  1. There not going to send him in the NFC, I don't care what teams offer. If the Broncos offer them 3 firsts and a few players aka maybe Locke & Surtain I am unloading him in a heartbeat. He only has a few good years left anyways.
  2. How much longer can Rojas keep him in the 2 hole? This guy doesnt have a clue at the plate right now. Wainwright made him seem like he never seen a curve ball in his life before. Absolutely ridiculous.
  3. With everyday looking like they are going to let full capacity at the stadiums i think home field advantage is going to be huge this year. Hopefully the road thru the super bowl for the AFC this year runs thru Orchard Park. With the rosters comparable on a talent level, I will take us over the Browns. I just think Allen is so much better than Baker.
  4. Well done sir. I am trying to talk my wife into moving down to south carolina after my daughter graduates. My wife loves the beach so I have been looking right outside of Myrtle Beach, a town called Conway, SC. I will work on my daughter when the time is right to go to Coastal Carolina. Any thoughts on if that is a good place to settle in for a couple that is in their late 40's?
  5. Totally agree, if the Packers truly believe Love is their guy you make this trade without thinking twice.
  6. Agreed, people that are commenting on this with saying it is achievable has never seen that lot on game day. If he did do this as some stated he would lose a lot of business and my guess is he knows that. He came out and said this for a few reasons, one is publicity, it has been over a year and it was like "hey guys don't forget about me." type statement & 2 this statement shows he is making an effort to make his lot safe. You could check vax cards upon entry I suppose and I think that is where it would end. If he started having the gassapo break up & interrupt tailgates for everybody to show their vax card people will find different lots to party in. One thing Bills fans can't stand is being hassled during a tailgate party. & for the record I have gotten vaxed and do not park in that lot because it is a big hassle getting in and out of that lot. (at least where I live in south Lancaster so I really have no skin in the game on this one just stating what I see.
  7. There is a theory on this. With second contract top qbs are pushing $30 million + per year. Try to draft a top qb every 3 - 4 years and let the starting qb walk. The cap savings is enormous and you could build up and keep intack the rest of your team. It is not a coincidence that the seahawks have not made it to the super bowl since they gave Wilson the big contract. There is two thing though where that theory goes to crap. First, it is so hard to hit on a top tier qb & 2 if you already have a top tier qb chances are your not picking in the top 10. It is an interesting theory though but I doubt any gm/coach would have the stones to actually do it.
  8. This is an excellent post, well done sir. I had some serious doubts about Allen. My doubts came from the fact that in his two biggest games against the stiffest competition he would play in College(Oregon & Iowa) he was absolutely horrible. Look up his stats they ere awful. I started to change my tune on him when I went out for drinks for happy hour around Christmas time his last year at Wyoming with my boss, his son and his one friend. They were back for winter break and his son's friend went to Wyoming. This kid went on & on about Allen, saying he is a born leader, saying he just has a presence around campus, how everybody likes him that is around him, he also said they were literally pulling kids out of class to fill out the WR position that last year he played at Wyoming. Said he had no one to throw to. Looking back the reports on Rosen was he was a jerk and wasn't liked by his teammates. I took Rosen off my board when I saw him opening day against A&M. They were down big and came back, Rosen was terrific in that game in the second half. Gus Johnson could stop raving about him. Rosen threw the go ahead score with under a minute left. The whole UCLA bench was going nuts. Something caught my eye though, Rosen was jumping up and down around the field by himself, no one was there to congratulate him. I said right there his teammates can't stand him and really wanted nothing to do with him being the face of the Bills.
  9. Sounds good, I appreciate the information and if comes in I will take you out to dinner next time your in town!
  10. That is funny because us Mets fans that is when the season is usually over and all hope is loss and we turn our attention to the upcoming football season.
  11. Is there any particlular horse you like this year? I don't really follow horse racing, but the Kentucky Derby I always make it a point to put a few bets in. I could use some help.
  12. It is actually our loss. Astro was one of the most knowledgeable posters on the board and the most knowledgeable poster on this board when it came to the Draft and training camp insights. Guy knows his football.
