  1. I think this would be good news. Teams like Miami that are considering ditching Tanny are going to have to pay big to get their next QB. Teams who have QBs are not letting good ones go for no compensation. The market is making teams pay to get a QB. Since we are no longer in the market, and Miami is, I like it. Miami could also do something similar to ensure that they get some kind of compensation. After Buffalo spending so much for their QB, I think it's only fair that others should have to do the same. Not just Miami, too. Teams like the Giants and even the Bengals could be considering other options. Let them. Teams that have clear needs like Jacksonville, Denver, Miami are in a tough spot because everyone knows it and the market is going to make them pay. Any team that wants Foles will pay dearly and the Eagles are right to not just let him go for nothing.
  2. Our best DE isn't getting any younger and Kyle just retired. Either of those positions is not out of the question. Not our biggest need, but a need none the less. Someone really good will fall to us and I am good with that. I am also good with a trade down scenario. There is so much talent on defense, in this draft, it just makes sense to go get a difference maker early. No clue how things will play out, but a dream scenario would be both Washington and Denver in a bidding war for our draft position. Always wondered how that worked. Washington wants to move up for a QB.....Are the Bills allowed to then call Denver and say "hey, Wash. wants to jump you for a QB, unless you make us an offer we can't refuse." Or does Buffalo have to wait for them to call us?
  3. This is where I am, too. Somebody really good is going to fall to them. Happens every year.
  4. I'm well aware of his antics. That doesn't mean it won't happen, and not that I'm thrilled about the idea.
  5. There are a couple of very good interior OLmen in FA. I expect the Bills will be active there. Don't really know if there are any good recievers in FA. I think the Bills will focus more on offense than defense so I expect at least a couple of those positions to come from both FA and the draft. TE will be drafted I think. Defense won't be overlooked, but the primary focus will be on O. Not really expecting a big splash(Maybe Antonio Brown?) Who knows. Management has proven they are not afraid to wheel & deal. Anything could happen. Right now I think it's important to get coaches hired ASAP. We need an OL coach and a recievers coach badly so they can give some input on fixing OL & receiver problems.
  6. Good. Now lets get their OL coach and their center.
  7. I do believe McCoy has more in his tank as well, Shaw66. Our 3 best OL from last year left for various reasons. That was a devastating blow to the offense as a whole. The OL coach was fired today. It looks like a new coach and help on that line will be addressed in the off season. I'm pretty confident about McCoy actually. The rushing attack will transform. We'll find out soon enough if the change will be for the better. I think it will. The coach has also made a point of calling out the OL play recently as well. Not the best draft for OL but I think the front office is all ready evaluating talent and getting ready for FA and the draft.
  8. I just want guys who can stop the unbelievably quick penetration every time the ball is handed off to a RB. The number of times that a RB was stuffed the very second he got the ball this year just blows my mind. It would also be nice if a hole opened up once in a while. The OL all season has been blown up on running downs too much. Fixing the run game is exactly what Josh Allen needs. Give Allen some help on 1st and 2nd down with some positive yds and there will be no stopping the offense. I have no doubt that management is looking to correct the problem. Maybe a LT and move Dawkins, but I think the other side of the OL, starting with the center is where the big problems exist. Maybe just fixing those spots is a more direct and simpler path.
  9. Seriously? Do you think a young 25 year old would rather have JA throwing to him or go to Miami and not know who will be his QB? Even if you are looking at the money side of it, you want to go somewhere where you have a chance to demonstrate your talent and eventually win that big contract. Miami just an't that place and Buffalo is. Taxes and weather are not really a big factor. Any WR dumb enough to choose Miami over Buffalo probably deserves his fate.
  10. Usually, there is a safety in the middle of the field and usually there is a WR somewhere in the middle with him. Daball is having the WRs run to one side of the field at 3 different levels and drawing the safeties in that direction. There is usually a screen or a quick dump off available for the QB, but in many of these big runs, Allen is the safety valve. All of the defenders are chasing someone downfield. Defenses have tried putting a spy on Allen usually a LB and that guy is just to slow. The only thing that seemed to work was blitzes that kept Allen contained in the pocket but they still had to get there quick. Yea, wide open field for Allen to run to. That is no mistake.
  11. Special teams really did stink this one up. We need a competent punter, returner and gunner. Also, blocking and tackling was horrible. Someone is asleep at the wheel.
  12. With all of these youngsters being promoted to the active roster over the past few weeks, I'm not sure they are prepared for closing out these close games either. Some aren't even coming from the practice squad but from another team. Roster turnover on the OL alone is just crazy. Daboll is also scheming up some crazy stuff. Many of the play calls are actually making Josh Allen his own safety valve. Receivers are often running routes to one side of the field and drawing defenders that way purposefully so Allen has a big empty spot to run to. To me, it looks like the Bills are still trying to find an identity. It's no mistake that Allen is ripping off big runs. The plays are specifically designed that way. They have not been able to open up running lanes in other ways so these option plays and jet sweeps are how they are getting something going. I think the coaches know the OL is a complete tire fire so they are just trying some things that are pretty creative actually. Hate to say it, but the process is still playing out. I think the OL will be a major priority in the off season. In the mean time the ride is just real bumpy.
  13. was that the 1st punt of the game?
  14. That was a late hit. And illegal.
  15. There is no doubt that OC is drawing up plays specifically designed to get Allen involved in the run game.
  16. Maybe it's not too serious. CB Denzel Rice activated from the practice squad.
  17. Got me swingin'. I don't think any of them have even watched a Bills game this year. Unless they did and it was one of the blowouts?
  18. There. Maybe that 28yd run will take a little steam outta Allen so he can put some touch on the ball instead of throwing lasers everywhere.
  19. Never saw this before. Always love seeing the "eperts" getting it wrong week after week....and all in one link! Nice.
  20. That's why I didn't bother correcting it.
