  1. Tom Landry was a defensive genius after being a player coach for the New York Giants. Most remember and think of him as an offensive genius. He was, but maybe it was because he equally understood both sides of the football? We don't need an offensive or defensive minded coach. We just need a good HEAD Coach.
  2. Coughlin as HC and Wade as DC. Lynn or whoever as OC. These guys know how to beat the Patsies**.
  3. If I have been a proponent of hiringGus because in large part I could see a Seattle style D being a good fit for our personal. Similar to what we did with Schwartz. Simple. Line up and go after the football. I fail to see how the defense still being good is any kind of indictment of Gus' abilities.
  4. But Alex Smith is 1000% times better in a close game in the 4th. Which translates into wins which translates into playoffs. It's not even close.
  5. Exactly. If Bill Bellyache wants to trade him to us, that means he's not very good. If he thought Jimmy was good he'd either keep him or trade him to a NFC team. We'd be setting ourselves up if we were to go for this.
  6. I like Hotrod and think we can win with this offense with better D and better Kicking teams. I'd rather keep him than roll the dice with someone else (unless Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers falls in our lap). But come on man, Hotrod can't even carry those guys lunches.
  7. What exactly does Whaley do to sabatoge these coaches? He doesn't get along with them? I don't get along with boss me some comworkers either. Am I sabatoging them? In environments with strong egos, not getting along is not uncommon.
  8. Not interviewing Jim Bob Cooter?
  9. I think he retired after the Giants won thier second Super Bowl over the Patsies** with him as OC.
  10. Rex's job was to win. He did it better than anyone since Wade. He had issues, but I agree with Peter. He should have gotten 1 more year. It makes us look stupid and will affect our ability to hire a real coach and attract new talent in the off season. That said, i hope it works. Go BILLS !!
  11. I guess if you don't have Rex to B word about anymore, you still gotta B word about something if that's your job.
  12. If the Bills were set on Anthony, why not just hire him? Why the charade of a "coach search" if the "fix" is in?
  13. No way on the Patsy guys. Bill Bellyache is a control freak and runs everything anyway. The underlings just hold clip boards. Didn't he even go with NO offensive coordinator one year? Besides that they're used to playing with some advantages most teams don't have or won't do. McDaniels isn't even a good cheater.
  14. Cowboys only had 10 men on the field on this play.
  15. Do we really want a QB/leader that we promised 27 mil but then said icks nay, you still 15 or whatever? I'm thinking that would leave some bad feelings. If we don't exercise the option, he probably signs elsewhere. Pulls a Fitz. I can't blame them, a deal's a deal.
  16. I wish we would have given Rex 3 years. Having 4 coaches over 5 years is freakin' NUTS I don't care who you are.
  17. What give you any confidence the Bills could pull something like this off successfully? If we do as you hope we won't see .500 again for another 10 years, just like the last time we tried it. We can't even hire a coach. We're now on our 5th in the last 6 years. LOL
  18. I hope you sooooooooo wrong.
  19. Say what you want about Hotrod, but we score a lot of points when he plays. I'm leaning on keeping Hotrod but only if we keep Rex. Any new coach is going to want to bring in his own OC and QB. It will be hard for the new offense to keep up with this one with Hotrod.
  20. As far as the Rooney rule thing goes, evidently Lynn himself thinks it may be playing a role in getting interviews. He says he's not doing any interviews unless they've already interviewed a minority candidate. As far as him being great, what he's done as OC he took over the leagues top running offense two years running and didn't fug it up.
  21. It's all click bait now. Really not all that new, but maybe on Steroids right now. In Dallas, Skip Bayless was the king of negative nasty articles about the Cowboys in the midst of a 20 straight winning seasons and back to back to back NFC Championship games
  22. I noticed that too today. He doesn't stay home.
  23. I hate seeing him out there with Jerry on the sidelines. I haven't watched him super close, but so far he hasn't looked all that impressive to me.
