Jets, Bills to pursue Revis (Update-Signed with Jets)
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Listened to Whaley's interview on John Murphy tonight...He teased big plans...I wondered about Revis instantly when he said it... NFL Network...mainly ex-teammate Tomlinson...seem obsessed with Revis going back to NYC and his love for it there... Would hate to see him stay in the AFC East if he's not in Buffalo...That would suck... -
Bryan Bulaga - TG says name to watch
KOKBILLS replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed... I too was excited about Bulaga...But he's been up and down...Difference is, unlike CJ, he was mostly up right before becoming a UFA... -
I have no idea how accurate this is...But according to overthecap.com McLovin brings a $2.9 mil Cap savings if traded or cut pre June 1st...$3.9 mil if cut after June 1st... Also according to the same site Urbik and C. Williams bring a total of around $5.5 mil in savings after June 1st, but only around $3 mil combined if cut prior to June 1st...

Jets, Bills to pursue Revis (Update-Signed with Jets)
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems a bit ridiculous to even think about bringing Revis in...Especially at the price he's almost certain to demand... But thinking about this Defense with the addition of Revis...Oh my...That would really be something... -
Well... It's probably directed more at the "big contract" part than anything... Smith does a decent job at what he's asked to do...But I'm uncertain what kind of "big contract" he can receive based on what he brings...

I'm sure you meant RT... But anyway, I'm guessing Bulaga is going to get some serious interest out there...GB had Cobb as their #1 priority, now they'll turn to Bulaga... -
Jerry Hughes signs 5-year deal with Bills

Keeping that D-Line together is a very good thing... Well done... -
Fred Jackson cut??(UPDATE: Pegula says Hell To The No)
KOKBILLS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would hate to see Freddie go... At the same time I'd be lying if I said I had not known this day was coming sooner rather than later... Wish he could play one more year in Buffalo though...It would be nice to see him get a proper sendoff...One of my all-time favorites...And a hell of a good player... -
SF FA guard Mike Iupati (update: going to Cardinals)
KOKBILLS replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get the idea... Don't get me wrong... Still don't agree with over-paying at OG... Just don't agree with it... But it's not exactly up to me either... And I'm not crazy about Iupati anyway... Yes he's an exceptional run blocker but that's not all he'll be asked to do... Teams are going to be stacking the box and daring the Bills to throw it... If you're going to spend crazy at OG at least pick a Guard that excells in all areas of blocking... JMO of course... I'll fully admit Iupati is a ton better than what the Bills sent out there last season... And that's an understatement... -
McCoy's happiness is a mute point

Not really in favor of bringing in a high salary at OG...Never have been... Just can't see the logic in it so I'm hoping the Bills don't go this route... -
Jerry Hughes signs 5-year deal with Bills
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I imagine they may try to hit him with something like a 6 week...But I doubt a suspension that long is going to stick after appeal... -
Jerry Hughes signs 5-year deal with Bills
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You may be right...But I would imagine at the very least there will be a lot of incentives tied into a contract of that size for Hardy...Just can't get away from the risk assuming the story of that off-field incident are anywhere close to being true... -

KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess it depends on how much the Bills had budgeted for Hughes and whether or not Hardy can get more than that on the open market...Which he more than likely can... But who knows...Maybe Hardy views the Bills as a great opportunity -

KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On the field Hardy might actually be an upgrade to Hughes...And that's no knock on Hughes either...Hardy is a beast...All depends on the market for him with the off-field stuff...But goodness our D-line with Hardy, Mario, Kyle, and Dareus... Talk about best D-line in the league... -

Buh bye... -
If Hardy and Dareus both get suspended at the beginning of the year that would take a chunk out of the D-Line early on...Not that it's a huge deterrent... I live in NC but I really have no idea what to think of Hardy's off-the-field stuff...Based only on what the girl said about the incident it sounds real bad... I do however know that if there is an actual upgrade available to Hughes this off-season...it's Hardy...And the thought of a hungry Hardy on this D-Line?...Goodness... If it does turn out that Hughes breaks the bank somewhere else...and Hardy can be had for considerably less...I can't see how The Bills don't consider it ...Hardy, Mario, Dareus, Kyle...That's a lot of talent...

Old Timers vs. New Dogs in the Bills world and TBD...
KOKBILLS replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep... -
As well they should...
-
Well... Philly can certainly afford to pay him more...But will anyone? TBH I did not think he was worth more than about $3.5-$4 mil per year...
-
Exactly...

I'm seriously shocked that any NFL football fan is not aware of how special Shady is... This is not just any RB... And he is only 26...He's special...Special players tend to do special things... Now I'm not saying Shady is Thurman-good...I would never say that...But I'm just saying...From age 27-30 (4 seasons) Thurman had 4446 yds rushing, 1210 yds receiving and 31 TD's combined... Thurman's first 6 years - 7631 yards...1731 attempts...3053 receiving yards on 295 catches...57 combined TD's... Shady's first 6 seasons - 6792 yards...1461 attempts...2282 receiving yards on 300 catches...54 TD's combined... Thurman had a season worth of carries more than McCoy had in their first 6 seasons...They both contributed big time in the passing game as well...And even at that pace Thurman still did pretty well in his next 4 years... I don't see any reason why Shady can't do about the same...And that's SO much better than what the Bills have currently...It's just night and day... So anyway...I clearly think this was worth the gamble based on the fact that Shady has been an elite RB in this league over the past 5 years...Even if it turns out he is on the decline it was worth the gamble...Because if Shady returns to 2013 form this Offense just took a quantum leap forward...
