  1. It seems like Bucky is trying to fill the void left by Letterman's retirement. How many top 10 lists is he going to do?
  2. It seems the media thinks Ryan got the GM job too. I keep reading things like this.
  3. Someone skips his calf exercises.
  4. I dont think they actually understand the math you laid out for them.
  5. People want to rationalize his absence like it won't matter that much but it will. The guy is the best player on the team, his absence is huge. You just hope they can overcome it.
  6. Deadwood is fantastic. One of my all time favorite shows and one of the programs that set the tone for the last decade or so of quality TV. That being said it is disappointing that they didn't know the show was ending when it was cancelled and so it just stops at the end of season 3 instead of having any sort of ending. The ride is still well worth while.
  7. Yet they give the Steelers the #1 spot with those hideous striped nightmare throwbacks.
  8. I haven't waded through this entire thread so forgive me if this has been stated. But just so I have this straight: If EJ barely loses the QB battle to Cassel but vastly outplays Tyrod then EJ will be traded for a 7th? Or if EJ loses to Tyrod and Cassel suffers a season ending injury in the pre-season he is obviously getting traded. The mean, he's obviously gone if he doesn't win the starting gig, right? There is no need to see how the pre-season unfolds otherwise.
  9. No bystanders were killed or injured so in the end a few more Dbags are dead and the world is an ever so slightly better place.
  10. That's interesting, because from what I gather he has a chance to win the starting job this year and that play will have no say in whether he does or not.
  11. 32 yards rushing per game is a lot. It takes the Bills from one of the worst to one of the best rushing teams in the league. You're talking 500+ yards more for the season. Roughly 3 more first downs on average per game. Those are not insignificant stats.
  12. They sound like pretty much any group who have an affiliation with something that gets attacked. People defend what they love, even in the face of obvious facts. This board would be no different if it were the Bills.
  13. This is like believing that "deflate" refers to losing weight. Let's not kid ourselves.
  14. And Goodell himself will hear Brady's appeal. Normally, I think the guy who handed down the punishment handling the appeal is total BS. In this one instance I think it's totally fair...
  15. I'm sure you're correct. We'll never hear anything from them because there is no way the Pats fired them without doing this first.
  16. I thought for sure this was from an Onion article until I searched it and found that this is what the Pats are actually claiming!
  17. That's actually not a "fact." That's like, your opinion, man. If the Pats were so good on their own why did they feel the need to cheat? Athletes (and teams) who are confident in themselves do not feel the need to break the rules, particularly if the advantage gained was as minimal as you claim. If they didn't get any value out of deflating the balls or video taping other teams why go through the effort to do so? THEY obviously felt it was worth it in the grand scheme of things. So for a 3rd party (you or others with a similar opinion) to come in and say it was "trivial" doesn't mesh up with the team (or Brady) thought. Who would know better about the advantage gained than the cheaters themselves? The bottom line is that they felt it gave them an significant advantage. If it was an insignificant advantage then they wouldn't have even bothered. If they'll do these things to gain an advantage how many other things are they doing that haven't been caught yet? Yet it's a "fact" that they haven't been winning because they cheat? I'm guessing that this is just the tip of the cheating iceberg. Even if the advantage was "insignificant" the punishment should still be significant. If there was a poker player in the World Series of Poker who was cheating in a way that gave him a .1% better chance of winning each hand would the powers that be let him keep his title if he won the entire tournament? Or would they strip him of his title and winnings and ban him for life? In order to protect themselves from further cheating and to make sure everybody involved has confidence in the legitimacy of the game harsh punishments need to be handed out when things like this happen even if the advantage was "insignificant." Imo the NFL was nowhere near harsh enough.
  18. Fred has made a career our of proving his doubters wrong. The Bills kept bringing in high draft picks to replace him and yet here he is and all of those guys are gone. So unlike some others I won't mock this opinion though this time, giving his age, I don't think we'll see the same results as in the past. That being said he's still a valuable part of this team and I don't think he's going anywhere unless he gets hurt in camp/pre-season. No other RB on the roster can do all the things that Fred does, he's the total package and those kind of guys are valuable, even if he's not the best pure runner.
  19. You have made hundreds of arguments on this board about EJ so why do you continue to do so? Why can't you let a single EJ thread slip past if you've already made the argument a hundred times?
  20. Is someone who has the name "NY Nole" really saying somebody else's posts are self serving on this topic?
  21. Yeah, I agree with this though by coaching I'm primarily thinking about the blocking scheme/offensive system. They drafted, big lineman who excelled at man blocking and tried to make them fit a zone blocking scheme. I am a little worried about Roman's history of liking to pull his guards as we might have the worst pulling guards in the league. It was downright embarrassing last year. Hopefully Roman can do what Hacket couldnt - adjust the scheme to fit your players and still be successful.
  22. My favorite part is the Camero puts on his turn signal to pass him in the grass.
  23. I can't stop laughing at this. To top it off they put their other slogan, "the perfect beer for whatever happens" right underneath it. Classic.
  24. Maybe they do and maybe they don't. History has no influence on the outcome of that specific game. It's pure speculation on your part. All I know for sure is the Bills actually won the game.
