  1. At least now it shows whether the article is locked or not. So there is really no reason to complain anymore.
  2. Winston got hit by the Fitzpatrick curse. https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2017/10/16/16481786/ryan-fitzpatrick-curse-jameis-winston-buccaneers-injury-nfl
  3. Because Peterman hasn't earned it. How would it look to the rest of the team that a QB with a winning record has been benched for rookie QB who hasn't proven anything in this league. McDermott could have went that route in the beginning of the year when Tyrod got hurt and Peterman flashed in the preseason. They know he isn't ready. Tyrod has the support of the locker room and no one secretly has been clamoring for Peterman to play. Why? Because they know Tyrod gives them the best chance to win this year. Peterman needs to keep preparing and be ready for his chance. If it happens he needs to play well to keep Tyrod on the bench and from getting his job back. Until then it is Tyrod's team and the team should be trying to play to his strengths. They need to figure out the run game to alleviate pressure off the QB and opening up throwing lanes by moving the pocket more. Bringing back the read option would also be a start. Regardless if anyone agrees or not the offense was built on running the ball and we can't do that effectively so it shouldn't be any surprise to see the offense struggling.
  4. To maximize what Tyrod does best which is his long ball we needed a team of small fast WRs in the Desean jackson mold. Hit a few long balls forces teams to stop playing 8 in the box which helps out the running game. Tyrod is a poor fit for what Dennison is doing and they need to move on at the end of the year. Offseason priority should be drafting a QB early, fixing the right side of the offensive line, and adding to the skill positions at WR/RB/TE.
  5. Eli has been average for most his career. He got hot during the playoffs and had a strong defense which got them those 2 super bowl wins. I have not seen a better job done against Tom Brady than what the Giants did to him those games. It is funny though to hear all the excuses come out in defense of him but Tyrod is treated differently here. We haven't been able to run the ball effectively this year and as a result has hampered the entire offense which is on the coaching staff. I hope the bye is spent reviewing on what worked last year and incorporating more zone read plays in the offense. Tyrod is a poor fit for what Dennison is trying accomplish so I hope adjustments are made that better fit Tyrod's skillset. However, I would move on from Tyrod at the end of the year and draft a qb early next year as you need a creative play caller to limit Tyrod's weaknesses and highlight his strengths.
  6. Whaley gets a lot of the blame but I have to believe Rex had a lot of influence on personnel decisions. Just like McDermott had control over this past draft. Lawson and Ragland scream as guys Rex wanted on his defense.
  7. Tyrod is the bridge to the next QB. Both the coaching staff and FO have to know this. Now is not the time to put in Peterman with no talent at the skill positions. You are setting him up for failure before he can even get started. Tyrod should be the starter unless he gets injured or the season is over and the playoffs is out of reach. If the coaching staff feels like Peterman is ready then you put him in and get some film on tape for next year. Also, if you start Peterman coming out of the bye the veterans on this team will know that you are throwing up the white flag on this season. Veterans on this team still support Tyrod and know he gives them the best chance to win. It would be like when Losman came in and was named the starter without earning it. The team didn't respect the decision and he could never recover and win their respect. Peterman needs to keep preparing and be ready when his chance comes in the event Tyrod gets hurt similar to what Brady did when Bledsoe got hurt. He got his chance and never gave starter job back.
  8. If we can't effectively run the ball we will struggle on offense. I would sign Rod Streeter if healthy and promote brandon reilly. Tate was our best wr today which is all anyone needs to know. Not sure why Andre Holmes is on this team he is terrible. I would cut him now.
  9. Cincy is going to be desperate to keep their season alive. This is normally the type of game the Bills end up losing previously. Very interested to see how this team comes out after a big win last week.
  10. We need Dareus to come around Thorton is not good at stopping the run. I am hoping Kyle stays on top of him and winning rubs off.
  11. Looks like we are making the same mistake on offense this year.
  12. Funny how the NFL is letting Elliott play week 1. I am sure an opening weekend prime time Sunday Night Football contest against the Giants did not factor in the decision in any way.
  13. Weird timing with all these releases with the final preseason game left to go. I assume the starters are going to see minimal to no time on the field so you would think you would want enough healthy bodies to make it through the game.
  14. Biggest issue to me has been the penalties. That was the 1st thing I was hoping to see a change with on this team. However, there has been no evidence to the contrary that we have gotten a handle on that yet. It has been the same issue year after year with different coaching staffs.
  15. How many slot wrs does this team really need? It wouldn't hurt to find someone with speed on the outside to keep defenses honest and fits Tyrod's game which is the deep ball.
  16. Yes if the offensive line can't buy the QB any time it won't matter who is playing WR. I am hoping there are some cuts from teams with strong offensive lines like the Cowboys we can look to bring in as the depth at that position is mediocre.
  17. The other thing I noticed was that they were keeping Tyrod in the pocket and forcing him to throw. Come regular season expect Dennison to have him on the move more to assist the passing game.
  18. Tyrod is Alex Smith 2.0 with better legs no point in making lateral moves.
  19. I think the Bills know what they have in Tyrod which is not a Franchise QB. They are setting their sights on a QB in the 2018 draft. Even if the guys we got back end up being slightly worse than Watkins and Darby the picks were worth it.
  20. If the Bills are not in contention come week 10 then the option is definitely on the table no point in holding onto to these guys if the playoffs are a long shot.
  21. I would still like to give Tyrod as many options as possible so there are no more questions regarding his long term viability as a starting QB. However, I wouldn't mind using cap space to find a RT worth a damn that could replace Mills. Safety depth is also concern there are a lot of question marks but I want to see them play in a preseason game first.
  22. The threat of the Bills leaving is something that can be used to get public money to put towards a new stadium. It is business tactic to create leverage so obviously Pegula is vague about it. He can't come out and say we aren't leaving regardless of what happens when the lease is up. Hopefully they work out a deal that is beneficial to both parties.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if Rex wasn't calling for both Lawson and Ragland. Maybe Whaley agreed or maybe he didn't but no doubt Rex had a big influence over that draft.
  24. More of a re-tooling vs rebuild. If it was a full on rebuild which I wasn't against if the team decided to go in that direction. Guys like Tyrod, McCoy, Kyle Williams would no longer be on the team. We wouldn't have spent money on FBs and a Kicker.
