  1. McCoy was Tebow's OC in Denver. He changed the offense once Tebow took over. He also had Orton in his best seadon. Dude can work with what he's got. So hotrod stays I would think.
  2. I doubt that. Last year was a bad QB year too yet you teams trading up for Wentz and picking Goff high.
  3. Murph was right. It was a forward pass.
  4. And cheaters gonna cheat (see McDaniels term in Denver).
  5. Nothing changes til the ownership changes.
  6. Because some guy says the interview went well he's the front runner?
  7. Tom Landry didn't even do that, yet his teams enjoyed 20 straight winning seasons, 5 Conference Championships, and 2 Lombardis. Tom Coughlin had 2 Lombardis as well and he was pretty mild mannered on the sidelines. All this rah rah yell at guys is OK as long as you're also football smart and a great leader. You can win with it (Tomlin, Hardball ex 49er) or without it (Landry, Bill Bellyache, Coughlin).
  8. But if we get Mitch we won't have a top ten pick next year. Just the 32nd.
  9. "We"? You got a mouse in your pocket?
  10. Of course he also took over a team with Big Ben that won the Super Bowl the month before ...
  11. At the end of every season, only 1 team is happy. What comes along with a playoff season is a good run and some big wins in December. I want that. A playoff loss would hurt, but not as much as the Stealers, Raiders, and second Fish loss. BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS REGARDLESS OF RESULT!
  12. Your stats proving Gilmore is a good tackler reminds me of the person that used to quote stats to prove SJ didn't drop passes.
  13. It doesn't look like it the way he plays.
  14. Stats are for losers. There's lies, there,'s damn lies, and then there's statistics. I don't need stats when I watch the games and see him frequently run away from contact. The books out on him which is why players jump over him now. Diving low and being jumped over doesn't appear on stat sheets. Being drug 15 yards downfield shows up as a tackle on the stat sheets. I know I saw him make weak effort missing tackles that extended drives at least 3 times this year. When you have the opportunity to make a diving tackle attempt but instesd slow down to point the finger at one of your team mates, it just perpetuates the culture of losing. But the stats say he's good, so go with that. I want guys that want to win.
  15. Uh, no it's not. It's the off season. We got fa and the draft. I think we can find someone better.
  16. Guess you missed this TD saving play a few weeks ago.
  17. I take this to mean you can't name any other CBs in Gilmore's echelon there worse tacklers.
  18. Exaggerate much? I just want a CB that when he has the opportunity to STOP a drive and get the D off the field actually makes a tackle. Not either run away or dives at thier feet. I saw Gilmore keep the D on the field like this several times this year. Can you name any other CBs in Gilmore's echelon that are worse tacklers? His coverage skills are decent, but if he gives up 1st downs, TDs, and big gainers because he's afraid to tackle, it takes away from the benefits we get from his coverage ability.
  19. I'm not exactly sure what "echelon" Gilmore is in (high "echelon" guys don't get torched by Marshall and Fitz), but I'll humor you're insinuation it is high. I got 2 for ya. Revis and Sherman.
  20. Not no, but HELL NO. I want corner backs that can cover AND tackle. If you play defense you HAVE TO tackle. It's not rocket surgery. Somebody like Nate Clements for example.
  21. That's how a corner back is supposed to tackle. He stoppdd Tommy on 3rd down getting the D off the field. I guess the Bills payed corner backs to tackle back then.
  22. If you're afraid to tackle, playing defense in the NFL is a bad career choice. I want a DC who when watching 2016 film sees Gilmore "tackle" or attempt to "tackle"or whatever he calls it, or runs away from contact, throws his pencil and says (in an angry voice) "HELL NO! NO WAY THAT MAMBY PAMBY DUDE PLAYS ON MY DEFENSE."
  23. I noticed after the first few games we weren't blitzing much. I chalked it up to Rob's influence. When he was DC in Dallas or New Orleans or Cleveland or Oakland, he didn't blitz much. Then instead he was only in charge of red zone D. I guess read wrong.
  24. As Judge Jid Udy would say, "if it doesn't make sense then it's probably not true." Why would you make this decision before you hire a coach? Makes no sense. More Twitter silliness. Whatever
  25. As far as the same GM hiring 2 successful coaches back to back goes, Jerry Jones hired Jimmie Johnson and then Blarry Splitzler. Both handsomely sport Super Bowl rings.
