  1. Graham could, but his real value is at CB and he'd be missed in the nickel package in particular. I know there are lots here who love Robey but he was exposed time and time again in coverage last year. No matter how you slice is Searcy leaving has an impact on the D, whether it's with Duke taking his spot (ouch) or having to move CBs around. The guy played well last year and will be missed.
  2. Who just sits there as this is happening? I think at that point you're allowed to strike the woman.
  3. Same. It's almost like he's never seen EJ play.
  4. Oh, he catches most of them...short of the first down.
  5. Searcy was not a depth guy. He is significantly better than Duke and was coming into his own. Highly undervalued by Bills fans. If the Bills don't fine a quality replacement I'll go WAY out on a limb and say they'll end up missing him more than Hughes.
  6. The danger with that tactic is that the Bills might just choose to move on. Spiller apparently played that game and now he's looking for a job when he had one in hand. The Bills can't sit around hoping Hughes signs with them when other players are getting gobbled up in FA. I like Davis but oh how I'd prefer Clay if they can wedge him away from the Phins.
  7. OG, RT, TE, LB and S. If Hughes goes you can add DE to that list (though obviously it doesn't have to be a top tier guy.) Granted, some of that can be filled via the draft but I'd prefer a vet OG and TE.
  8. Why should anybody who is "championing" EJ say that? All people are saying is that it's impossible to tell right now, not that he's a shoe in to be a quality starter. Why is this so hard to understand? I can predict that every single QB coming out of college will suck and be right 95% of the time. It doesn't mean I have a clue.
  9. How I hate this quote. I hated it when Marrone first uttered it and I hate it now.
  10. I love the dedication but the guy needs to let his body rest too. You can't grind all offseason and hope to come into camp fresh and ready to go.
  11. I'd say they need to have a top 5 (or so) rushing attack, it doesn't mean they need a top 5 back. Granted, it definitely helps but the last thing I want to see is the Bills think that acquiring McCoy and then saying, "we're done fixing the running game." This team still needs at least one more starter on the OL (at G) and they should still bring in a vet RT who can compete for a starting job. Do that and the running game has a chance of being fixed. Stop with this trade and it will be better, but not the dominant attack it needs to be to compensate for the QB.
  12. I don't think you're going to like the Bills' new HC. Though he can at least contain himself in a public forum.
  13. I'm torn on the trade. If Kiko can stay healthy the Eagles will have the better long term gain from this trade. Short term, it's the Bills. Kiko's knees (and hip) are the curveball here. Bottom line is the Bills need help on offense and they just got some. Now they just need to go out and get another G, a RT and a TE. Oh, and a QB to compete with EJ...
  14. When I was a teenager and worked as a bagger for Kroger I had to bag AND wrangle the carts (AND push the cart out to the car of the shopper and load it into their trunk if they wanted.) Kids today, Jeesh.
  15. Freddie does everything well. Blocking is just something he is great at. There's no back in the league better at blitz pickup. As for your statement, I think more than the fans think he deserves to stick as evidenced by the fact that he's still on the team. In fact, he's considered - inside the locker room - to be one of the leaders. So really the statement should be that the "only ones who feel he doesn't deserve to be back are a few fans, everybody else knows his value."
  16. What now? Well, obviously they'll be cutting EJ as their next move.
  17. I'd take the Bills unis over the Raiders any day. I'd also have the Colts much higher than they do on this list.
  18. Makes no sense, not sure why this is deserving of it's own post. Because a prediction the guy made once came true? I predict that EJ won't be cut two days after FA starts. If I'm right will you make a new thread with my next prediction?
  19. And despite it's limitations it's still the best stat we have to get a gauge on accuracy. I'll trust it more than some random guy's "eyeball test."
  20. I'm assuming that was a rhetorical question.
  21. I skied in the French Alps for the 6th straight day. Unfortunately, tomorrow is the last day.
  22. Why would he love him when I read on PFF that hes "average." Are we serously going to take the word af an NFL coach who has coached against the player over a website?
  23. This is where I'm at. Bring in Hoyer and let him and EJ battle it out. If the Bills can somehow land Bradford without giving up too much for an injury riddled QB I'd take that option too.
  24. Perhaps I didn't phrase that as well as I should have. I mentioned at the beginning of the post about big plays (positive and negative), that's what I was referring to in that sentence, not literally every single positive or negative play. Orton had way to many easy sacks, inaccurate throws on 3rd down or simply checking down to a back on 3rd downs to be able to keep drives going. Those are drive killing plays and are big negatives over the course of a game. Orton's positives were never able to outweigh those (as evidenced by the teams horrid offensive production.) Now, I don't lay it all on Orton's feet as the OL didn't help much but nobody gave EJ that excuse and he is significantly less experienced.
