  1. Not sure what you're talking abuot as I'm pretty sure Rodak would stick up for the Pats.
  2. I think if Marrone was still coach of this team they would't be doing it either. But after he quit many here want to paint Marrone as the biggest POS coach this organization has ever seen so they want to take away the winning record. I might be on board with questioning the result of the game if the Pats were beating the Bills until they pulled Brady and then the Bills came back. But the fact is the Bills led start to finish and while the Pats didn't play all their starters the Bills were down two of their best defenders. And as much as I dislike Marrone he had the team prepared to play that week when they could have just packed it in after the Raiders debacle.
  3. It's curious why you keep using 2014 when EJ had 4 starts which is a small sample set. What happens if you look at his numbers from the season he started most of the games? A quick look at 2013 and it shows that EJ's completion % of passes between 11-20 yards is 46.3% - right on par with what you're saying Smith had early in his career.
  4. First 3-4 episodes were particularly good for a TV adaptation. The fight scene at the end of episode 2, in a hallway, with multiple opponents, while injured, all done with just a few shots while the camera tracks up and down the hallway might be the best fight scene I've ever seen on TV (where time constraints don't generally permit this type of staging of the action.) Normally they'd get standard coverage and cut it together with quick edits to give it a visceral feel and move on. The season stays pretty strong throughout with the only hiccup coming in the season finale. It went from a pretty unusual take for a comic book adaptation to very standard fare. Overall it was a good show, much better than Marvel's other offerings on TV. Also not a fan of the mask on his costume. They need to fix it.
  5. That's why the seats and walkway shouldn't be that close to the net.
  6. I'd also say that he's pretty bright. So you have a bright, hard working guy who has all the tools to be a good QB. That right there is why I'm willing to give him some time to figure it out.
  7. Im not going to go search for posts but I have seen numerous which claimed EJ would never be a good QB. You love to quibble about the tiniest parts of losts and ignore the overall post. Its a nice message board trick but adds little to the conversation.
  8. You forgot Incognito.
  9. Not irrelevant at all. They didn't achieve their goals because of the offense. Orton was brought in to "save the season" yet didn't get the job done. Totally relevant. Though I can see how someone who consistently argues the opposite point of view would want to just dismiss it. You don't get to carry over wins from a previous season. Tell me how going 9-7 under Mularkey helped this team move closer to achieving their goals?
  10. Yeah, the D almost got them into the playoffs single-handedly. Unfortunately it takes a slightly more complete team to finish the deal.
  11. Well, the way I saw it when they made the move to Orton is was playoffs or bust. I would have absolutely been happy had it resulted in the playoffs. There were no playoffs, hence it was a bust. I'm trying to figure out how benching the young guy for the end-of-the-road vet makes some people "happy" and feel he "saved the season" when the team sat out of the playoffs once again (despite one of the best Ds in the league.)
  12. He doesn't have to get beaten out at LT. All that needs to happen is Kromer decides that the best overall OL has Glenn at RG. Personally, I can't imagine that it would make sense moving your best OLman away from LT but who knows.
  13. With the exception of the Browns none of those are improvements, most of them are junk. And what's with the Giants on the American flag? That might be the worst helmet design I've ever seen and that's saying something.
  14. Was her last name Kennedy?
  15. Of course his end game is HC, every single coordinator in the NFL has that end game. All we can hope is that he turns this offense around so he can attain his end game. I don't think it would be one and done though. If he is one and done it means that either EJ or Tyrod were turned into a bonafide starter and the passing game looked good. Only turning around the career of a young QB would illicit that type of demand for him. If that's the case I'll take it.
  16. That is the natural progression of changing a bad mechanic in any sport. EJ changed his throwing motion before last season as well by tightening it up. He also worked hard on his foot work. These types of things are exactly why people say that it takes years for a young QB to be able to come in and really get comfortable as they're working on mechanics while at the same time trying to adjust to the speed and complexity of NFL defenses. My question is: Why the hell aren't college coaches working on mechanics? It seems like they just let these kids come in and wing it.
  17. The guy isn't associated with anyone. If my memory serves he claimed it was Whaley himself who texted him about Rex and now he thinks Whaley should be fired? Uh, Yeah.
  18. It appears your teachers were mediocre. Your definition of mediocre, not the actual one.
  19. There is a difference though. Its the same thing we saw with Manziel: off field activities, maturity, and the will/desire to be the hardest worker in the room. Winston has all the physical tools, but do you trust him to put in the work to make himself great or will he be another Jamarcus Russel who thought that pure talent was enough. The 14 game argument only holds water if the guy is putting in the work to better himself. If he's not, no amount of play time will make much of a difference. All that being said I dont know how you dont roll the dice and pick him if you are in need of a QB. Just dont be surprised if hes a huge bust 4 years from now.
  20. Or it could simply be proof that Brady re-upped his deal with the devil.
  21. I think players want the truth, not just smoke blown up their asses. Its up to Urbik to prove him weong but at least he knows wxactly where he stands. Thats all you can ask for from your boss.
  22. Kaep has never thrown more than 21 TDs. Granted, he does nearly fit into the 2:1 TD:Int ratio you were talking about. I agree, get those kinds of numbers and this team is easily in the playoffs.
