  1. Dareus looks to be settling in with his new team. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/jaguars/2017/11/14/marcell-dareus-jaguars-bills-open-arms-trade-jacksonville-buffalo-state-taxese/863013001/
  2. Other than for injury, I don't think we will be seeing Peterman until the Bills are eliminated from playoff contention at which point they may choose to evaluate him. However, I think they are going to ride and die with Taylor this year in order to determine his long term future.
  3. I don't think they are in love with Taylor but they believe they can win with him despite his limitations by having a strong running attack and defense. However, we haven't had those the past 2 weeks and as a result have gotten blown out. The key to turning around the season will be in those 2 areas. Taylor is pretty consistent in what you are going to get 220 yds passing and 1-2 tds every game.
  4. Both lines need to be rebuilt in the offseason. Can't run the ball and can't stop the run is a recipe for disaster. I would start by signing Deandre Coleman back next week and stick him in there on running downs. Need a bigger body to take up blockers and occupy space. Guys are getting blown off the ball it is ridiculous. Offense is a much tougher fix, Glenn not being healthy has hurt the continuity on the line. Dawkins couldn't challenge for starting RT as an result. Not a fan of Woods being resigned when Groy played well in his absence and will probably be gone next year. Mills and Ducasse should be gone next year and I hope they take Castillo with them. Tyrod is most likely out next year as he is a poor fit for this scheme. Bills have a lot of draft picks but a lot of holes as well. I would let the draft fall to me and see if there is QB worth drafting early.
  5. Definitely worth investigating and seeing what the Colt's interest would be in trading Luck. As long as the Bills do their due diligence and the doctor's sign off on that shoulder would be willing to give up a bunch of picks to make that trade. My only hope is that he is not damaged goods now as there is no way a team would be willing to trade away a Franchise QB but the Colts have been pretty dumb with personnel decisions and the owner is a nutcase. I just can't see anything coming from this though.
  6. You realize football is a team sport right. I have watched Eli his entire career. He was surrounded by good teams and when they won those super bowls a championship level defense and strong running game. I wouldn't put Eli in the same category as Brady, Peyton, etc.. Eli will end up in the hall with the stats he put up and the rings he won as he should be. If Eli played in Buffalo with the teams here he would not have had the same level of success he had with the Giants pure and simple. 50k yards is less impressive now than in previous generations as the game has changed. It is much easier for offenses to put up video game type numbers now than ever before.
  7. Bills should take notice of what KC is doing this year and try incorporating similar concepts on offense. Alex Smith is experiencing a renaissance and they are catching a lot of teams off guard. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/9/30/16387704/kansas-city-chiefs-offense-alex-smith-kareem-hunt-xs-os
  8. Dareus always came off as an big immature kid who hadn't grown up. He was not used to being responsible for himself and as an result ended up being moved for not being a fit on this team. Wish we didn't sell low and kept him for the remainder of the season as I think he could have helped this team. However, that is water under the bridge now and wish him good luck with his new team.
  9. I am sure talks don't pick up until closer to the deadline. I think TY Hilton fits the mold of a receiver who would benefit from Tyrod's game which is the deep ball. A 2nd for Landry is too high since he is able to walk away at end of the year unless franchised.
  10. Ajayi is a physical runner who the Bills had trouble containing. There is no downside to him getting moved to the NFC. It definitely helps us this year when we face them.
  11. Agree I don't think we will see anything on the Dareus front until the offseason. Bills should go to his agent and look to restructure deal after the season. Then if Dareus wants out have his agent push for a trade.
  12. Well that depends on what Peterson has shown them in practice. If the coaches think he can step in and replace Tyrod then I would be willing to move on next year. However, that would depend if they are planning to draft a QB early in next year's draft as well.
