  1. Look no farther than the offensive side of the ball and Fred Jackson. Not the one year, league minimum part but the part time player/heart and soul aspects.
  2. The "eye test" is for people who can't back up their arguments (or are too lazy too) but don't want to just put "IMO" so they try and make it sound more official with "eye test."
  3. Even injured, gimpy Jackson was still better than Bigger, faster, stronger last year.
  4. It can also happen to a guy who is working on his footwork and throwing motion. Of course he's doing this at the same time he's reading the D trying to figure out the proper read. He's thinking instead of playing. It takes a lot of repetitions before he'll stop thinking about all those things. Hopefully he's gotten to (or will soon get to) the point that he can just play. We'll see a different player when he can do that.
  5. Well damnit, let me edit my post then: They'd have to work some cap magic to do it but we might see the rushing record fall with that child-beating scum behind that line if they could make it happen. I hope that's better as I wouldn't want to be seen as having "sympathy" for AP...
  6. If they are going to give teams an extra time out for medical reasons the player should have to miss the rest of the quarter, not just a single play. And yeah, it shouldn't work in the last 2 minutes of the game.
  7. They'd have to work some cap magic to do it but we might see the rushing record fall with AP behind that line if they could make it happen.
  8. Nothing says "thinking out of the box" like the cliche "thinking out of the box."
  9. I'm sure D. Murray is pleased to hear this. Let's hope if he is cut the Bills make a play for him.
  10. Yeah, when all but one of your balls are deflated and none of your opponents are that's pretty much all you need. There was never going to be anything else unless the person who did it confessed.
  11. The funny thing part is you don't even realize how ridiculous your post is. Criticizing a poster for suggesting the Bills shouldn't be too quick to rid themsevles EJ for a player like RG3 while mocking EJ for his knee injury. Yeah, cause RG3's knees are juuuuuuuuust fine.
  12. You are a better man that I. How could you give out this info without a smart ass comment??!!!
  13. I seriously doubt most NFL GMs would feel that same way if they didn't already have a franchise QB. Granted, I have serious doubts how well Rivers could do with the wind conditions at RWS given his gimp arm. He needs a warm weather climate or a dome, even more so than Brees.
  14. Just three months ago who would have thought that there could possibly be a thread titled, "Whatever happened to Jim Schwartz?" so early into 2015.
  15. The fans have no "task at hand." We're just passing time entertaining ourselves on the internet.
  16. Do you really think the Titans would rather have Mario Williams than Phillip Rivers?
  17. Well, yes and no. He re-aggravated a knee he had scoped last offseason. So it was already a knee that had been bothering him and he had a minor procedure on. Here's a link to a report last pre-season: http://www.thephinsider.com/2014/8/13/5998557/miami-dolphins-charles-clay-sidelined-by-re-aggravated-post-op-knee
  18. Rex's Ds have been successful at stopping the run more often than not. I'm not worried about the D at all as long as they stay relatively healthy.
  19. Schwartz was probably a season or two from getting some HC interviews. I'm guessing he wasn't too happy with Marrone bailing on the team. He might have flushed Schwartz's HC chances down the toilet with him.
  20. The Wildcat died a fast, painless death years ago. Nobody is brining in a player - especially a QB - to run it (since the essence of the formation was to snap it to a non-QB.) I think you're talking about the read option. The problem with this is that if you bring in a special package and only run the read option out of it that tips your hand to the D and it becomes pretty easy to stop. The read option has had success lately when it's run out of an offenses base personnel and not a sub package. I think they brought in Tyrod because they feel he's another young QB who might be ready to hit his stride and they want to see what he can do when given an opportunity to start. Imo they've done this smartly brining in a vet who can start if need be but they also have two young guys who might be ready to shine. I'm guessing they'd prefer one of the younger guys to blossom.
  21. Nah, blitzing over and over again is a bad idea with the speed the WRs have. The way to beat them is to stack the box and then drop into zone (or a zone/man) and rush just 4 most of the time. As bad as the OL is four will get pressure often enough and this forces the QB to move the team methodically down field on 10+ play drives. As of this moment the Bills don't have a QB who can has shown the ability to do this on a regular basis.
  22. I like how Brown states that even if Williams put in the work he wouldnt have been able to keep Hogan off the field. Whatever you say Chris. I remeber this story as well but I remeber it saying that Williams wasnt asked by Orton to run the extra drills. I wonder which (if either) is true.
  23. If guilty calling him an idiot is an insult to stupid people...and I mean that litterally. Lots of dumb people make it through their day without dropping a rufee into some woman's drink and then raping her.
