  1. Exactly, I don't care what he does off the field - that includes 'saying the right things'
  2. The Dr. never ran. The Monster, that thing could move. Consummate Professional - Isn't this the same guy allegidly who beat up his girlfriend/child while in college? Didn't he allegidly pull a gun on his dad less than a year ago? I'm not trying to knock the guy, but we must be really board to comment on James Hardy's professionalinsm.
  3. I thought Leaf would be better than Manning. I thought Johnson would be better than Flutie. I thought Losman would be better than Bledsoe. I thought Young would be better than Collins. I should never offer an opinion on a QB controversy
  4. Alex Mack is strong and awesome
  5. I think the Bills have a DE or OLB in mind for #11. If the guy they want is gone, Pettigrew is the back-up plan.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if Bus Cook wasn't Pettigrew's agent. Cook was in town when Pettigrew was in for a visit.
  7. When they brought in Evans for a vist, the 'experts' thought 13 was to high. I think if you are going to make an 'it's safe to say' list, you should include a guy who the Bills brought in for an individual workout. Myself, I'm hoping they go with any of the 5 on your original list.
  8. The Bills brought Pettigrew in for a visit. He should be on the list.
  9. I do not know why they do it, but sometimes they do. Last year they signed CB Will James on March 25th. I do not think it's so much a smokescreen but a back-up plan if the draft doesn't go the way they anticipate.
  10. Maybe the Bills will give you a try out.
  11. The pats make signings like this every year. If they work out, great - if not, they get cut. Bargian shopping is a great way to use free agency.
  12. If the Bills do not draft a LB early, I think they will sign one of the other guys. Not many teams run the cover 2. June and Keiaho will still be available in May.
  13. Those teams, NE and Philly, both were consistant playoff teams when they started trading down. How good would the Eagles be if they traded out of the 2nd overall pick in '99? If the Bills can pick up an impact player at #11, they should make the pick. If the Bills are looking at a 'solid starter' type player, they should trade down. There may be a Dwight Freeney or Patrick Willis available at #11 this year. If so, the Bills should draft him. Of the 7 players drafted at #11 from 2001 - 2007, 7 have made the pro-bowl at least once.
  14. It takes 2 sides to cooperate. The Bills and Peters are talking this year, Peters has not missed any OTAs, yet.
  15. I'm sure Trent is happy that the Bills are looking for a TE. If that's why Bus Cook was in town.
  16. Why would someone come to town just to 'talk' about a 'potential' trade? Doesn't this guy have a phone? I understand that players like to see the practice facility and meet face to face with the coaches who will be their new bosses, but why does an agent visit without a player?
  17. Wasn't Edwards one of the reasons TO claims he came to Buffalo? Maybe TO wants a QB with Edwards' demeanor. Maybe TO wants to be the dominant voice in the huddle. If TO wanted to play with Cutler, he would have signed with Denver. If TO is going to lead us out of the desert and to the playoffs, we should not change quaterbacks. Or at the very least, get TO's express written permission.
  18. the article is on the front page: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/billsnfl/story/606369.html "However, a source familiar with talks said Peters’ first offer was in excess of the $11.5 million-a-year deal signed by Miami’s Jake Long, who was the first pick in the draft last year. Long’s deal was for five years and $57.5 million. " "It’s believed Peters wants to be the highest-paid left tackle in the NFL. " "The top contract signed by a veteran left tackle went to Carolina’s Jordan Gross just three weeks ago. A week before he was about to become an unrestricted free agent, he signed a six-year contract worth about $60 million, with $30.5 million in the first three years of the deal. "
  19. The reports are that the Bills offered Peters a contract better than what Jake Long the #1 overall pick got last year. Peters now wants to be the highest paid left tackle in the NFL. If the Bills negotiated with Peters in March of '08, they would not be in this position. The Bills promised to re-work Peter's contract in '09 in order to get Peters to report. Peters made the pro-bowl again. If Peters was a free agent, he'd be the highest paid left takle in the nfl. When you promise a guy that you will re-work a deal, you've got to pay the market rate.
  20. I thought McKinney was the lazy lineman. We drafted Williams because he had a great combine and never took plays off.
  21. I have not read one of those articles in a long time. I've never read any by this Bialy, but if he's worse than Connor, he's got to be pretty bad. Connor's articles were no better than a TSW post. Please remove RealFootball365 from the front page. Or create a seperate section for Blogs.