  13. At least now it shows whether the article is locked or not. So there is really no reason to complain anymore.
  14. Winston got hit by the Fitzpatrick curse. https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2017/10/16/16481786/ryan-fitzpatrick-curse-jameis-winston-buccaneers-injury-nfl
  15. Because Peterman hasn't earned it. How would it look to the rest of the team that a QB with a winning record has been benched for rookie QB who hasn't proven anything in this league. McDermott could have went that route in the beginning of the year when Tyrod got hurt and Peterman flashed in the preseason. They know he isn't ready. Tyrod has the support of the locker room and no one secretly has been clamoring for Peterman to play. Why? Because they know Tyrod gives them the best chance to win this year. Peterman needs to keep preparing and be ready for his chance. If it happens he needs to play well to keep Tyrod on the bench and from getting his job back. Until then it is Tyrod's team and the team should be trying to play to his strengths. They need to figure out the run game to alleviate pressure off the QB and opening up throwing lanes by moving the pocket more. Bringing back the read option would also be a start. Regardless if anyone agrees or not the offense was built on running the ball and we can't do that effectively so it shouldn't be any surprise to see the offense struggling.
  16. To maximize what Tyrod does best which is his long ball we needed a team of small fast WRs in the Desean jackson mold. Hit a few long balls forces teams to stop playing 8 in the box which helps out the running game. Tyrod is a poor fit for what Dennison is doing and they need to move on at the end of the year. Offseason priority should be drafting a QB early, fixing the right side of the offensive line, and adding to the skill positions at WR/RB/TE.
  17. Eli has been average for most his career. He got hot during the playoffs and had a strong defense which got them those 2 super bowl wins. I have not seen a better job done against Tom Brady than what the Giants did to him those games. It is funny though to hear all the excuses come out in defense of him but Tyrod is treated differently here. We haven't been able to run the ball effectively this year and as a result has hampered the entire offense which is on the coaching staff. I hope the bye is spent reviewing on what worked last year and incorporating more zone read plays in the offense. Tyrod is a poor fit for what Dennison is trying accomplish so I hope adjustments are made that better fit Tyrod's skillset. However, I would move on from Tyrod at the end of the year and draft a qb early next year as you need a creative play caller to limit Tyrod's weaknesses and highlight his strengths.
  18. Whaley gets a lot of the blame but I have to believe Rex had a lot of influence on personnel decisions. Just like McDermott had control over this past draft. Lawson and Ragland scream as guys Rex wanted on his defense.
  19. Tyrod is the bridge to the next QB. Both the coaching staff and FO have to know this. Now is not the time to put in Peterman with no talent at the skill positions. You are setting him up for failure before he can even get started. Tyrod should be the starter unless he gets injured or the season is over and the playoffs is out of reach. If the coaching staff feels like Peterman is ready then you put him in and get some film on tape for next year. Also, if you start Peterman coming out of the bye the veterans on this team will know that you are throwing up the white flag on this season. Veterans on this team still support Tyrod and know he gives them the best chance to win. It would be like when Losman came in and was named the starter without earning it. The team didn't respect the decision and he could never recover and win their respect. Peterman needs to keep preparing and be ready when his chance comes in the event Tyrod gets hurt similar to what Brady did when Bledsoe got hurt. He got his chance and never gave starter job back.
  20. If we can't effectively run the ball we will struggle on offense. I would sign Rod Streeter if healthy and promote brandon reilly. Tate was our best wr today which is all anyone needs to know. Not sure why Andre Holmes is on this team he is terrible. I would cut him now.
  21. Cincy is going to be desperate to keep their season alive. This is normally the type of game the Bills end up losing previously. Very interested to see how this team comes out after a big win last week.
  22. We need Dareus to come around Thorton is not good at stopping the run. I am hoping Kyle stays on top of him and winning rubs off.
  23. Looks like we are making the same mistake on offense this year.
  24. Funny how the NFL is letting Elliott play week 1. I am sure an opening weekend prime time Sunday Night Football contest against the Giants did not factor in the decision in any way.
  25. Weird timing with all these releases with the final preseason game left to go. I assume the starters are going to see minimal to no time on the field so you would think you would want enough healthy bodies to make it through the game.
