  1. Historicaly, I have been terrible at predicting QBs. I thought Leaf was better than Manning. I thought Johnson was better than Flutie. I even wanted JP over Trent. I looked for the physical tools and ignored success. I do not want Clausen because he had a losing record at ND. His teams acheived nothing and his coach was fired. Not all of this was his fault, but he did not do enough to lift the play of those around him. Give me Colt 'I've won more college football games than any other qb' McCoy or Tim 'I won 2 national championships despite throwing like a bar league softball player' Tebow.
  2. I don't have cable. My choice is 550 or 1230.
  3. It is sad that somebody had to get cancer for the Bills to become good. I'm convinced that if Polian did not have to take over, the Bills would have taken Flutie over Bruce Smith.
  4. what is a reach? Davis, Williams (both the LT and DT) Bulaga, Clausen, Spiller, Morgan, Kindle and McClain would all be an ok value @ 9. Hughes or Tebow would not be a good value @ 9.
  5. You can just buy tickets dude. It's about as hard as attending any other event @ radio city music hall.
  6. Any word on the draft being covered by local radio? WGR will carry the sabers game (if it is on) WECK will have the yankees game.
  7. And that was when he weighed 278. If he can return to his natural weight, he can probably play DE. The story in the Buffalo News where they do not provide an actual quote not withstanding.
  8. Kelsay was 280 at the combine. Under DJ & co, he was playing well under his natural weight. If Kelsay is going to stay with the team, he will get back to his original weight and play DE. People posted the exact same thing when the Bills went to the Cover 2. If the Bills want to cut him because he makes to much money that's one thing. Until they get to minicamp, noone really knows if any player currently on the team can play end in the 3-4.
  9. Kelsey was 280 and ran a 4.7 40 @ the combine. He will likely go back to his more natural weight and play DE.
  10. Levy would not have started Byrd, because he never started rookies. I think Poz could have started over Bailey.
  11. Just like he benches returners after stupid fumbles or losing 15 yards.
  12. It's the Bills. They have 5 LBs in the 220s, or lighter, and only one over 240.
  13. I have to go w/ Buffalo Bill. Teams will defend our offense by pressuring Edwards. If the line can give him the time, and Edwards can find the open man, downfield, the Bills will be tough to beat. If Edwards is taking hits or dumping the ball, the Bills will not be able to put together drives and will not score enough.
  14. I used to listen to WGR all of the time. I would always get frustrated about many of the things brought up in this thread. After the Sabers were eliminated, I removed 550 from my car presets. I am happier for it. Here are a few opinions to note: 1) WECK guests/interviews in the afternoon are better than WGR's 2) In the when driving to work, 97 Rock's Bills coverage is much better than WGR's
  15. Maybe Buffalo knew A.Smith was either going to go to Cincinnati or be available at 11. LT plan A - draft A. Smith @ 11 LT plan B - pick up L.Jones after Cincinnati cuts him due to drafting A.Smith @ 11 LT plan C - turn Bell into the 2nd coming of J.Peters
  16. If Parrish really wants to stay in Buffalo, he'd text Jauron: DJ I luv U I want to play CB
  17. Byrd and Whitner are the same size and are supposed to have some of the same skills. With another player capable of handling centerfield or slot coverage it will be easier for the Bills to hide what they are doing. Hopefully the addition of Byrd will allow Whitner to take more risks and generate big plays.
  18. A few weeks ago I suggested that Parrish could have a higher trade value after the draft. A team the wanted a returner, but didn't get one, could be willing to trade a decent 2010 pick.
  19. When was the last time the Bills used thier 1st pick on a player who filed an 'importiant' need? OL & DL have been an important need on this team for the last 15 years. Currently there is not 1 lineman on the roster that the Bills took with thier 1st pick in a draft.
  20. Sounds like the perfect player for this team. According to many, Edwards never throws a pass more than 10 yards. Pettigrew can block, and even if he's slow he can turn those passes Royal dropped into positive plays. Why the Pettigrew hate?
  21. So the worst case senario has Buffalo able to choose from Brown, Ayers, Maybin and Jackson at DE. Many people predict the Bills will take one of those guys anyway. The worst case draft senario isn't that bad. The Bills must take the 2nd-best pass-rusher in the draft - how terrible
  22. Losman should move back to CA and get a job with a company that helps prepair QBs for the NFL.
  23. At 227, Oman is the biggest HB on the team. He's about the same size as Schouman. Could Oman be trying to make the team as an H-back/Fullback
  24. You are probably right, but how many people thought the Bills would get any offers for McCargo. There was a recent article on NFL.com about draft trades. Most teams work the trades out in the week prior to the draft and then make the deal if certian players are gone and/or available at certian picks. Maybe Kelsey, Parrish, Simpson and McCargo will be used as part of packages for the Bills to move up in the draft.
  25. Williams was drafted in '02. McNally joined the Bills in '04. While McNally was here, the Bills drafted: Butler - starter Pennington - one good year Merz Preston - played but never developed Geisenger McFarland No linemen in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd rounds Preston was the only one in the 4th round Butler was the only one in the 5th round The others were 6th & 7th rounders. Durring his time here, McNally was given 7 pieces of sh--. He turned one piece into platinum. One into gold. 2 more into lead. The rest stayed sh--.
