  1. My cousins from Nevada when they came here a few years ago said "maybe we could do a day trip to NYC." I told them it is 8 hours away, they were shocked.
  2. It is laughable if anybody thinks they are going to be able to resell these PSLs to recoup their money in the future. I think it was Baltimore where they stated this also, but when it was time to resell the PSLs they were worthless.(granted their PSLs cost a lot more money). It might of been the Jets but I thought it was Baltimore. It is what it is and it is the price of doing business in the NFL. It is nothing but pure greed but welcome to the NFL. If we don't like it there will be 5 other cities ready to pounce to steal the Bills. I hate but it is certainly not unique to buffalo. Even the $40 - $50 parking now, am I the only one that thinks that is steep, especially for a place like OP where we are not land locked and there is plenty of parking for everybody. Pre Covid I thought the price was $25-$30, to jump it that much in a short time is a bit greedy if you ask me.
  3. My condolences Wacka. From the stories you have shared over the years it sounds like you quite a son to her. That is something to be proud of.
  4. This. Brady is the best of all time, Kelly isn't even in the top 10. Just stop with this nonsense.
  5. I got my cards about 3 weeks ago. They gave me an option sometime mid summer.
  6. You obviously have never saw Baez play. He is on the ir now but my god, I think he has 135 ks this year, I have never seen a MLB hitter chase so many pitches out of the strike zone, I am amazed a pitcher ever throws him a strike.
  7. I see Southtown Tommy gave me a thumbs up! Havent seen you in awhile brother. If your not doing anything labor Day Weekend, September 4th stop over for my college opener party. All the usual gang will be there. Getting a Keg, hopefully the weather works out so we could have it on the patio.
  8. That last piece of advice is really important. Our seats are in 108 so it is easy to get to lot 5 but obviously if your on the other side of the stadium it will take much longer. Usually once you get by California it is smooth sailing, maybe get caught in a few lights but the traffic is always moving. You do got to get there early or your right buried in the back but the lots don't open to 9 so it is a good time to get there but agreed if you want to get there later this probably isnt the best option. Fair enough, I have never tried your way so I shouldn't of said that. Sorry about that.
  9. Ah, a man that thinks just like me. We missed out on the non conference matchups last year and I want to soak it all in this year. As much as I am super excited about the Bills, the NFL is no comparison to college football to me. I just love it. On a side note, my sons one friend, I ran into his dad last week. Big Penn State fan went there, he was telling me how excited he was because he got tickets to the PSU/Auburn game and he was so looking forward to taking his son there to that game. He dropped dead of a heart attack two days after I talked to him. Chilling and makes you think. Only a year older than me. Makes you think. Enjoy everyday looking forward to the things you love.
  10. No offense but this is horrible advice. Park in LOT 5 right off of Southwestern. Make sure you park as close to the middle aisle as possible and make sure you park turn to left side not the right side(if your facing the stadium. Take southwestern all the way to the airport(it will turn into transit) make a left onto genessee and that will take you right into the airport. You will be at the airport at the latest by 5 and should have plenty of time. & before you say I don't know what I am talking about I live in South Lancaster & I am usually home for a 1pm game no later than 4:35 or so. The airport is about 15 minutes away from me heading north.
  11. I didn't go to the formal dinner but we had a happy hour the day before & I went to that last month. It was our 30th. I went to a Catholic High School. We only had I think 110 in our class and I think 20 showed up. It was good seeing some of the guys I haven't seen in awhile. I think out of the 20 8 ladies showed. 4 of them were now lesbians. Nice huh? The scary thing was I dated 3 of the 4 in high school. I am like George Costanza, you date me for awhile and I will push you over the ledge to being gay.
  12. So true, sports are better when certain teams are good. I always said College Football was at it's best when Florida ST & Miami occupied the top 5 year in & year out. Those games were epic and were must see TV when they played. It was great seeing those games in the old Orange Bowl. I went to a game in the Orange Bowl the last season it was open. They played Virginia Tech. Hard to describe but as soon as you walked in to that place you could feel the history. Rickety old stadium, we sat in the upperdecks and I got to tell you I didnt feel really safe up there. Felt like the whole place could come crumbling down at any minute. Historic place though and it was loud. I can't even imagine how loud it got at some of those FSU games, or the game where they played Nebraska for the National Championship when Schnellenberger was there.
  13. Well there is a lot of truth to that. People get sick of seeing Bama in there every year. It will end eventually. In the early 2000's everybody thought Miami would be on top forever and it has been nearly 2 decades since they have been a true National Title Contender. Same with USC & Texas. I don't really give credit anymore to Saban for his coaching, it is the recruiting where he wins. He has 3-4 deep at most position of 4/5 star recruits. The thing I don't understand is if your 4 star recuit and have a chance to go to Bama and be 3/4 strong rb or LB or WR and you have the opportunity to go somewhere else and be a star, why in the world would you go still go to Bama. Makes no sense to me but I guess these guys are all so confident they probably believe they could crack the starting lineup at some point.
