  1. You're right, it wouldn't fix everything. Nothing is 100%. However, money is power and money talks. If you don't have any you have no power and no one listens to you. Thus many things are chalked up to racism when actually its poverty IMHO. Lets look at one place often derided and rightfully so with racist results. The criminal justice system. That's a place where money speaks loudly. Go in with no money and you'll likely get a bad result. Go in with money and you will likely get better results. The OJ trial proved the system works. A rich black man can get off just like a rich white man. Same goes for education. Have money to go to a better school you get a better result. On and on ... Instead of whining its not fair that people with money have more power we would be better trying to figure out how to close the income gap providing better opportunity and as a result less racism.
  2. If we could somehow crack this nut, all the rest would go away.
  3. Were the Central Park 5 super predators?
  4. The FBI knew it was coming with the tools they have just monitoring FakeBook, Twitter, and Parlor and others. Why do they need more? The problem was not not knowing, but a bad plan for defense (almost none). The biggest question for me is why was that the case. Republicans and Democrats don't seem to be too interested in this question for some reason.
  5. As I pointed out several times during the campaign. Goes to bad judgement. As did his 1994 crime bill and Iraq War votes, but y'all elected him anyway. I hope his judgment that he can dump $6,000,000,000,000.00 into the economy without causing inflation is right for once.
  6. Hypocrisy from who? As for me, I think it is bad behavior on Trump and Biden's part. But what President Biden is doing/trying to do sounds inflationary. How could dumping 6 TRILLION into the economy not be? Inflation hurts the disadvantaged and poor the most.
  7. So if Trump blows out the budget its OK for Biden to do likewise? Is that your standard? Why would you want President Biden to do anything like Trump did?
  8. Shining city on a hill?
  9. Do you think we'd have it today In its current supply if Pfizer didn't have a $2,000,000,000.00 standing order from the US government in July 2020?
  10. NPR tells a different set of facts. That's July 21, 2020. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/11/24/938591815/pfizers-coronavirus-vaccine-supply-contract-excludes-many-taxpayer-protections
  11. Freedom has cost too much blood and agony to be relinquished at the price of rhetoric in bed. Yup.
  12. Come on, man. Silence is violence.
  13. Josh likes his women a little the trashy side.
  14. I suspect @Chef Jim would probably agree with this:
  15. This is my favorite line in the article.
  16. My theory is its less a roll out problem and more of a supply problem. Last year the US ordered and bought 800 million doses. How many did Canada pre order and purchase? I suspect that's why we're getting it faster. Money talks.
  17. I find these Jim Crow comments extremely gross. I'm old enough to remember when Jim Crow ( as is President Biden) was still the law of the land. Blacks had to ride in the back of the bus. They could not go to white schools or stay in white hotels or eat in white restaurants. They had poll taxes and literacy tests to vote. Black people could not live in Oregon until 1925 because the state convention forbade it. When Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. did a show in Vegas the hotel said Sammy couldn't stay in the hotel and had to enter through the back door. The hotel relented when Frank said he wouldn't play there under those conditions. If you think this is Jim Crow all over again visit the Civil Rights museum in Birmingham AL. Or, visit the Colored Musicians Club and museum in downtown Buffalo. https://www.cmctheclub.com/club-history Black musicians could not join the musicians union and play in a lot of the whites only clubs so they started their own. The proprietor of the club will tell you all about it. Calling this Jim Crow is like calling the guy that serves soup not hot enough a Nazi.
  18. Tell your friend to do an internet search for weed stores in Washington or Colorado and look at the prices. I usually buy pre rolls for between $5 and $7. 1 gram. A little less for me cuz I get a 10% Veteran discount. Good stuff.
  19. They deliver here too but I've never done that.
  20. In Washington state where it has been legal for 9 years the price has gone down and the quality has gone up. I have zero desire to buy black market weed. Why bother? Within 3 miles of my house there are 4 stores and they have great selections. If NY does it like Washington did, you're gonna like it.
  21. Neither can the people (the hospitality industry is over represented by minorities) missing work and business because the MLB moved the game which was my point.
  22. You must have missed my posts leading up to the election. I brought it up multiple times.
  23. How exactly are they "losing their vote"? Other people sacrificing their income is easy for you to say. Will you also be sacrificing a day's wages to make sure they aren't " losing their vote"?
