Slow recovery from injury is probably a bigger problem than extra chance of injury at age 34. Fred got injured on a play that would probably have injured a much younger player as well, in my opinion. "Fred has a high ankle sprain": I haven't seen anything that definitely states this. If he does get the "dreaded" high ankle sprain (I'm not sure how someone said "high ankle sprain" without the word "dreaded") then they might send him to IR, unfortunately. Link? I too hated the train noise last time I was at the game, and if a fine and 5th round pick is what it takes to get rid of it I'm not sure I'd be upset. However, if the league hasn't given "notice" of the fact that a train sound triggered too late can cost a team money and draft picks, then it could be challenged in court. These kinds of lingering injuries happen with increasing frequency when RBs get old and have a lot of mileage. I think we heard that about 5,000 times this summer so why is anyone surprised?
