  1. Also, seems like a bit of a head case wouldn't be surprised if he slid to the 2nd round. Height is also an issue we already have a smaller QB who struggles seeing the field. Would Dennison be creative enough to cater an offense to Mayfield I have my doubts. I think the organization prefers bigger QBs with traditional measurables.
  2. If Darnold doesn't come out. Cleveland will probably draft Rosen# 1 at which point I wouldn't be interested in trading that far up for any of the other QBs.
  3. Haha Church of Tyrod.
  4. Hughes hasn't done much since Mario Williams left. No skill positions early in the draft next year other than QB. The top offseason priorities should be DT, RT, DE, and RG.
  5. The season was contingent on the defense rebounding from the Rex era and the offense maintaining the same level it had performed previously. Both hasn't happened in the past few weeks and as an result we have lost games. Both the offensive and defensive lines needs to be fixed next year. I wouldn't want to put any rookie QB behind the line we have right now. Even if we draft a QB early next year I am reconsidering keeping Taylor for another year as I just don't see this team being close. For me a rookie should be put in if you have a strong team that can carry him while he develops and gains experience like the situation Roethlisberger was in with the Steelers.
  6. You must not read all the game day threads then because I have seen Tyrod criticized for every throw he makes both good and bad.
  7. McCoy wouldn't be able to do anything this year anyway. If they fired Dennison they would promote someone in house for the rest of the season. So I wouldn't expect McCoy to be picked up until the offseason if McDermott is even interested in making a change.
  8. Yep and it is on the offensive staff to find ways to beat what the other team is doing and get creative with the plays being called. How about giving your starting qb the option to audible once in a while. This offensive staff has done Taylor no favors by trying to make him into something he is not a pocket passer. The defense was the key to turning around the season and they have failed so maybe McDermott needs to spend more time fixing that first.
  9. Taylor is the bridge to the next guy nothing more. Terrible decision by McDermott to pull him for a rookie and those are the kind of decisions that can make you lose a locker room real quick. The offensive line is terrible and Peterman was put in a tough spot when there are holes all over this team. Although I would prefer to keep starting Peterman as I feel the season is lost anyway. It would be a hard sell to the rest of the locker room so I think they will go back to Taylor next week.
  10. With this defense doubt Taylor would have won the game anyway. Trading away Dareus mid season for a nothing pick will be a decision they regret. With how the season has unfolded, I would go back to Peterson next week. I did not agree with benching Taylor while still in contention and I am sure the Vets on the team would agree. However, what is done is done and the season is lost as this was a must win game. However, with how this team has been playing the most important objective now is to see what you have in Peterman. Need to see if you can even count on him to be the backup next year or if you need to sign another veteran. What I wouldn't do is pick up Taylor's option and try to trade him. If you are going to stick with Dennison then you need to find QB who fits system they are trying to run.
  11. Reason why the blame against Tyrod for the failings of the entire team was stupid. Benching Tyrod was a desperate move by the Bills. They stuck him in a system that does not play to his strengths and forced him to be something he is not a pocket passer. Team was built to run the ball and stop the run with Tyrod being the game manager who didn't screw up. I disagreed with the Dareus trade and felt he would come around when the team was winning. Now with the season lost let the rookie take his lumps and try to get some of his confidence back. Not point in bringing Taylor back in as the team needs to move on if they plan to keep running Dennison's offense.
  12. Problem has been the poor play calling and offensive line play the entire time. Let's not pretend Taylor had the full complement of guys other than last week against the Saints when the entire team played terribly. When you have guys in your face right after the snap I would expect it to be difficult to find the open guy to make plays. No point in putting Tyrod back in as this team is not going anywhere this year. Might as well give Peterman an audition and see how he performs. However, both offensive and defensive lines need to be rebuilt in the offseason.
