  1. Stay at 10 and draft McAfree. It would also be a good defensive move keeping him away from Patsies***.
  2. This reminds me of another one. Jim Zorn. Traded by Dallas as part of the Tony Dorsett deal. Was 3rd string in Dallas. Seahawks were an expansion team and did get to playoffs with Zorn. He is in their Ring of Honor. The Steve Deberg connection is that the Cowboys had in camp the year before Roger Staubach, Danny White, Jim Zorn, and Steve Deberg. Jim beat out Steve and was traded the next year.
  3. To me it's all 3 phases of the game. WE NEED A NEW KICKER!! Carpenter missed 2 FG in the final Fish game. He makes both of those we probably win. He affected other games as well. Also, Hotrod helped in our losing record by continually not being able to mount successful comebacks. If he gets us in the EZ vs Hawks and Fish either of his opportunities, then we go into that final Jets game 9-6. We go all out, Hotrod plays and PLAYOFFS !!! The D we know about. It wasn't just the D or just Hotrod, it was all 3 phases of the game that did us in. We must improve on all 3. Go BILLS !!
  4. Kurt Warner was Eli Manning's backup. Then he went to Cardinals as Matt Lienert's backup and then became starter and went to SB. He qualifies. Or if he hadn't thrown that pick six before the half. Or if the Stealers had been flagged for giving Fitz the business out of bounds when he was trying to get back on and chase down the guy with the football. He almost caught him.
  5. To getting benched by the Giants for Eli to backing up Matt Lienert to starter again and SB again. Craig Morton Played for Marv at Cal. In Marv's book he says Craig was beat athlete he ever coached. Was the starter in Dallas and played in the loss to Baltimore. Then benched for Roger. Traded to Giants when Roger took over. Ended up on Denver and getting the team to SB XIII only to get clobbered by Roger and the boys.
  6. Roger Staubach should be higher.
  7. Kurt Warner Was going to make a snarky comment about Kraft being drunk, but then remembered I really don't have room to talk. The ONLY thing I like about Kraft is he built his own stadium without taxpayer money.
  8. 80% of the QBs you mentioned's teams have made the playoffs. 40% to conference championships and 20% to a super bowl. 60% have won a playoff game. I would gladly "over pay" for a QB that helps bring success, like Alex or Colin rather than stomp my feet, close my ears, and say "but he's not good enough to win a Super Bowl" (like we really know that). -Not a tanker
  9. I get tired of hearing this from the Tankers. In Tommy's career the other 2 teams in our division have been to the playoffs twice with the Jets actually getting to the AFC Championship game twice. Why haven't we? It's our own dang fault.
  10. Although I'm not a proponent of dumping Hotrod, I do think Foles would be a good choice if we did. He had his big year in a run heavy/safe passing offense which is what I suspect we'll run.
  11. To me, Hotrod gets the blame for not getting us in the EZ with 1st and goal at the end of regulation and again in OT in the red area. Same goes for the Seattle game.
  12. How many do they have? Bills have 2 on the Patsies** Hulk Hogan Branch
  13. There are worse things in life than losing. Don't cheat on my behalf.
  14. Yet somehow the Fish with a rookie head coach was able to make the playoffs this year even with GOAT and Patsies** etc.
  15. A couple of things. I thought he had experience with Hotrod yet he is not listed on the article. Please don't bring in Case Keenum.
  16. I'd take that 1/2 a New York heartbeat. This TBD snobbery that we only want a QB that can win a SB is silly IMHO. How many TBD experts would think Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson or Kurt Warner would win a SB before thier first playoff appearance? Get to playoffs, build from there.
  17. And the Bills gained more yards than the Giants on Super Bowl XXV. If your state hasnt passed this yet, you might want to call your representative. My state already passed it. http://www.nationalpopularvote.com
  18. If you say so. We'll see. That's why they play the games. I'll watch, because unfortunately like you, I can't predict the future. Just curious, did you pick the Fish to make the playoffs this year?
