  1. No I'm not. Calm down Mr. WEO. I'm not saying Barkley is better and should play if Allen is ready. But, if Josh is out which I suspect, then I think Barkley could lead a more conservative offense with running the football and short timing drop back and throw passes that Matt is good at and we can win. We shouldn't need a ton of points because our D is stout. Most important thing, don't turn the football over. I don't understand why you're so down on Matt. Ever since he's been here he has done pretty well. Probably our best backup since Coach McDermott arrived. He's our guy this week probably. Let's win. Go BILLS !!
  2. Gotcha. Good point. But he didn't have any vs Jets, so that's 2 in 5 quarters.
  3. Me too. I just want to win. And, 20 points would be our 2nd highest point total of the year. Really we should be playing the style of offense you described instead of trying to run a fancy pass offense and turning the football over regularly. Which one? 3 TDs and 6 picks in 3 1/2 games and 4 fumbles is not "protecting the football" which you said Josh was better at than Barkley. What evidence could you possibly have?
  4. Someone had to take over. Walt Coleman retired.
  5. BINGO This one killed me. Backup QB in. Moving the ball. D is killing it. 12:00 left. A full 3 yards out. Don't get desperate. Trust your D. You'll get back down there. The last drive could have been totally different if all we needed was 3.
  6. I'm going to be interested to see if this continues. Coach McDermott has a monster D and just needs an offense to protect the football and score a few points to win (even against the defending SB champs). The AFC is weak this year 1/4 of the way in. We are one game ahead of everyone else in WC right now. I'm thinking Coach McDermott doesn't want to blow this D baby sitting a turn over machine 2nd year QB. I suspect we may see a more conservative run/short passing/protect the football type offense and win games with the D. It worked in 2017. It's who he is I think. As Josh progresses he can throw more passes.
  7. I hear and read this often. Do these guys really have such frail egos that is they get benched in one game their confidence is ruined for their career? I always hear jocks talking about overcoming adversity and improving after being told by someone they couldn't do it. Are QBs different?
  8. you're gonna have to explain this one to me.
  9. That football hit SJ in the hands past the sticks but he dropped it. Coach Moron threw his visor and I knew SJ's days in Buffalo were numbered.
  10. Was just responding to the assertion that Bill Bellyache always makes young QBs look bad.
  11. His picture on nfl.com shows him in a Cincinnati jersey. Maybe I was thinking of when he played for Bears and threw 8 TDs and 14 Ints in 6 starts. Yeah I know Sir Duke is on PS for now, but a dime is a dime and some of them have come against real Bills DBs. Threw a couple yesterday. And, I'm not even saying he should start, just arguing against the idea that he can't get any better and sucks.
  12. In EJ's first game as a pro he faced the Patsies** and we almost won. Lost by 23-21. EJ was 18 for 27 for 150 and 2 TDs and ZERO picks. If EJ had had Josh's D no doubt we would have won that game. This was Josh's second game vs NE and he's not a rookie. Sounds like you're making excuses.
  13. I don't know. I watched him a little when he played for Cincinatti and he was horrible. He has played way better for us than he did with them. And from the highlights of him dropping dimes on Sir Duke, I think he's improved. Again, not saying I want him to start, but I don't buy that he can't improve on anything and is all he can ever be.
  14. Not saying Matt should start, but what makes you so sure about that?
  15. Barkley's over rated ness will likely falter if and or when he has a bad game. We're still waiting for that. He had 8 yards per attempt. He was blitzed heavily but held his own. Besides, back up QB that has hardly played is ALWAYS the most popular guy on the team . It's great that Josh can make plays and lead us in comebacks vs bad teams. If you're gonna beat good teams, you can't dig yourself a 13 point hole as we saw yesterday. And, he's going to continue to get injured If he doesn't either run less of slide more. Even though he got clocked on an illegal hit, it's his fault for putting himself in that spot because that's exactly what you'll get. We saw it last year and again yesterday. we saw it with Hotrod as well. We better have a good backup. Josh has had success with the short to mid passing game which seemed to be missing yesterday. Stick to that. His long ball is a crap shoot. This btw is NOT an endorsement for starting Barkley over Josh. Only an observation.
  16. so far, McDermott and Beane have taken a team that was exactly .500 (24-24) the 3 previous years before they got here to exactly .500 over 2 1/4 seasons (18-18). I'm hoping for better, but it does continue a trend. Coach Gailey's teams had decent O but historically bad D. Coach Marrone's teams stunk on O but were lights out on D followed by Rex' top ten in scoring Os and horrendous Ds. Rinse and repeat. But we're 3-1 with many winnable games left in a down AFC year and hoping for the beST. on to Tennessee. GO BILLS !!!
  17. Reminds me of how people wigged out when he said "bigly" but come to find out. it is a real word.
  18. I've only been a Buffalo fan since 1996 so I'll only rate from then on. 2017 - So GREAT to be back to playoffs after so long. 1999 - We win AFC and maybe SB if Flutie starts vs Tennessee, but still a fun season. 1998 - Flute breaks out and it's back to winning after a couple of lack luster years. Another reason to hate Jimmie Johnson. 1996 - First year as a fan and we go to playoffs and should have won. 2014 - Looked like Coach Moron had us almost back only to be a quitter the next day.
  19. Just win. I don't care how you do it.
  20. If Josh can continue to play well and here's the key, if we win say 60 - 70% of our games, he absolutely will. The NFL love to pump the young QBs.
  21. Perhaps, but "almost all the current PPP" isn't running for prez and had no say in the matter. Uncle Joe is and did, and he blew it.
  22. I've known Biden is REAL dumb since he got snookered by W on the WMD thing.
  23. Elizabeth bought a Mutual Fund and one of the companies that was invested in by the Mutual Fund vendor was CCA . So that's supporting private prisons? OK. Has anyone here ever looked at their 401K mutual fund to see if they agree with all the companies the Mutual Fund participates in?
