this roster in week #1 in some capacity I will be well beyond pissed off... I think TT deserves the start over EJ...I've felt all along EJ would need some extended time under Roman...But I can clearly see where EJ has the better upside if he can continue to work under this OC...We have not had that kind of talent potential at QB since...well...a long, long, time...If it means Cassel has to go...so be it...There is no way in Hades I cut or trade EJ Manuel if I'm the Bills...No freaking way...
  7. Here's the thing that bugs me about this whole deal... The practice issue...We're all here every day...We read the reports...We get live updates from TSW members constantly...I know this is generalizing it a bit...But what I took from most of camp was that all three QB's had good days, and all three had not-so-good days...If I was going by what I heard throughout camp I would probably lean towards TT being the most consistent...If only by a little bit...I do know for certain on more than just a couple occasions I heard on WGR that EJ had the best day of the three...Now...The point about EJ getting more reps with the 3rd team is valid...But it's not the only thing...And these WGR guys are seriously planting their flag on the camp reps being gospel...I just can't for the life of me figure out why they are so sure that the Bills have somehow tipped their hand with the practice reps...I think the camp reps are a part of the equation...But not the whole part....And if you're truly pulling for TT to start than have the brass you-know-whats to bring up how dumb it seems to start Cassel over either of the other two... Yep...
  8. At this point...I cannot even imagine my disappointment if it's Cassel running out there for the 1st snap with the 1's vs Indy... Ugh...
  9. I've been listening for an hour now... "The tea leaves are saying Matt Cassel" OK... To Coller's credit he does say he thinks TT should start...But just like the rest of them is giving EJ zero chance...even to be the #2...Zero chance...
  10. Not panicking about the Defense...Totally understand it's preseason...Just saying...They look awful today... Am panicking about Darby though...He's just about useless right now...No way is that kid a starter in this league...
  11. Who's out? Dareus and Gilmore...That's about it...
  12. Stole him in my Fantasy Draft last night...Slid due to the suspension...
  13. This looks absolutely nothing like the Defense from last year...Nothing...
  14. Well... I've heard two different local talk show guys actually try to make the point that EJ playing well is a bad thing for the Bills... I mean...I'm not predicting anything...And I don't expect much...But seriously...Your 1st round QB playing well is a bad thing?...I thought at that point I had heard it all...
  15. Ready your breakfast and eat hearty!!!
  16. True... That's why that report about Rex wondering if the Jets would be willing to trade Geno made absolutely no sense to me... That being said I think EJ is the polar opposite of Geno in many ways...The thing about EJ is...the same way many fans like me can't help themselves, they have to pull for the guy...I think the same goes for his teammates and coaches...Excluding Marrone of course who was a bitter, terrible, human...EJ works real hard and does everything asked of him plus some...And EJ has all of Geno's raw talent too...I imagine, no matter what Rex may or may not have thought about EJ going in, he's come away at least mildly impressed with his overall upside...And maybe he sees the future at QB in Buffalo a little better than he did going in...EJ's still only 25...He's still almost 6-5...He still has a great arm...He's working tirelessly to get better...He's a great teammate...I just think he's got so much more to work with than Geno...And Geno is a headcase...
  17. Go watch the video...They are literally showing video of the three QB's while he's asking the question... But ya...I'm delusional... Seriously...No one...and I mean no one has even hinted at Simms having a chance at this roster...Is it possible? Sure it is...But it would literally be the biggest surprise of them all...And keeping him over a 1st round pick from just two years ago...No one is expecting that or inferring it...No one...
  18. Sure technically he did not name all three QB's he was planning on keeping...But come on... The question by Chris Brown was framed around the 3 QB's who quite obviously are Cassel, TT, and EJ...and whether or not Rex would have to make a tough roster decision to keep only two...Rex brushed off that possibility immediately... "No...We're going to keep 53 really good players...And I have a funny feeling that means 3 QB's..." Rex, Brown, and everyone on the planet earth knows who the three are...And I'm not saying that he has not changed his mind by now either...Just saying at the time it was absolutely those three he was talking about...
  19. I find it interesting too that it took this decision for him to question Rex for the first time...Up to this point it's been all love...Now, Rex names EJ as the starter of one preseason game and it's time to second guess him...Amazing... Really...I've felt TT was going to be the guy for a while now...But I've never wavered from the contention that there is no way on earth I would give up on EJ yet...There was simply too much unknown about his first two years...And to top it off I was never a big Marrone guy...So yes, I'm assuming running a run first offense that could not run the ball played in to EJ's problems...I just don't see how anybody, especially anyone who lacks football knowledge like Schopp does, would ever want to decide finally that EJ can't reach his potential...I just don't get that... Schopp just said it...He does not feel EJ can be a good NFL QB...Period...That's it...
  20. If you truly think any NFL HC would do something like this with the fans in mind...respectfully...you're nuts... Rex and Roman have been nothing but complimentary towards EJ and his play since they got here...They are doing their due-diligence based on their evaluations of all three QB's...That's all...
  21. Good grief Mike...That would be terrible!!! Why in the world would you want the 25 year old QB you drafted in the 1st round just two years ago to challenge the two guys you brought in? That would be a worst case scenario...right?...
  22. Plus...I don't think there is any question Cassel reminds some of Fitz and Orton...
