Bradford will be the Available Viking QB
billieve420 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No to Bradford a guy who end up just collecting money to not play since he is injured all the time. The Quarterback on the Vikings I would be really interested in would be Kyle Sloter if he ever got released. However, I don't see them letting him go. I think they franchise either Keenum or Bridgewater most likely Keenum. Then try to work out short term deal for Bridgewater with incentives if he becomes the starter. Bradford walks and Sloter ends up as the #3 next year. The wildcard is if someone is willing to overpay for Bridgewater and given his injury would be quite risky. -
The coaching staff got this team to over perform which based on talent alone was a major positive. For once we didn’t shoot ourselves in the foot and played smart football. This draft and FA will be crucial to continued success. QB is a major need. Front 7 on defense needs to be overhauled. Right side of the offensive line needs upgrading. #2 WR with speed and RB to replace Tolbert are addition positions that need addressing as well. #2 CB also maybe a need if Gaines isn’t retained. I just can’t see McDermott/Bean mortgaging the future to trade into the top 5 for a QB group people are saying are not as good as the 3 from last year Trubisky/Watson/Mahomes. Can they move up a few spots if the guy they want starts to slide then yes I can see them making that move. However, I don’t see them giving multiple #1s to reach for someone.

It is hard to win consistently with a Qb like Taylor or a Bortles despite all the rhetoric about him since he won a play off game yesterday. You need a lot of things to go right for for them to be successful namely strong defense and running game. You have to continue to search for a upgrade while they hold things down. That is what I expect the Bills to do they will look to FA and the draft for upgrades. -
How exactly is Tyrod responsible for either Roman or Lynn getting fired? I am sure Roman getting fired had nothing to do with calls coming in late and players being unhappy with the play calling in addition to the 500 yds given up on defense against the Jets. Bills were avg on offense and put up over 20 pts without a run game that day. Lynn was interim HC after Rex mailed in his 2nd opportunity by turning over control to his brother. Lynn interviewed and didn’t get the HC job here which went to McDermott.

That was the rumor if McDaniels got HC job that Daboll was a potential replacement in New England. http://www.weei.com/blogs/ryan-hannable/brian-daboll-who-was-potential-josh-mcdaniels-replacement-hired-bills-offensive

They didnt have Ryan Shazier the heart of their defense this game and that side of the ball has struggled since then. Taylors stats from last year 15/25 228 yds 2 TD 1 int. Not seeing major difference from what Bortles did today. Reason Bills lost last year Bell 38 carries 236 yds and 3 tds and not being able to run the ball effectively against their D.

Here is what I know about Bill's Insiders...

That employee could have been getting news picked up around the office and came from their kids who knows. -
Exactly don't know what games people are watching but if it fits their anti Tyrod crusade then logic doesn't matter. Jags got to a lead with fournette and the running game. Jags D played well early on and they were able to build a nice lead. Bortles had a solid game nothing amazing the same type of game Taylor would get crucified here for since he didnt throw for 300 and the team won despite him.
-
They are the exact same guys. Jags played with a lead the entire game. They didnt have to rely on Bortles to do anything other than not screw it up. Fournette was the key to the game and he destroyed the steelers until he got hurt and Yeldon took over from there.
-
If the Pats neutralize the Jags running game it will be an easy walk to the Super Bowl. Time of possession and Defensive turnovers will be the keys to the game for the Jags.
-
Against an overrated Pittsburgh D. If Taylor put up the same stats you would be killing him. Jax controlled the game with the run and took calculated shots. The same type of offense the Bills have been running for the past 3 yrs.
-
What big game Bortles was terrible for almost the entire game. He hit 1 big play down the field and a wide open fb on the last play hardly inspiring.

Pegula Jet currently headed to Alabama

Bills playing 4d chess for once and looking to outsmart old Billy Boy. If McDaniels leaves as rumored to Indy and we get the Pats replacement before they get a chance will love this hire even more. -
channel 2- Buffalo comments re alleged Incognito...
billieve420 replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah until I hear what was said not worth discussing what needs to be done with Incognito. I will say pretty much the entire offensive line needs to be upgraded across the board. Woods and Incognito get another year at most the way they looked this year. However, RG and RT are more pressing issues this offseason. -
Need someone who has worked well with developing young QBs and should be the main requirement for the next coordinator.
-
Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Hire the guy the Pats want.
-
Firing Dennison was only one part of the equation. If he nails the new coordinator and assistants then he deserves more credit.

Taylor is not going to thrive in a ball control offense requiring 10-12 play drives. Teams didn’t fear our Wr core and it shows they played man and knew Taylor wouldn’ fit throws into tight windows. -
KC where they incorporated a lot of college spread principles is what I wished the Bills had run with Tyrod here. McCoy would have been our Kareem Hunt. We have a bunch of possession receivers with a QB who struggles to throw guys open. Smaller faster receivers who are able to get open in space is what fits Tyrod’s skill set. He looked much better throwing to Watkins, Woods, and company when they were actually on the field than our current WR group. Anytime we started to gain some chemistry another guy would go down.

Beane was brought in after the draft. McDermott/Whaley worked this past draft. McDermott probably had final say on all draft choices last year.
