The videos on the Buffalo Rumblings highlighted my Hotrod pet peeve. He doesn't step INTO the pocket. He drops back, stands there, and then when the Defensive Ends come around, he tries to run around them often getting sacked. I see him do this a lot when there is a clean pocket to step into. I figured this is what he would be working on in the off season, but evidently not.

I disagree. I think Touchdown Mike is better than that. When I think of dime a dozen backs, I think of guys like Boom Heron or Johnnie White. Those guys never have or ever will in their wildest dreams run 50+ once much less twice in 5 games.

I could even see the Bills being looked past on Sunday ...

He's started 16 games and been through 6 training camps/seasons. How many more do you think it will take before he can read a defense?

I have been watching Gilmore make sad,weak attempts at tackling, running from contact, and footballs bouncing off his hands for 4 years. None of this is new. Over rated.

I suspect it will all come down to how EJ plays this year. He'll get his chance to get in probably sooner rather than later. Hotrod has been beat up the 1st 2games. Only a matter of time before he's out. If EJ plays well like he did in the 10 yard pass Thursday and like he has in PS the last 2 years and we win more games than we lose, the Bills will likely try to re sign him, as will other teams.

I love the TBD thinking that some points are less important than others. In fact, some don't even count. Bottom line, even though not playing well, the Bills have been within a TD in both games. If both sides of the ball can put in a decent performance, we got a really good chance to win.

At my house we were glad EJ was coming in too and we weren't kidding. Are you saying EJ did not play well on those 2 plays? I would love to see Hotrod drop back, not hold the ball, and make a nice pass for 10 yards sometime.

Firing the Ryan Twins now would feel good for a few weeks. Then we'd have an interim coach. Then when we go to look for a coach next year, who in their right mind would work for a team that fires it's coach after 18 games? We'd end up with someone like Chan Gailey who nobody else wanted. Play it out and go from there. Hopefully we win 6 or 7 games and it doesn't look like such a bad spot for a new coach to come to.

I disagree. We have Gillislee. Finally we get him into the game Thursday and he scores a TD on a great play. Actually in the last month of the season last year he provided this role well when Karlos would get his weekly injury. I believe he had pretty much passed up Karlos on the depth chart anyway. Boggles my mind why he hadn't got some carries this year. Seems Roman decided that McCoy would get ALL the carries.

Shirley you can't be serious. I guess if you're including the safeties then they aren't horrible. But Gilmore is probably one of the worst tacklers I've ever seen. And Darby is not a whole lot better.

When Rex did blitz in the first couple of series Fitz burned him. Happened several times. Perhaps this played into that decision?

This reminds me a lot of Dick firing Turk the week before the season and promoting Van Pelt. Hopefully it works better. Seems like the Raisins rolled on after the fired Cam.

Unless we have a lot more (by design) broken plays. Seahawks make a living out of this. It's what Hotrod is good at. Evidently Salas is good at it too. Own it and ride it. Do what you do do well.

This is big problem I have with Rex and Hotrod. He gets hurt and wants to stay in even though he shouldn't and Rex sends him back in. Last year vs NE he couldn't even throw and he went back in. From seeing his demeanor on the sidelines last night it looked like he needed more time but Rex sent him out there. We should have let EJ finish the series and then re evaluate IMHO.

Y'all just now noticing this? Gilmore sucks at tackling and has ever since he's been a Bill. Instead making a sure tackle, he dives at their feet and hopes they trip over him. Who does he think he is, Dion "They don't pay me to tackle" Sanders?

I swear, sometimes it looks to me like the D lines up in the Flex Defense on some plays.

In one of Jets vs Bills games last year Fitz went long on the first 3 plays. Not a Bill anymore though. I also remember a game from the 70s nowhere Jaws threw a bomb for a TD on the first play against the Cowboys. Eagles ended up losing that game likee 24-7. Heck I have a hard enough time trying to remember the first play in the second quarter, much less the last 20 years ...

Tackling is also part of playing CB. Darby missed one in the first half that would have been a short gain into a long one. Just dove at the guy's feet or something.