  14. How could you not be on board with the Bennett trade from the onset? That trade was a HR the moment it was announced. I knew the Bill fleeced the Colts/Rams
  15. Well we will find out about Miami first week. They are a 17 point dog right now. Unc I think they are legit. They got #1 player in the draft next spring in their qb Howell. Not sure how they would do against the real big boys(Bama/OSU/Clemson) but they would hold their own in the SEC and are better than Ole/Miss ST and even Auburn. BTW, it is a give an take with the SEC, why doesnt Saban play a true road game in one of these opening games? It is always neutral field. A crazy stat I read, I think LSU was supposed to play Whisky at Camp Randal last season and they said it was the first time in like 25 years that an SEC would of played a true non conference road game north of the Mason Dixon line. To Auburn's credit they are going to Happy Valley third week of the season. You would never see Saban schedule a game like that. Also Saban knows he is in a no lose situation opening week. They are always starting the season top 3. Win and they have stranglehold on that spot, lose and they got the rest of the year to recover.
  16. Yeah they probably do have deal since going to death valley nets furman/sc st over a million dollars. I love the story a few years ago when LSU had Troy come to town. It was there homecoming(LSU) & somehow Troy beat them. Troy athletic department later that evening tweeted out "LSU, thanks for having us over for homecoming, we had a blast." Got to love it.
  17. Tulsa and Akron are much different than SCST imo. They are D-1 teams. & yes the SEC for years gives their teams a "bye week" the week before the Thanksgiving weekend and schedules FCS teams. I guess my point was, Clemson knowing there schedule sucks this year should of bought that game against SCst out and played someone legit. Maybe easier said than done, but I stand by saying if that Georgia game should be a knockout game for Clemson if they lose given the rest of their schedule. Now if they had on the schedule UNC/Notre Dame Miami I would feel much differently. Yeah your probably right, what do you do for basketball than with the NCAA Tournament? Does that go away because contrary to what people believe that college football drives the engine for funding of college athletics, the most money made all year is having the NCAA Tournament.
  18. There are a lot of people that tailgate and dont go to the game(I have done it before) but I am with that seems like a really high estimate.
  19. The ACC isn't as bad as they usually are this year, obviously Clemson, but they also have Miami, UNC( who is predicted top 10) also have some cross over games with Notre Dame. But then I just took a look at there schedule and man your not kidding, after the Georgia game it is easy street for Dabo and the boys. They miss all three of those teams. I will go as far as to say if they lose to georgia, that should be an elimination game for them due to their poor schedule the rest of the season. Why schedule South Carolina St second week of the season?
  20. Why on earth would the power 4 conferences want to share revenue with teams like toledo and louis monroe. This will never happen. Schools like that and they are a lot of them out there bring absolutely nothing to the table.
  21. If I was the other Power 5 conferences I would do everything in my power to get this college football expanded playoffs voted down, and then watch while the SEC devours their own year after year and only gets 1 team in the playoffs year after year. I think the Big 12 is done though. I guess they could go after some of the AAC & Mountain West, but I am not sure if that jump to the Big 12 will even be a step after OU & Texas leave
  22. Good points, but that NE/ATL super bowl, was not won on halftime adjustments, it was won because had the worst clock management I have ever seen in a post season game. There were 2 or three drives at the end where all they had to do was run the ball and the game was over and they continued to chuck it around the field. Simply baffling.
  23. Can't disagree with anything you said, he just looks small to me, I don't know if he is going to hold up to the pounding he is going to take. I look at QBs like Allen and herbert and wilson looks like a little kid compared to them. He also looks like a pretty boy d bag, I don't know, something really rubs me the wrong way about him. I think he will be a bust. Time will tell though I guess.
  24. Got it for free last year, it actually was the easiest it has been for years. I just asked for it and she said "no problem." This year I cancelled it, just don't feel like playing the game. I may change my mind as August rolls around, with the Bills games in full attendance I have seasons and won't be at home for half the games anyways. What is interesting in the spring I called for MLB package, which I always get and they gave that to me for free. First time they ever did that. I don't even enjoy the NFL ticket that much. I used it minimally last year. MLB is way better imo and half the cost.
  25. These conference jumps are all about money and survival. Jump to a new/better conference or get left behind. But I find it funny, it rarely results in on field/on court success. Look at Pitt/Syracuse, they have struggled to stay relevant in the ACC and they are certainly not the powerhouses they were when they were back in the Big east for hoops. Look at Maryland, for the most part they do not fit in to the big 10, their football team is a joke and their basketball team has taken more than a few steps back. Nebraska, my god where do I start, their football team is a joke, made even worst by Frost trying to back out of the OU game this year. It is funny, but these moves very rarely translate into on field success.
