  1. I can't speak for eliteqb, but I suspect (s)he was thinking more along the lines of when Whaley brought in Marques Gray and Thigpen before the Packer game in 2014 and they had an immediate impact. Wether you like Whaley or not, he did have a knack for finding diamonds in the rough.
  2. I saw a play I think in a college game last week that would be sweet for us to run. The QB pitched the ball to a RB on a sweep. The QB stopped and watched. Then, snuck outside and the RB threw it back to him. Some offensive lineman got out front of him. Like a QB screen. I could see that working really well for us.
  3. They wanted to do this on Seattle. But they said It wasn't fair because poor people drink regular soda while rich people drink more diet. so they tried to make it fair by taxing diet the same as regular. Finally, they gave up.
  4. I think this is over rated. You don't necessarily need a track star to go deep. K Clay got open deep vs the Falcons but misjudged the football so bad he couldn't catch it. Zay got open long vs Falcons too, but he did what he usually does on that one. You just gotta wing it out there 4 or 5 times a game with who you got IMHO. You might get lucky and the WR actually catches it or PI.
  5. My biggest concern with Rico has nothing to do with Hotrod. It's that with pretty much the same OL and RB we led the league in rushing 2 years in a row. Now we can't open a hole for McCoy to rip Off a big one any more. That said, I expect him back next year unless he quits.
  6. He's a bust. I think his cieling dropped a little bit last night. Seriously though, he made a lot of rookie mistakes.
  7. I missed the Falcons game and was watching it last night. This dude (KC) can't track the football in the air. Hotrod threw him a long pass and he slowed up looking for it like it was going to he short and then at the last minute dove but couldn't reach it. If he had just kept running, it would have been in the right place to catch. He did one similar later on. That one might have still been over thrown, but he slowed down looking for it.
  8. Paired with historically bad Defenses.
  9. This is right dead on the money. So often on sacks and other scramblers, he could step into the pocket and deliver the football. Intead, he tries to run AROUND the DEs often running into sacks. This is one thing I was hoping an off season of practice would help, but evidently not.
  10. Coach Marrone fixed our Defense and ruined our Offense.
  11. There's a black lining in every cloud.
  12. I hope. 9-7 would be a 2 game improvement over last year and maybe even good enough for playoffs. I want better, but 9-7 would good.
  13. I'm saying he should catch the football when it hits him in the freakin' hands. The game winner TD catch for the Cheese yesterday was a much harder catch than that. That's what NFL WRs do. Do you think that pass was too hard for Zay to catch?
  14. They gave up a bomb on the first series. Perhaps they should look inward.
  15. This is my ONLY concern with Hotrod but it's HUGE. This has happened often, but he did well enough vs Carolina to do it if you know who had caught you know what.
  16. Are you saying that WRs dropping the football is NOT an issue right now?
  17. Just curious. Do the Giants give themselves an asterick for SB XXV because Norwood missed that kick?
  18. Scares me too. In a perfect the world this might be a workable strategy. But it's not a perfect world and we play on the NFL and we're the Bills which means mysterious flags will fall late. Or obvious infractions are ignored (Sherman holding Woods or whoever it was on EZ). Glamour teams get the calls and schmucks like us don't. The only way to break through is for us to be far enough ahead so it doesn't matter. Easier said than done, but what we should be trying to do IMHO.
  19. Why do we do this to ourselves? It happens every year to everybody. Some teams that are expected to do well don't and ones not expected to do well do. Bottom line: Win 10 games against whoever and you're probably in.
  20. Correct. our pick will be #32 Go BILLS !!
  21. I agree. I especially liked this part. Shows wisdom by dgrochester55. The Good Ole Boy network. Funny this is how TBD works. When we win, the shout box and threads are hot. When we win, it gets quiet. I noticed this a few years back.
  22. Sweet. Thanks. Didn't get to see the game today and forgot to record it.
  23. And he would have a better Defense. Still early, but looks like we maybe blew it, AGAIN.
  24. As a general rule, things can always get worse.
