  1. Butler's problem was managing the salary cap. When he left the Bills, they were among the league leaders in dead cap space. He had the same problem in San Diego.
  2. THe article also indicates that Williams has not asked Kelsey about the number. Williams was not #90 in college. Maybe he does not care what number he wears.
  3. In that article, Kelsey states that he wore #90 his entire career. wasn't Kelsey #92 before he traded with Ryan Denny?
  4. You just have to get lucky with QBs. I would rather the right guy than just any guy. Look at Green Bay. In 2003, they wanted Grossman to be the QB of the future. The Bears traded up to take him, Green Bay fans were upset. In 2004, they wanted Losman to be the QB of the future. The Bills traded up to take him, Green Bay fans were upset. In 2005, Rodgers fell. One of these years, a QB that they like will be available at a spot they like. Until then, we can sift around in the dumpster for the next Kurt Warner.
  5. What should Nix have said at the press conference? 1) I gave 10 mil to a guy this off-season, but I think a 7th rounder has a chance to beat him out. 2) I drafted him 3 picks before the end of the draft to see what people on the internet would say. Like all 7th rounders, to make the team he is going to have to do well in camp and hope he does not get caught up in the 'numbers game' where they decide to keep an extra DB or LB.
  6. 1) RG3 will be on more pro-bowl teams than play-off teams. 2) Of all of the players that entered the NFL these past few days, none of them is more disappointed than K.Cousins right now.
  7. I like the way the draft worked. Teams that think they are a player or two away and have depth (Patriots/Cowboys) traded picks to get guys they wanted. Teams that know they are rebuilding and need many good players (Rams) traded for picks and now they have an opportunity to fill holes. The Bills have 10 picks - I do not expect all 10 to make the 2012 roster so they do not need more picks in the later rounds. On the other hand, the Bills are not deep enough to give up a second or third round pick. The Bills proved this off-season that they will adjust their philosophy when needed. Look at the way the draft has gone. They have a shot at one of the 2nd tier OTs. Would you rather have Gilmore & Glenn/Martin/Adams or Kalil & nobody.
  8. Burfict will be working for a drug dealer within 36 months, if he is not in jail.
  9. I would like to see if this claim can be verified. I have seen information that leads me to believe he predicted neither McKelvin nor Lynch.
  10. Carrington played DE in 4 man fronts last year. I do not see why they are moving him. I also thought that in the move to 3-4, Kelsey should have gone back to his combine weight and played DE. From Buddy's comments, I think the Bills want to go with Williams/Anderson/Kelsey/Merriman as their 4 man rotation at end. If someone gets injured, Carrington may go back to end.
  11. I think nix's comment is more of a statement on the lack of depth for TE in this draft. If they do not take Fleener @ 41 (if he is there) is there a TE project in the draft with more potential than Onobun?
  12. I think it is the opposite. I think Floyd did not impress Nix in his combine interview.
  13. He will say it was the person they end up picking. You do not often hear GMs saying "We wanted Jones but he went two picks before ours."
  14. Sounds like Donogue/Modrak's reaction when asked about McGahee.
  15. Why would anyone visiting today be last? They will bring in 30 players. If Floyd is visiting, he will be the 26th. Correction, if Floyd is visiting, he will be the 31st and the Bills would be looking at sanctions for violating NFL rules http://www.buffalobillsdraft.com/bills-prospect-interviews/
  16. If the green plus button in the corner worked, I would 'vote this post up'
  17. And that guy retired in 1991. None of the guards from 1991 to 2007 have been inducted. Lets say DeCastro can play all OL positions and will be in the HOF. Who would you rather have on your team, 3x pro-bowler Will Wolford or Hall of Fame player Bruce Matthews?
  18. When was the last time a player that played only guard got into the hall of fame?
  19. Didn't the last Arkansas coach leave the NFL less than a year after signing a long term contract?
  20. Not a bad idea, get as many tackles as you can and bring them into the off- season program. Hope that at least one will work out and cut the rest. I guess the downside would be, does your position coach have enough time to evaluate all of the players, identify the best one and get that guy ready to start? It is one thing to focus on one guy, but dividing your attention between 3-4 may hurt them all.
  21. My predictions: 1) The Bills will have more than 45 sacks in 2012. 2) RG3's career will look like Barry Sander's - He will play in twice as many pro-bowls as play-off games. 3) The Bills' play-off drought will end. 4) Peyton Manning is never 100% and is not a Bronco in 2013
  22. After all of the extension comments, I think it would hurt the Bills reputation not to extend Freddie. Even in business, reputation matters.
  23. Is this score bad enough for him to fall to #10? dis make me go Bills? (edited so the honey-badger could read it)
  24. How did he rupture his Achilles in March?
  25. The reason people are saying OT is a bigger need than WR is because they think te Bills will draft OT @ 10. There are OTs worth a top 10 pick. There are not WRs that will be there that are worth a #10 pick. If the Bills were not going OT in round 1, Bell would be re-signed.
