  1. honestly I see him carve up teams that don't blitz him in almost every game I watch.
  2. My D game plan: Double cover and jam Edelman at the line. Take away their best threat ala BB. Every so often do a full house max reddogblitz on Tommy. Hit Tommy often even late if you have to. It'd be worth the 15 yards to knock him down a few times. Sure Tommy may burn us a few times, but he gets really erratic and mad when hit often. Disrupt their timing. It's all timing for them.
  3. * You need to score more points than they do.
  4. We'll be 4-0 and on to Tennessee.
  5. Everyone -1. I concede nothing. They're all HUGE.
  6. Since Coach McDermott and Coach Frazier have taken over, Tommy has thrown more picks to Buffalo than TD passes. 3 TDs 4 picks in 4 games. .
  7. Along with “Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, 1984, by George Orwell, Slaughter House Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck, Dante’s Inferno, and Night, by Elie Wiesel.” To be fair, why keep copies of 1984 on hand? It might remind the kids that they’re living it out first hand. Related: “The Problem with Canceling History,” as Laura Ingalls Wilder and her Little House on the Prairie are getting tossed down the Memory Hole. . Did they also burn "Fahrenheit 411"? Throw out all the Vonneguts? I read a short story by Kurt a while back where at some point in the future everyone would be made equal by the government to make things fair. If you were pretty, they would attach a few moles to your face. If you were fast and athletic you had to carry around weights in you pocket to slow you down. Orwell gets a lot of credit for predicting the future and rightly so, but Kurt was on top of it too.
  8. I propose we start a new thread called Thread Etiquette where we can discuss when to and when not to start a new thread. The punt return where Roberts got nothing and was mad reminded me of a post I read when we signed him that the great return he got for the Jets had a lot to do with the blocking he got. We won't get any big returns from him until we straighten that out.
  9. my life is going just fine thank you very much. top 10 according to who and by what criteria?
  10. Amen. I would like to see our D double cover and jam Edelman at the line on every play. Take a page out of BB's book, take away their biggest threat. And then also every so often single cover man to man the WRs and send everyone else after Brady on a jail break reddogblitz. One thing I know for certain is that if we only rush 3 or 4 and try to cover everyone, Tommy will eat our lunch. Seen it way too many times.
  11. I get what you're saying, but the rules put in by the league to play off the top the 10 in each conference is what I go by. That's all that really counts. And yes, the 7-9 Seahawks did beat the Drew Brees led Saints in the infamous "Beast Quake" game.
  12. Clowns legacy lives on. Fat on talent but thin on wins.
  13. But it's not called THE PROCESS like ours. Theirs is called cheating. And they're good at it. A +1 in the W column.
  14. It's not an election. It's an activity of a private club and they can do whatever they want. Or so Paul Krugman said in 2016 when the D's were in the midst of Throwing the primaries for Hillary's benefit.
  15. Nothing as anonymous on the internet.
  16. The D's should have nominated Ted Kennedy? If you say so. I remember 1980. He was 11 years post Chappaquidick. He had his wife who he was separated from travel with him for appearances sake. He was for socialized medicine before socialized medicine was cool. Would have played great with Reagan's I'm with the government and am here to help you routine. Not to mention his 2 brothers got their heads blown off. Many didn't even want him to run fearing another nut would try to make it a threefer. As the Senator pointed out, if he had driven a VW Beetle, he might have had a chance. But he didn't. He drove a boat instead
  17. I wouldn't. Sounds like a jinx waiting to happen.
  18. Seeing as to how both of our wins this year have come against teams that were worse than us last year (let that sink in for a minute), it's not unreasonable to wonder if we can beat good teams or not. I know I have had the same thought myself. But beating teams you are supposed to is what good teams do and Buffalo teams of the past have NOT DONE, so I am encouraged.
  19. I wanted us to try to get in FG range and get some points before the half and more on 1st possession of 2nd half. But I wasn't surprised. I've been watching football a long time and have seen this scenario play out many times. It's what coaches do for the most part. Sitting at home on our couch with buds watching the game being aggressive and going for it makes sense. If your career and dreams depend on decisions like this, you may think about it a little different. Bottom line, we won, so I'm good with all the decisions made in that game. Just win.
  20. I don't know if it's well run or not, but I get a lot of my care at the VA and it's excellent. And, I don't have to haggle with insurance companies over coverage. I don't have to wait long for appointments either. I can only speak to my experience. Your mileage may vary I suppose.
  21. Since the ACA passed with all D votes and 0 R votes, the Ds could have done whatever they wanted. Which is what they did. Think about that for a minute. The party of science.
  22. I'm going to disagree on the TV product being damn good. Technically and variety, yes, but entertainment not so much. The instant replay reviews and the refs standing around trying to figure out what the rules are is making it almost unwatchable. There was always too much lag time with all the time outs. But now it's ridiculous. Thank goodness I have TIVO and can fast forward through all that. College football is even worse.
