  1. All that happened is that they took the roster from week 17 and moved every ILB (except Shep and McKillop) to OLB; every OLB to DE and every DE to DT. THe roster on buffalobills.com means nothing about where the stash plans on playing people.
  2. I would not be surprised if the Bills took a guard early. Levitre, Rinehart & Urbik will all be UFAs after this season.
  3. I would not say an EPIC FAIL. San Diego offered more than any other team was willing to pay. Meecham: Mr. Nix, San Diego just offered me 25.9 mil over 4 years, will you match their offer? Nix: Have fun in San Diego. What else could the Bills have done?
  4. I predict that RG3 will be this generation's Barry Sanders or Dan Marino. Great players that never had a good enough team around them.
  5. Tannehill's college coach is now with the Dolphins. If the Dolphins, who know more about him than any other NFL team, do not want him @ 8. I do not want anything to do with him @ 10.
  6. The last 12 years get lumped together because being a Bills fan has changed so much. There was a time when the Bills were the only thing in town. If you blasphemous enough to go to the store during a game, the game would be playing over the store's sound system and the place would be empty. Little kids and old ladies would have the schedule memorized. Remember how it was in Buffalo during the 2007 NHL play-offs? It was like that every fall for years. There was a time when people wore zubaz to church. So to answer "Why do the last 12 years get lumped together" it is because the last 12 years have not been what we remember and love. Right now, being a fan of the Bills is not as much fun as it was in the late 80's and 90's.
  7. I do not think the Bills are afraid, I think they project that the guys worth it @ 10 will not be there. Many experts are projecting that Ingram will be drafted by Jacksonville. Most mock drafts have Copels gone by #10. If the Bills, for whatever reason, do not want Upshaw @10, then they will look at another position.
  8. From what I read, the other GMs did not make it because they were on the phone with P. Manning
  9. Whenever I hear about Schoop being rude, I always think of the Coach. He was one of my favorite sports talk hosts. That guy would hang up on anyone. If anything, I think Schoop is to polite. He lets all sorts of idiots go on and on. People who do not know what they are talking about should not be given air time when I am driving home from work, that is what internet message boards are for.
  10. How much of that is due to the fact that he is playing in California? If Noureen DeWulf lived in Buffalo, would Miller perform this well more often?
  11. If Tannehill is there @ 10, trade the pick. Someone will think he is worth it.
  12. I know, it is a copycat league. Every other good team reaches in the draft for positions of need and gives out big money to free agents. I cannot believe that the Bills are not following the example of other successful franchises. Look at all the success the Redskins had with Free Agency. More recently, reaching for Trent Williams has really panned out for them. Last year the Eagles proved that you can build a dream team through big name free agents. Crappy teams in the NFC North do not have to look far to see how successful a team, like the Vikings, can be when they are aggressive, reach for positions of need, and trade away 1st round picks. The Vikings are looking at a dynasty the likes of they have not seen since Hershel Walker and the lowly Packers lost in the playoffs, again.
  13. No surprise picks @ 10 please. The Bills should take someone who has been graded as a top 15 pick since January.
  14. Yes, I think he would fit what the Bills are looking for. He's 6'4", he's averaged 7 sacks per season over his carrier.
  15. I'd like to see Thigpen after an off-season. Guys like Thigpen and Brad Smith suffered this year because they could not join the team when camp started. I think he will look better this year. If he has to make some starts, Gailey will make some adjustments, just like he did in 2008.
  16. Quinn succinctly identified why Tebow was successful. “The entire game, the defensive line is chasing the quarterback around, and that wears down the pass rush. Meanwhile, the defensive backs are chasing receivers, but you only throw eight passes, so they start to feel lazy. It only takes that one play, that one big pass, for a touchdown.” That is not a bad strategy. Tire out the defense and then hit a big play. This is the ‘use the run to set up the pass argument’.
  17. Defensive End http://ezinearticles.com/?Defensive-Line-in-the-Miami-4-3-Defense&id=1986961
  18. I like to look at the pre-combine projections. No player should improve in their rankings because of the combine. But players should be able to fall in rankings because of the combine. Part of the problem is the fact that bad teams pick before the good teams. This causes two problems. 1) The people who make the earlier decisions are not as successful as the people who make the later decisions. (In every round teams like the Bills pick before teams like the Patriots) 2) The players drafted later, enter a more successful system and are better positioned to experience success. If you just took the Colts and the Lions from 2000 to 2010 and did this equation you would likely find that the earlier pick was better than the later pick an alarmingly small percentage of the time.
  19. I do not think that many coaches jettisoned by the Bills have gone on to have that much success. Kevin Gilbride is Kevin Gilbride. He can put together a very good offense and at the same time drive you crazy, ask Buddy Ryan. Aside from Gilbride, none of Buffalo's offensive coordinators have had any real success elsewhere since the superbowl era. Perry Fewell coordinated a defense that ranked 27th in yards allowed last year. Jerry Gray's Titans ranked 18th in yards allowed and missed the play-offs. Aside from those two 'successful' coordinators, none of Buffalo's defensive coordinators have had any real success elsewhere since Ted Cotrell.
  20. Why are people talking about Free Agency? 1) I think that in February the possibility of getting one FA starter is worth talking about. 2) Look at what the Bills have done already, they brought in a FA corner. The Bills would not have paid to bring him here if they did not think they have a chance to sign him.
  21. He was just promoted to OC. He was their QB coach last season. He is not yet 'treasure for others'
  22. In defense of Gronk, how many people love to go out and blow of steam after a bad day at the office. He was not celebrating a loss. He was drowning his sorrows in alcohol. After all, he is a 22 year old from Buffalo.
  23. How many players on the Bills would you NOT trade for a first round pick?
  24. Expansion could significantly help the Bills. Diluted talent or not, a re-ordering of the divisions could put the Bills in a place where they may have a shot at the play-offs.
