Guess the 178th pick!

QB Levi Brown -
Bills will not take a QB in Rd 2
billieve420 replied to mary owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB Levi Brown in the 6th is my guess at someone the Bills may target later in the draft. Next year's QB class is going to be better and if Brown is a bust no one is going to care about a 6th rounder not making the team. I think in the 2nd the Bills must target OT or NT. -
Big thanks to the Broncos for saving us from making a dumb move and trying to trade up for Tebow
-
I think the Dolphins are locks to take him now either in the 1st or 2nd.
-
I could definitely see the Raiders pulling the trigger on Iupati.
-
No to McCoy like other people mentioned more of a West coast QB and I think he will struggle throwing the ball once the weather starts turning bad in Buffalo.

Schefter on Mike and Mike.....Bills/Tebow
billieve420 replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills are willing to trade back for Tebow and select him in the 1st. Then they better be willing to trade down from #9 to pick up a extra 2nd round pick. Makes no sense to be reaching for a guy no matter how much they like him. -
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/marvez-...training-041610 Too many softies on this team. Someone needs to toughen them up who better than Randy Couture. Seems like a good team bonding exercise while helping guys out with conditioning and new techniques.

Which would you rather have ?...Marshall at $10 mil
billieve420 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a better comparision would be who would you rather have Marshall or Lee Evans who is earning roughly the same amount of money per year. I think hands down you would go with Brandon Marshall. In the later rounds I hope the Bills are looking at a WR who fits that mold like a Andre Johnson/Brandon Marshall type which would be the perfect complement to the speed of Evans on the outside. -
Charles Robinson (Yahoo Sports)

If it turns out to be Lynch to the Lions it better not be straight up for Julian Peterson. Peterson and a swap of 2nd round picks then we got a deal. We move to the top of the 2nd round where we would hold the cards in terms of getting the player we want or making another trade with another team. -
Say No To Anthony Davis in Round 1
billieve420 replied to Bring Back Kelly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that it means much but Anthony Davis met with the Bills already. Scouts thought he did pretty well and probably solidified his position as a mid 1st round pick. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/03/f...an_anthony.html -
We Definitely Don't Want to Draft Colt McCoy
billieve420 replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are alot of questions regarding McCoy. More of a West Coast QB, questionable arm strength, injury concerns due to size, and is only 6'1. That should be enough to scare anyone off in my opinion and doesn't seem like a fit for Buffalo. -
QB Draft Prospect to Visit Buffalo
billieve420 replied to daveydanceswithwolves's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is 1 pick I can get behind in the 4th-5th. Athletic, strong arm, can make plays with his feet. Will need some time to get acclimated to the pro system and there are some accuracy issues that need to be worked out. However, most of the QBs after the top 3 Bradford, Clausen, and McCoy are project QBs and should be drafted in the middle rounds. I can't believe Buddy will draft Tebow in the first 2 rounds and the only way we draft him is if he does slide. -
I would be doing everything in my power to trade Schobel if he decides to return and Kelsay they are bad fits for this defense. Slow footed guys who are not equipped to play the OLB position.

Bradford's workout leaves crowd in awe.
billieve420 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why was Josh Reed catching passes at Bradford's pro day. Is it a agent thing where he and bradford share the same one? I could see if Reed was a former Sooner and was helping out but he went to LSU. -
This team isn't going anywhere even if we had a pro bowl QB like Mcnabb back there with the garbage o-line we have. What good is it having him here for 1yr because he is never going to sign a extension. We need to stop looking for the short term quick fix and build this team from the ground up. Buddy is going to make his money come draft day and this is a throwaway year both for the GM and HC in my opinion. This year is about making the transition to the 3-4 and identifying the long term answer at QB whether it is someone currently on the roster or not.

Culpepper wants to play for the Bills
billieve420 replied to Numark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He will still be waiting to sign come training camp and we should be in no rush to sign him. In case someone goes down or we decide not to draft a QB this year. I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a 1yr deal and let him compete. If he doesn't win the job or play well we can cut him before the season starts. -
If he is somehow available when we pick in the 2nd round I am taking him no matter what. Our god awful run defense improves 10 spots just with him on board in my opinion. I think he will make other players around him better like Mcclain who is a good player but benefited from Cody drawing multiple people and allowing people to make plays.
-
If we had a team on the cusp of being great and super bowl contenders I would definitely being interested in making a trade for McNabb. However, this team has so many holes even with Mcnabb here it wouldn't guarantee anything so the cost outweighs the positives.
-
If Tebow is available in the 4-5th round I wouldn't be that upset if the team takes a flyer on him. However, there is no way I am taking him in the first 3 rounds. We need starters/ 1st year contributors at LT, NT, and LB to come out and and make a significant contribution this year. It doesn't appear we are going to be making any major moves in FA and taking chances on projects that will need a few years to develop is risky.

Is Jared Gaither worth the 9th pick?
billieve420 replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow I must have forgot about that which makes it a even bigger joke then. With Ed Reed possibly retiring safety could be a need position for them. -
Is Jared Gaither worth the 9th pick?
billieve420 replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would offer Whitner + 2nd round pick next year for Gaither and see if Baltimore will bite. They did after all gave us a 3rd and 5th for Mcgahee which I thought was an absolute steal. -
Stafford had Culpepper to compete against but proved he was ready to be the starter. If he didn't the Lions would have went with Culpepper. The last thing I want to see is bringing another rookie QB in and throwing him to the wolves. See JP and Trent for where their careers went. People are like yeah support him but a couple bad games and people want to see the back up. We then start this yo yo process all over again yanking guys in and out of the lineup hindering their development. Fix the lines first next year is probably going to be another losing season. I would rather pick a QB from next year's draft class anyway. Even if we draft a rookie QB there is no way I would have him start right away and would rather have them sit their rookie year. Learn the system and then compete for the starting job the following season. What good is it going to do if he is running for his life every snap and looking up at the sky flat on his back.
