  1. If we finish 7-9 or worse does Whaley get fired?
  2. Presumably he'd be #3 here behind Shady and Karlos but ahead of Boobie, Cierre, and 'Boom'. Similarly in Seattle he is #3 behind Lynch and Rawls but ahead of Rod Smith. The defending NFC champs decided to activate Fred today even with a mild high ankle sprain. But given the way the Bills are performing they must know better, right?
  3. He is 3rd string but he is playing with 1 carry and 1 catch. Note we are currently playing with or 3rd string RB and our 4th is out of the game.
  4. Cutting Thigpen over a few fair catches seems like a loser move.
  5. Goodwin is in the game.
  6. If he ever refers to a "presser' he should be fired. I was fine with his press conference overall.
  7. A few points: The 300-pound, 25-year old player (Tyrunn Walker) that crashed into him later broke his own leg. He's out for the season at age 25. "Fred isn't going to come back as fast at this age": Hard to debate, this is pretty much the way it is. Anyone who thinks differently, is probably not yet 30 themselves. Slow recovery from injury is probably a bigger problem than extra chance of injury at age 34. Fred got injured on a play that would probably have injured a much younger player as well, in my opinion. "Fred has a high ankle sprain": I haven't seen anything that definitely states this. If he does get the "dreaded" high ankle sprain (I'm not sure how someone said "high ankle sprain" without the word "dreaded") then they might send him to IR, unfortunately. Link? "Fred is injured now, so he wouldn't have helped us if he were on the Bills": No way to know how a hypothetical scenario would play out.
  8. Latest word is that X-Rays were negative. He will have an MRI, per Ian Rapoport. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000550950/article/russell-wilson-seahawks-hold-on-against-winless-lions
  9. How can you leave out Colton Schmidt?
  10. The 7th is also 2 seasons from now.
  11. I too hated the train noise last time I was at the game, and if a fine and 5th round pick is what it takes to get rid of it I'm not sure I'd be upset. However, if the league hasn't given "notice" of the fact that a train sound triggered too late can cost a team money and draft picks, then it could be challenged in court. Just make sure that the same judge hears the case. Also I look forward to the courtroom sketch of Rex Ryan.
  12. These kinds of lingering injuries happen with increasing frequency when RBs get old and have a lot of mileage. I think we heard that about 5,000 times this summer so why is anyone surprised?
  13. Not the playbook, the actual game plan for the Patriots themselves. As I understand it the game plan consists of a subset of the playbook customized to that opponent.
  14. You might be on to something actually. Give him the wrong game plan and then cut him.
  15. D coaches going to use clock, not pressure, to win.
  16. What's the fine for doing nothing wrong and then getting called?
  17. Did the Colts decline that because accepting a fake call is poor sportsmanship?
  18. With a halftime score of 17-0 I would say we got what we needed in the first half.
  19. Maybe they were going to cut him in anticipation of getting Bilal Powell.
  20. It's a very odd scenario, a semi-public suicide at a festive event. Very sad to be sure, but also unusual given that most suicides take place alone.
  21. Harvin is not injury prone? He has barely practiced!
  22. I agree, but that does not mean it has no humor value.
  23. Although he was off by 3 for the Bills (not good), he really did poorly with the Texans who he predicted at 2-14 and the Cowboys at 5-11. Overall he did not predict well and completely blew the NFC East and NFC South predictions.
