Gus Bradley as DC + Offensive minded HC=Immediate Success
billieve420 replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a Seattle type defense with fit in well with the type of talent we have on this team especially the D-line. I think we need a head coach who has proven he can develop a QB and has a system that plays to their strengths while minimizing any weaknesses. -
It makes no sense for the Pegula's to inform Rex ahead of time he is being fired. Regardless of rumors floating around. Now Rex may have an idea that he is going to be let go after the season but I doubt anyone has informed him of such. The time to fire Rex was after the loss to Pittsburgh. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bills ran the table and get to 9-7. We are the king of the meaningless garbage wins. I don't see how you can fire a coach with a winning record. If team loses 1 of the next 2 good chance he is out. However. if team finishes 9-7 I have a hard time believing this coaching staff is getting fired.

The answer to RT - Cordy Glenn

Mills is terrible upgrade at RT is needed either via FA or draft. -
If Rex finishes 9-7 does he still get fired? I don't think so the time to fire him was today. I have a feeling he is brought back next year unless there is a total collapse. The Bills are good for the garbage wins which don't prove anything and serve no purpose.

Once Again I Have To Agree With Sully

It had been reported that Whaley wanted Hue Jackson as HC. The Pegulas and Russ Brandon were impressed with Rex and made call to go with him. -
AFC scores... that Oaktown game really hurt
billieve420 replied to r00tabaga's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The last team I am worried about was the Dolphins and this game proves it. They are overrated and had number of games where it could have gone the other way. Shutdown their run game and I like the Bills chances come December. -
It is not going to stop calls from going against us anyway. The Bills are irrevelanf in the NFL and judgment calls will go against this team more often than not.

Gilmore needs to go
billieve420 replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think his contract is playing a huge role in his on field play whether he admits it or not. Looks like he is playing not to get hurt and it is hurting the team. Not sure why the coverage in general has been so poor this year and not just Gilmore. -

Man I can't believe it is Oct. already. For some reason thought game was in November. -
Stephen A Smith- responds to last week's critique
billieve420 replied to dawolv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the grand scheme of things this victory does little to prove whether this Bill's team is legit. However, not dropping to 0-2 in the AFC East was big. Beating Belicheck was a bonus, him slamming the tablet was hilarious. The real test comes end of November with Brady back at the helm and the Bills at home. Winning that game will go a long way towards proving to me this team is for real. The next 3 games are manageable. The Rams have a very good defense and it will be a close game. It we can stay at .500 or above till we get to the back stretch of our schedule we have a decent shot to break the non-playoff streak. However, this team is real good at giving false hope before letting you down. Rex needs to have this team prepared every week like they were for the Patriots. -
Players can't seem to handle the volume of plays. Is that coaching, talent who knows. However, I agree with the need to simplify things until the team demonstrates they can execute at a high level before incorporating new things. I hope Whaley takes a long look at the Patriots model for drafting new talent. They focus heavily on smarts and it seems to work for them. They can shake off injuries and plug people in and still perform at a high level. Whatever they are doing right is what we should be doing. If Rex doesn't turn it around and this team fails to make it to the playoffs he needs to be fired. I wouldn't be against poaching someone from New England's staff just to piss off Belicheck and maybe we get lucky.

The start of the tire fire. Who should be held to blame for the poor defensive performance yesterday? -

Getting screwed by the Refs early great. -
https://twitter.com/fieldyates/status/765621371447734272 This tweet states that contract does not have void language, which if true is a blunder by the FO for a substance abuse related suspension.

Dude was overweight last year and was terrible. At least with Fred he will be a leader in that locker room and can still play a part time role. I rather bring back Fred for the veteran minimum. He was one of the best blocking backs and 3rd down role would suit him well. I just don't see that happening as the team has moved on and don't want to deal with having to cut him again if he is done.

USA Today Ranks NFL Head Coaches

Not sure how Marvin Lewis is ranked lower than Ryan. He has built a perennial playoff contender. Rex is higher by a few spots than I thought he would be. -

His throwing motion is terrible. For me this is a guy you take a flyer on late late in the draft. For every Philip Rivers there is going to be a ton of busts. Issues with throwing mechanics and not a very strong arm gives me concern for a guy like this in Buffalo.

Is McGowan the next Jason Peters?

Major project is going to go undrafted but he could possibly turn into something down the line if he is willing to put in the work.