  13. It will be interesting to see how this move on making Peterman the starter plays out in the locker room. There is potential for it to definitely divide people especially if the rookie struggles. Here is hoping we don't have another Rob Johnson/Doug Flutie QB controversy on our hands. Definite risk on McDermott's part and we will see if the organization's gamble pays off. I got to believe they didn't fully expect to compete this year and them jumping out to 5-2 surprised even them. However, after falling back down to earth they probably realize what this team's ceiling is and it isn't good enough. I think that is why the move to Peterman was made today.
  14. Dareus looks to be settling in with his new team. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/jaguars/2017/11/14/marcell-dareus-jaguars-bills-open-arms-trade-jacksonville-buffalo-state-taxese/863013001/
  15. Other than for injury, I don't think we will be seeing Peterman until the Bills are eliminated from playoff contention at which point they may choose to evaluate him. However, I think they are going to ride and die with Taylor this year in order to determine his long term future.
  16. I don't think they are in love with Taylor but they believe they can win with him despite his limitations by having a strong running attack and defense. However, we haven't had those the past 2 weeks and as a result have gotten blown out. The key to turning around the season will be in those 2 areas. Taylor is pretty consistent in what you are going to get 220 yds passing and 1-2 tds every game.
  17. Both lines need to be rebuilt in the offseason. Can't run the ball and can't stop the run is a recipe for disaster. I would start by signing Deandre Coleman back next week and stick him in there on running downs. Need a bigger body to take up blockers and occupy space. Guys are getting blown off the ball it is ridiculous. Offense is a much tougher fix, Glenn not being healthy has hurt the continuity on the line. Dawkins couldn't challenge for starting RT as an result. Not a fan of Woods being resigned when Groy played well in his absence and will probably be gone next year. Mills and Ducasse should be gone next year and I hope they take Castillo with them. Tyrod is most likely out next year as he is a poor fit for this scheme. Bills have a lot of draft picks but a lot of holes as well. I would let the draft fall to me and see if there is QB worth drafting early.
  18. Definitely worth investigating and seeing what the Colt's interest would be in trading Luck. As long as the Bills do their due diligence and the doctor's sign off on that shoulder would be willing to give up a bunch of picks to make that trade. My only hope is that he is not damaged goods now as there is no way a team would be willing to trade away a Franchise QB but the Colts have been pretty dumb with personnel decisions and the owner is a nutcase. I just can't see anything coming from this though.
  19. You realize football is a team sport right. I have watched Eli his entire career. He was surrounded by good teams and when they won those super bowls a championship level defense and strong running game. I wouldn't put Eli in the same category as Brady, Peyton, etc.. Eli will end up in the hall with the stats he put up and the rings he won as he should be. If Eli played in Buffalo with the teams here he would not have had the same level of success he had with the Giants pure and simple. 50k yards is less impressive now than in previous generations as the game has changed. It is much easier for offenses to put up video game type numbers now than ever before.
  20. Bills should take notice of what KC is doing this year and try incorporating similar concepts on offense. Alex Smith is experiencing a renaissance and they are catching a lot of teams off guard. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/9/30/16387704/kansas-city-chiefs-offense-alex-smith-kareem-hunt-xs-os
  21. Dareus always came off as an big immature kid who hadn't grown up. He was not used to being responsible for himself and as an result ended up being moved for not being a fit on this team. Wish we didn't sell low and kept him for the remainder of the season as I think he could have helped this team. However, that is water under the bridge now and wish him good luck with his new team.
  22. I am sure talks don't pick up until closer to the deadline. I think TY Hilton fits the mold of a receiver who would benefit from Tyrod's game which is the deep ball. A 2nd for Landry is too high since he is able to walk away at end of the year unless franchised.
  23. Ajayi is a physical runner who the Bills had trouble containing. There is no downside to him getting moved to the NFC. It definitely helps us this year when we face them.
  24. Agree I don't think we will see anything on the Dareus front until the offseason. Bills should go to his agent and look to restructure deal after the season. Then if Dareus wants out have his agent push for a trade.
  25. Well that depends on what Peterson has shown them in practice. If the coaches think he can step in and replace Tyrod then I would be willing to move on next year. However, that would depend if they are planning to draft a QB early in next year's draft as well.