  13. As time has went on I totally agree with this perspective. Classy guys that did all the little things required to win. That team knew how to play baseball. But at the time I hated them. I was young and bitter, what can I say. My son & I were watching the Mets game last night, what a sh*t show. Is it me or do the Mets over the years have place no value on defense and are constantly playing people out of position? I don't what Davis' natural position is but he is not a third baseman. Smith is not a left fielder either. He is a first baseman. This team better get it figured out soon, or we will be looking at meaningless games by the 4th of July.
  14. I used to despise the Yankees, I mean I hated them back when they were going good. The funny thing now is I look back at those 90's/early 2000's team now with admiration and respect. But back in the day I used to hate them so much so even the few years the mets were tangling with the Braves for the NL East and the Braves would be playing an IL game with the Yanks, I would route for the braves even though I knew it would hurt the mets if the braves won. Over time, I mean the Yankees are just another team now. I mean my guess is they will win their 90 games. I watch a lot of baseball and I bet a lot of baseball(I got the MLB package so I get most games) I am not big on Judge and I definately am not big on Stanton. They strike out too much. I am a big fundamental guy, I have coached my sons travel team since he was 8 years old(he is 17 now), the Yankees to me don't do any of the little things to win games. Their situational hitting stinks and it starts with those two guys. They have talent so they will win their games. Us mets fans have our own problems. I know it is early but I wasn't about the Lindor trade when it happened, I sure don't like the 10 year contract they gave that guy(although once the trade went down they had little choice) Guys like Stanton & Judge, I don't like for the same reason I am not crazy about Alonzo. They strike out too much and have no idea how to situational hit. You don't need a 3 run homer all the time.
  15. The other thing I like about Jones is he didn't bail out and find an easy place to start. He stuck it out at bama, I think he was the 4th string qb at one point. That tells me he is a fierce competitor and doesnt mind being in a tough situation. Why don't you like Fields?
  16. Mac Jones is a better athlete than people give him credit for. I think I read somewhere that his 40 time is faster than Allen's. That really surprised me.
  17. I know you know your college football, I just don't see a generational talent when I see Lawrence. I don't know what I expect to see but I just don't see it. I am not saying he is going to be a flop, there is something about his game that just doesn't impress me. If Meyer had any balls he trade out of that spot, haul in a fortune and then use his first pick on Fields. I could be wrong, I didn't like Allen coming out of college either and wanted them to pick Rosen.
  18. I am not sure that is the case anymore, look at all the young good QBs in the league right now - Mahommes/Allen/Hurbert/Burrow/Mayfield/Jackson/Carr. I would argue the QB situation has not been this good since the 83 draft.
  19. He sounded very confident of having full fans at the stadium, not a pipe dream or some far off goal. Sports can not survive without fans. It not a coincidence that baseball is aggressively getting more fans in the stands as they go thru the season. Maybe the NFL could hold out more than the other three leagues but....the NFL loss 3 billion in revenues by not letting fans in last year. They can't keep absorbing that loss in revenues every year.
  20. Poloncarz came out yesterday & said there will be full fans at the Bills games this fall but any fan attending will need to be fully vaccinated. My only question is what happens if you got season tickets with your 10 year old son and they are not eligible for vaccination yet? My guess is they will do waiver/exception for any kid but he didnt refer to that.
  21. We got a house on Lake George third week of August, going to Florida with the whole family including my sisters and BIL and his family in October, I am going to try to visit my friend in Orange County super bowl weekend and then head out to Vegas for that Sat/Sun/Mon for the game(hopefully flights arent too expensive as LA is hosting the super bowl this year) & had to cancel our Aruba trip last spring so my wife and I (no kids) are going to head out there in April then for my son's graduation present next summer we are going to go on a little road trip hit a bunch of MLB ball parks(hopefully Minn/Both Chicago's/Milwakee/Detroit/Cinci/Cleve). Always wanted to do something like that.
  22. Dont get me started on that one. I have no idea what Rojas was thinking.
  23. Haha, I said the same thing to my son the other night when they blew the lead once again for Degrom. I said different year, different owner, different shortstop same old result as the bp can never hold a lead for that guy. They said that was the 33rd time the bullpen blew a lead after the 7th inning for degrom in the last 3 years. Simply mind boggling. Degrom is going to be an intersting case study for the hall of fame. He is not going to have nowhere near the wins he should have but...he is going to have numerous cy youngs to stats. I think he gets in but he is not even going to hit 200 wins in his career the way his luck goes.
