  1. I'm usually with you. I find I like the off-season better. We don't lose any games! However, since tim graham reported that the Bills passed on Marty Schottenheimer because Ralph wasn't 'comfortable' with him and then they hired Chan Gailey, I've sort of been in the "things won't get better until the owner changes" school. I mean what are we looking at next year, 6-10?
  2. Hello! Potsmoker!
  3. I do believe that the owners, as caretakers of the game, will make sure SOME football gets played this year.
  4. I googled Charlie Gantt to see if he is Reuben's son. Turns out he white.
  5. Donohoe was Mr.-I'm-the-smartest-guy-in-th-room and let's make a splash. Either Newton or Gabbert. I'd like to think that after coaching Bruuuuce and Biscuit, Levy understood the importance of a pass rush and would take Bowers or Miller.
  6. Check out the Sporting News mock that has us taking him in the 4th round!
  7. Gotta say, I agree with Adam. Recent statements by the Chan favorable to Miller and talking about the need for a pass rusher lead me to believe that Miller is the man. It will be interesting to see what they do if they are both there. I would think they have to take the 320 pounder first
  8. Although the Spiller pick has not been productive to date, I thought the first round comments were idiotic. You don't just take a QB high because you have a new regime.Who is the great QB available to us in last year's draft who is better than Fitz? The guy also talks about Andy Dalton like he will be the starter from day 1. Stupid. While he does seem to have a grasp of our positional needs, I really don't expect us to go offense 3 times in the first 5 picks.
  9. The OP has a good point. Fairley's weight was a LITTLE lower at the combine than everyone expected and rthat seemed to have started a downward loop that has knocked him down about 10 spots in the draft. No talk of him anymore at three. On a personal level, the thing that jumped out at me about him is that when he seemed to make plays, it was because he was totally unblocked, somebody missing an assignment. I always favored Bowers but his injury has not healed sufficiently to flash his speed at his pro day. I think he is a beast though and if the Drs give it the ok, i would still take him. I would be ok with Fairley too or even Gabbert. I don't want Newton or Von miller.
  10. ha ha yes! :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:
  11. You're right. He's a second-rounder
  12. Your overall analysis is poor. The NFl is a passing league. You have to be able to run but passing is at least as or more important. The Bills can't be a 3-4 team until they have a nose tackle and another MLB. Until then, they are better suited to the 4-3 with Williams and hopefully Troup at the tackles. Wanny is a 3-4 coach by the way. Newton is too risky a pick. The Bills haven't stopped the run since Pat Williams left. Take the best run defender in the draft- probably Darius.
  13. What does a 23 year old need with Viagra?
  14. Exactly right. Def. Line with first pick. No Von Miller
  15. I don't think there is any question but that the coaching staff's happiness with Fitz is a clever subterfuge and that Chan actually plans to groom Levi as the starter, possibly by opening day. Gibran Hamdan will be brought in to work with Levi on reading defenses and general chroisonality. Great Day! Great Post! Go Bills! Fandemonium!
  16. As an out-of-towner, I used to love it. Felt connected to Buffalo sports.
  17. I am more curious to see if Bowers is still there. Has he been cleared medically by the team drs? What if he and Darius are there?
  18. If anyone has seen Gabbert's highlight package, he can do it all, including throw on the run. Good velocity. Still want a defender in the first round though. I have thought that Ponder was on the Bills radar since the Senior Bowl. At least we got a good look at him.I think he is a possibility in Rd.2.
  19. You are of course referring to the Tom Donahoe era which we all remember fondly. Not ready to put Buddy in that category just yet. If we do trade down, I can't see it being lower than 12-15. If it adds a 2nd rounder, that's ok.
  20. I personally believe that Chan will find a guy he likes who will be available in the second or even third round.
