Watching this team in the first half of most games makes you wonder exactly what Hackett and Marrone are doing most of the week prepping this Offense...

This version of the Pats is no where near as good as most of the teams that have thumped the Bills in the past... But it really matters not when you shoot yourself in the foot over, and over, and over again... On top of that Hackett can't seem to dial much up against this Pats D outside of a few to Chandler and the TD to Woods...And the Bills O-Line is shaky at best...

Even a FG here would be huge...

Well here we go with the penalties I guess... Amazing...

I've been saying that about Spiller forever...He's a first contact and down RB...If he does not make them miss it's over...He drops immediately upon contact...It's really noticeable...He does not have any of that "get small" like Thurman used to do in order to break tackles...it's just not in him...

There are two things about the Bills Offense in the 21 games under Hackett/Marrone that are glaringly obvious to me... The first thing is that running Spiller between the Tackles almost always results in a negative one, to one yard gain...You can pretty much take that to the bank... The second is that this Offense has an absolute ton of plays designed to throw the ball within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage...So much so that teams are not only packing us in, but are obviously being coached to watch for the short pass first...The pass to Woods in the Texans game right before the half was a perfect example...Yesterday there was a short pass to Freddie on a 2nd down and three defenders were all over him...We threw a FB pass to the flat that had two Detroit Defenders on it in a heartbeat...This is not normal in the NFL unless teams are showing zero respect for your down-the-field passing game...That's why we have WR's so open on deeper routes when we actually call them...I get that Hackett and Marrone are concerned about the O-Line's ability to keep the pocket clean for a 5 and 7 step drop...But it's a pick-your-poison type of thing...The short passing game outside of a couple to Freddie where he just wills it to a good gain is basically not working...So Hackett and Marrone better adjust quick...Because to my untrained eye it looks like Defenses are completely aware of the fact that most of the Bills passing game is quick hits and tosses to the backs...Let's see if the Bills Offensive brain trust can come up with something to keep Defenses more honest...

Agreed... EJ made a few very nice passes that should have been big plays in the 1st 4 games...He just missed too many opportunities on pitch-and-catch-type-plays...Especially on 3rd Downs...That's all...Too many in the dirt, or too high, or too low, or behind...It was the accumulation... Even still, if that last INT vs the Texans had been properly called illegal contact on the DB, and EJ somehow got the Bills into the endzone, he would have been starting yesterday...And who knows how that would have worked out...

How could you tell?

I listen almost every day...And I'm not sure what they said recently...But I do know that Schopp was all for the trade even prior to it going down, and Bulldog was against it...

This game was so poorly called it ranks right up there with some of worst I can recall...And I've watched every Bills games since I can remember watching football...And unfortunately for me I've lived almost a half a century now...So that's a lot of football... It was not just one or two calls that we did not get, it was how tight they were calling stuff vs the Bills while allowing the Lions to get away with just about everything...It was a complete joke... When you piggy-back this game on top of the ridiculous no-call at the end of the Texans game my only question to the NFL would be...What exactly do you expect Bills fans to think? I mean...I'm about as far from a conspiracy theorist as anyone can be...But this is just seemingly blatant...The inconsistencies are obvious...Maybe by the end of the year this will all even out...But goodness it's terrible to watch... Just awful...

This is an easy yes answer... The incredible lack of consistency on what is called from play-to-play...and game-to-game...is mind numbing...It's beyond frustrating to watch...

Can you blame him? He's averaging about -1 inside the tackles...He's just brutal on inside runs...It's not his game...

The Lions would be in BIG trouble if it was not for the pick 6... Oh...And the refs...

As bad as the Bills can be at times it's just insane how they come down on the wrong side of this Defensive holding, illegal contact, and PI thing...There is no way anyone can convince me that there is not an issue here... Something is going on...And it's not good...

Pathetic Offense... Good job by the D... Penalties and the pick 6 are the story... Frustrating half of football...The Bills could be right in this one if they had any Offense...

How would you know? It's not like anybody else really gets much of a chance...

That last play to Freddie (the 2nd down pass) there were 5 Defenders running towards him... Defenses are packing in and just daring us to go over the top an we continue to oblige them with the short passing game... Mind numbing...
